Lucien Bernier

At his residence, June 7, 2002 Mr. Lucien Bernier of Drummond passed away at the age of 66 years.
He was the husband of the former Cecile Leger.
Born at Drummond in 1935, he was a son of the late Arthur and Eva (Cyr) Bernier.

He is survived by his wife, and four daughters, Mona Gagnon (Marcel) of Florenceville, Therese Langlais (Paul) of Drummond, Pauline Vaillancourt (Alyre) of Saint-Andre, Sally Michaud (Ricky) of Grand Falls, Three sons, Aubrey (Laurette) and Billy both of Drummond and Paul (Karine) of Saint-Andre, Three Brothers Jos (Jeannine), Noel (Simone), and Gaetan (Jeannine) all of Grand Falls, and Three sisters, Wilda Roy (Raymond), of Beresford, Rita Michaud (Pius), of Portland, Me. and Marie Poitras of Grand Falls, eight grandchildren, Pierre, Brigitte, Marc, Julie, Annie, Lisa, Todd and Tanya, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother Louis (Viola) of Drummond.

Resting at O`Regan`s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd, Grand Falls, with visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-11 a.m. His funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Michel Roman Catholic Church Drummond, with Father Ivan Theriault officiating.
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are by O`Regan`s Funeral Home, Grand Falls.

Eleanor Bertelsen

At the Grand Falls Manor, June 8, 2002, Mrs. Eleanor Bertelsen of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 89 years.
She was the wife of Raymond Bertelsen and had been a resident of the Manor for the past seven years. Born at Grand Falls in 1913, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Arthemise (Michaud) McLeod.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kara Lynn Birkland, one sister, Marian Taylor-Toner and one brother, Lloyd McLeod.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Birkland (Kenny) of Rochester, New York and Linda Devost (Roger) of Grand Falls, one sister, Elizabeth Fraser of Grand Falls, now living with her children in Ontario, five grandchildren, Krista Ann, David, Susan, Robbie and Tommy, two great grandchildren, Jennifer and Sarah, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1-2 p.m.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, June 13th at 2 p.m. from the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Canning officiating.
Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Grand Falls.
For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Louis Bourgoin

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, April 2, 2003, Mr. Louis Bourgoin of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 69 years. He was married to the former Lucienne Bijeau. Born at Saint-Leonard in 1934, he was a son of the late Walter and Cecile (Ouellette) Bourgoin.

Mr. Bourgoin was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree, council 2743, and 4th degree, of the Saint-Leonard Assembly.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert and Luc (Denise) of Saint-Leonard and Gilles of Florida, three daughters, Danielle (Rodney) Deschaine of Fort Fairfield, Maine, Nycol (Jean-Marie) Gauvin of Saint-Leonard and Linda (Philippe) Lavoie of Florenceville, eight grandchildren, Chad, Dominic, Nadine, Pierre, Jeanot, Jycelin, Michel and Janice, one great grandson, Caleb, four brothers, Walter Jr. and Marcel (Francine) of Brossard, Quebec, George and Maurice (Anne) of Saint-Leonard, eight sisters, Elsie Bourgoin and Florence Marquis of Saint-Leonard, Marie-Lourdes Thibault of Edmundston, Martine Senechal (Jean-Eudes) of Grand Falls, Georgette Muldrow of Limestone, Maine, Laurette Bourgoin of Van Buren, Maine, Pauline Belcher (Ned) of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth (Ted) Henry of New Jersey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Claude.

Resting at O’Regan’s Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. His funeral will be held Saturday, April 5th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church, with interment in the Saint-Leonard cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are by O’Regan’s Funeral Home.

Roger Bourgoin

À Drummond, le jeudi 29 août 2002, à l’âge de 41 ans, est décédé accidentellement Roger Bourgoin, conjoint de Carole Cyr, domicilié à Drummond. Né à Drummond en 1961, il était fils de Paul Bourgoin et d’Edwina Michaud.

Il a été précédé par un frère, Guy et une soeur, Jeanne. Outre sa conjointe et ses parents, il laisse dans le deuil trois enfants, Jamie Côté de Montréal, Alain Bourgoin et Mia Bourgoin, la fille de sa conjointe, Katelyn Després, tous à la maison, sa grand-mère paternelle, Rosanne Bourgoin de Drummond, quatre frères, Maurice (Anne), Armand (Carole) et Yvon (Jacinthe), tous de Drummond et Daniel (Mona Gagnon) de Saint-André, trois soeurs, Diane Côté (Eudore), Ginette Michaud (Julien) et Rosanne Bouchard (Maurice), toutes de Drummond, ainsi que nombreux oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines, neveux et nièces.

La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon Guy O’Regan, 515, boul. Evérard Daigle à Grand-Sault. Ses funérailles auront lieu le lundi 2 septembre à 16h15, en l’église Saint-Michel de Drummond, et l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial. Les heures des visites ce dimanche de 19h à 21h, et ce lundi de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison Funéraire Guy L. O’Regan Ltée.

Gilbert Côté

À l’Hôpital Régional d’Edmundston, le dimanche 30 juin 2002, à l’âge de 70 ans, est décédé Gilbert Côté, époux d’Eva Levesque, domicilié à Grand-Sault.
Né à Drummond en 1932, il était fils de feu Adelard E. Côté et de feu Albertine Leclerc.

Avant sa retraite, M. Côté a travaillé pendant plusieurs années au département d’eau et d’égouts de la ville de Grand-Sault.

Il a été précédé par ses frères et soeurs, Camille, Noël, Lucien, Laurette, Maurice, Guildor et Claudette.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, deux fils, Joey Petre (Anne-Marie) de Pembroke, Ontario et Gilles (Vicki) de Drummond, deux filles, Lynne (David) Sullivan de Grand-Sault et Pauline (Mark) Corriveau de Portland, Maine, cinq petits-enfants, ses frères et soeurs, Gérard (Mary) de Welland, Ontario, Rév. Père Renaud Côté, c.j.m., de Pont-Rouge, Québec, Florine (John) Beidl de Raleigh, Caroline du Nord, Yvon (Jeanne d’Arc) de Grand-Sault et Fernande (Jacques) Cyr de Drummond, belles-soeurs, Claire Côté de Niagara Falls, Ontario et Bessie Côté de Grand-Sault, beaux-frères, Jim Pelletier de St. David, Maine et Guy Michaud de Grand-Sault, ainsi que nombreux neveux et nièces.

La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon Guy O’Regan, 515, boul. Evérard Daigle à Grand-Sault.
Ses funérailles auront lieu le jeudi 4 juillet à 11h en l’église de l’Assomption de Grand-Sault, suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial. Heures des visites ce mercredi de 19h à 21h, et ce jeudi de 9h30 jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. Pour ceux qui le désirent, on demande de faire un don à la société canadienne du cancer. La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison Funéraire Guy L. O’Regan Ltée.

Léo D. Dubé

À l’Hôpital Régional d’Edmundston, le samedi 13 juillet 2002, à l’âge de 81 ans, est décédé Léo D. Dubé, époux d’Eva Dubé, domicilié à Grand-Sault. Né à Saint-Léonard en 1920, il était fils de feu Désiré Dubé et de feu Léopoldine Turcotte.

Il a été précédé dans la tombe par trois enfants, Théophile, Robert et Claudette. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil deux fils, Henri de Terrebonne, Québec et Léonard (Carol) de Randolph, Vermont, quatre filles, Rita Fournier (Laurent) de Grand-Sault, Cécile Gahan (Peter) de Farmingham, Massachusetts, Célina Dubé (Francis Marin) de Laplaine, Québec et Irma Burke (Bill) de Sudbury, Massachusetts, onze petits-enfants, quatre arrière-petits-enfants, un frère, Alphé Dubé (Yvonne) de Perth-Andover et une soeur, Délima Beaupré de Saint-Léonard, ainsi que nombreux neveux et nièces.

La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon Guy O’Regan, 515, boul. Evérard Daigle à Grand-Sault. Ses funérailles auront lieu le mardi 16 juillet à 11h en l’église de l’Assomption de Grand-Sault, suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial. Heures des visites ce lundi de 14h à 16h, et de 19h à 21h, et ce mardi de 9h30 jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. Pour ceux qui le désirent, on demande de faire un don à la société canadienne de la croix-rouge.

Erik Jensen

At Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, April 11, 2003, Mr. Erik Jensen of Oak Bay passed away at the age of 81 years. He was the husband of the late Thelma Sorensen. Born at Logstor, Denmark in 1922, he was the son of the late Anton Magnus and Magrethe (Bodker) Jensen.

Mr. Jensen was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sons, David of Fredericton and Karl (common-law spouse Cindy McLean) of St. Stephen, one daughter, Bonnie King (Eugene) of Fredericton, four grandchildren, one sister, Pauline DiLaurenzio of Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as nieces and nephews.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, at the church, from 1-2 p.m. His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 2 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark, with Rev. John Mills officiating, assisted by Pastor Kimber McNabb.
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Diabetes. Association would be appreciated by the family.

Joseph Langlais

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, May 22, 2002, Mr. Joseph Langlais of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 96 years.
He was the husband of the late Almida Pelletier.

Mr. Langlais was formerly a loyal member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club.

Born at St-Leonard-Parent in 1905, he was a son of the late Belonie and Emma (Deveau) Langlais.
He was predeceased by one brother, Eddie and one sister, Celia.
He is survived by seven children, Gilbert (Odette) of Lasalle, Quebec, Pauline Bernier (Nelson) of Grand Falls, Ephrem "Bill" (Helene) of North Montreal, Norma Bourgoin (Victor) of Grand Falls, Francois (Liette) of Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, Quebec, Ghislain (Edna) and Jean-Louis "Pee Wee" of Grand Falls, 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother, Nelson of Saint-Andre, three sisters, Marie Gagnon and Annee Bonenfant of Grand Falls and Eva Cote of Hamilton, Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
His funeral will be held Monday, May 27th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with Father William Rice officiating.
Interment will be in the Assumption Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Foundation of the Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Members of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club will meet for prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
