Predeceased by her husband Albert; son Elias; sister Carrie and brothers: Joseph, Robert and Ebinenizer. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Colin (Edna), Wilbert (Clara), Eric (Pansy); daughters: Ruby (John) Hibbs, June (Sidney) Hurley, Phyllis (Clifford) Rowsell and Jessie (Ralph-deceased) Roberts; brother Garfield and sister Jessie (Norman) Hibbs; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren,15 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to her homecare workers Gwen Foss and Hazel Rendell. Visitation will take place from Botwood Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, January 15, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 2:oo p.m. from Jubilee Pentecostal Church in Botwood with Pastor Fraser Roberts officiating. Interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Troy Seabright (grandson), Darren Seabright (grandson), Bruce Seabright (grandson), Pleaman Rowsell (grandson), Larry Ernst (grandson-in-law) and Paul Cramm (friend). Honorary pallbearer Garfield Blake (brother).

Predeceased by her parents: Thomas and Gertrude; brother Stan Cannings and sister Vina Keefe. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Carson of Toronto, On; daughters: Lennet (Wayne) of Woodbridge, ON and Juanita (Mario) of Bolton, ON; sisters: Dulcie Neary and Anna Ryan; brother Winston Canning; 7 grandchildren: Cordella, Chanc, Chancine, Douglas, Chantel, Farrah, Kyle; 3 great-grandchildren: Alexa, Maddison, Matthew and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Citadel in Peterview with Captains Colin and Jackie Abbott officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Peterview. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Wayne Chalmers, Carson Blake, David Dacres, Chanc Cave, Kyle Santangelo and Douglas Blake.

Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Center, Botwood, Harold Dean at the age of 83. Predeceased by his brothers: Ryburn, Wilfred, Frank, Alfred and Kenneth; sisters: Elsie, Millie and Marg and great-granddaughter Emily. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Terry (Joan) of Northern Arm; daughters: Brenda of Toronto, ON, Kathleen (Russell) Fudge of Grand Falls - Windsor, Janice of Botwood and Barbara Ann (Ray) Saunders of St. John's; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer, Pamela, Michael, Matthew, Jessica and Douglas; 5 great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Samantha, Ryan, Benjamin and Chloe; brother Ewart (Doris); sisters: Ann and Kit; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Monday, January 29, 2007 and Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church in Botwood with Rev. Linda Burt officiating. Interment was at The Trinity United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory were made to The United Church, Botwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Harry Barnes (friend), Eric Humphries (friend), Tony Temple (friend), Terry Dean (son), Matthew Luff (grandson) and Douglas Fudge (grandson). Honorary pallbearer Ewart Dean (brother).

Passed peacefully away on February 2, 2007 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Center, Botwood Ida Langdon at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Herbert and 4 sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Art (Lillian), David (Madonna), Douglas (Brenda) all of Botwood, Randolph (Judy) of Ontario, Wavey (John) Penton of Buchans, extended family Gloria and Madeline; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; half sister Lillian and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, February 4, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood with Major Denzil Baggs officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Art Langdon, Randolph Langdon, Chad Langdon, Sabrina Langdon, Connie Penton and Jonathon Wall. Honorary pallbearers were: David Langdon and Douglas Langdon.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her life partner Bill Manuel; son Derrick (Maria) of Bowmanville, ON; daughter Carole (Scott) Grant of Torbay; brother Gerald (Helen) of Gander; grandchildren: Jimmy, Zachery, Angela and Trevor; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on February 8, 2007 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, Jack E. Butt at the age of 83 years. Mr. Butt retired from Ultramar Ltd in 1984 and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5. He was the last surviving sibling of Moses and Elsie Butt and was predeceased by granddaughter Jackie Price Woolridge. Left to mourn are his wife Daisy; sons: Howard (wife Ada) of Gander, NL, Donald (wife Barbara) of Paradise, NL; daughter Helen (husband Keith Manuel) of Ajax, ON; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church with Rev. Linda Burt officiating. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were members of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 5, Botwood.

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his family residence Wallace Hemeon at the age of 85 years. Mr. Hemeon retired from Abitibi Price, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served with RAF World War II. Predeceased by his wife Clarice. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Brian (Jennifer) of St. John's, NL; daughter Susan (John) Bothwell of Ottawa, ON, 1 granddaugther Tess and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Flowers were gratefully accepted or donations were made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.

Visitation took place from the Salvation Army Church in Glovers Harbour on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 from 7-9 p.m and on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service was held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Captains Jamie and Elaine Locke officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Wilson Robinson, Wally Robinson, Alvin Ward, Gerald Marsh, Cecil Marsh and Pierce Farrell. Honorary pallbearer Esther Keddie.

Linda Burt officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Buchans. Flowers were gratefully accepted or donations were made to the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Aubrey Goodyear (son), Carson Goodyear (grandson), Art Hutchings (son-in-law), Pat Byrne (friend), Don Carter (friend) and Lloyd Luscombe (nephew).
