Mrs. Adams was a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Alvin (Edna), Berkeley (Beverly), Byron (Peggy) all of Grand Falls - Windsor; daughter Joyce (Douglas) Kelly of Grand Falls - Windsor; sisters: Mary Ledrew, Joyce Hardiman and Charlotte Freake; brothers: Gordon Freake and Donald Freake; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel with Major Sandra Stokes officiating. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road. No flowers by request, donations in her memory were made to The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel Memorial Fund or The Carmelite House. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: sons: Alvin, Berkeley and Byron, son-in-law Douglas Kelly; grandsons: Jeffrey and Daniel.

July 23, 1939 -Feb 3 2007

Passed peacefully away on February 3, 2007 at the Leonard Miller Centre, St. John’s Shirley Bradbury at the age of 67 years. Predeceased by her parents and sister Jean. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her life partner Bill Manuel; son Derrick (Maria) of Bowmanville, ON; daughter Carole (Scott) Grant of Torbay; brother Gerald (Helen) of Gander; grandchildren: Jimmy, Zachery, Angela and Trevor; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church with Rev. Linda Burt officiating. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Derrick (son), Gerald (brother), Scott (son-inlaw), Wade, Keith and Dwight (nephews).

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: David (Marie), Edward (Violet) both of Clarenville, Randy (Wanda) of Steady Brook, Paul (Verna) of Grand Falls - Windsor and Sherwin (Jennifer) of Badger; daughters: Lorraine (William) Papineau of Pickering, ON, Lillian (Mark) of Seagrave, ON, Janet of Badger and Yvonne (Ken) of North Bay, ON; daughter-in-law Diane of Clarenville. Also leaving to mourn sister, Barbara Rideout and brothers: Charles (Alvina) and Edward (Joyce); 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 2:00. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road with Captains Morris and Wanda Vincent officiating. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Union Street. Donations in her memory was made to the Heart and Stroke Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: sons David, Edward, Randy, Paul, Sherwin and grandson Cory.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Carson of Toronto, On; daughters: Lennet (Wayne) of Woodbridge, ON and Juanita (Mario) of Bolton, ON; sisters: Dulcie Neary and Anna Ryan; brother Winston Canning; 7 grandchildren: Cordella, Chanc, Chancine, Douglas, Chantel, Farrah, Kyle; 3 great-grandchildren: Alexa, Maddison, Matthew and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Citadel in Peterview with Captains Colin and Jackie Abbott officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Peterview. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Wayne Chalmers, Carson Blake, David Dacres, Chanc Cave, Kyle Santangelo and Douglas Blake.

Rev. Charles Harris conducted funeral services on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from St. Albans Anglican Church. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery, Caribou Road. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Justin Bourne, Todd Moss, Todd Moss JR., David Moss, Keith Verge and Jeff Ireland.

Passed peacefully away on August 13, 2007 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Doyle Burt at the age of 68 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Audrey (Nee Menchenton); son Lyndon (Kim); daughter Lynette (Bob) Bowes. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Rose Whiteway and Evelyn Webb; brothers: Reginald and Garland Burt; grandson Joshua Burt and granddaughters: Katherine and Alexandra Bowes. At the family's request cremation has take place. Pastor Marvin Burton conducted a private family service on Thursday August 17, 2007. Donations in his memory were made to the South and Central Health Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr Cross retired from the Armed Forces (Airforce) in 1986 and he was a member of the Melitia and Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Falls-Windsor. Predeceased by his parents: Frederick and Catherine Cross. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Elizabeth; sons: Russell (Leslie) of St. Mary's, ON, Sean (Kimberley) of London, ON; step-sons: Robert (Sheila) and John (Paulette) both of Grand Falls- Windsor; daughter Tracy (Jeff) of Stratford, ON; step-daughters: Jessie (Terry), Christine (Fred) both of Grand Falls-Windsor, Donna (Bruce) of Fort McMurray, AB and Kimberly (Clarence) of Red Deer, AB; sister Joan and brother William (Pat); 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 13, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. Flowers were gratefully accepted or donations in his memory were made to the Children's Wish Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Predeceased by his parents: Michael and Mary Dormody, brother Mike and brother-in-law Junior Dancey. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bonnie, son Ed (Joanne) of Halifax; granddaughter Megan and grandson Stephen of North Carolina. Also leaving to mourn his sister, Mary; brothers: Pat (Carole), Ed (Marina), Leo (Betty), Kevin (Marie), Andrew (Judy) and Syl; sisters-in-law Maude and Selina; mother and father-in-law Ed and Nell Flood; special cousin Marguerite Anstey and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father David Joy officiating. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Also leaving to mourn 24 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters Shirley (Levi) Stride; brothers: John (Diane), Larr (Wavey), Joe (Bernice) and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Botwood Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Coady officiating. Interment at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.
