It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donna Winsor announces her passing at the Springdale Hospital on Thursday, June 26th, 2008 age 58. Predeceased by her parents, Bennett and Mae Oake and a brother Brian in infancy. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Randolph; son, Kirk (Patty); grandson, Cameron; brothers: Roy (Averil), Bramwell (Carmie) and Neil (Darlene); sisters: Sophie (John) and Marjorie (Cluney); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Larry Fudge officiating. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley's Island. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

October 11, 2007

Passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, John Young at the age of 49 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Sharon; sons: Jonathon and Grant; daughter Katie all of St. Anthony; parents: Henry and Patricia Young of Grand Falls - Windsor; brothers: Mike (Lynn) and Chris (Lynn) and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from the Windsor Pentecostal Church with Pastor Andrews officiating. Interment at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the South and Central Health Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: brothers: Mike and Chris; nephew Mark, brother-in-law Alton, cousin Bob Young and friend Fred Drover.

Left to mourn with fond loving memories are; daughter, Anne (Lloyd) Burt; son, David (Evelyn) Budgell; grand children, Jessie (Ern) Bowers, Sadie (Larry) Foss, Clyde ( Joan) Burt, Shawn ( Valarie) Burt, Kelly (Ronald) Sheppard, Donna Burt, Beverley (Trevor) Blake, Shane Budgell & Robin (Jeff) Locking; great-grandchildren, Sheldon, Sarah, Shaunarae, Stephen, Renee, Kayla, Sonya, Stephanie, Brittany, Andrew & Melanie; great-great grandchild, Camryn; Sisters Edith (Rex) Chaulk; brother, Leonard Seymore. Visitation will take place from Botwood Funeral Home from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Friday, July 18, 2008; 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2008; 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2008. Mary Baird
October 16, 2008

It is with sadden hearts we announce that Mary’s journey of life on earth ended on October 16, 2008, at the General Hospital in Dartmouth, NS, aged 79. She was born in Curling, NL on January 27, 1929 but grew up in Bishop’s Falls, NL. Mary Courageously fought her short battle with lung cancer and peacefully passed away in the arms of her daughter-in-law. Previously of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, she fulfilled her dreams of “crossing the water” and spent the last 16 months of her life living in her cozy apartment in Dartmouth close to her family with her two cats, Kelli and Kimmie, where she enjoyed life to the fullest despite her failing health. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Harry (1999); grandson Harry (1999); parents, Thomas and Anne O’Keefe. Left to mourn with fond loving memories; son, Andrew (Rita) Baird of Dartmouth, NS; granddaughter, Daphne (Stephen) Love of Ottawa, ON; grandson, Andrew (Victoria) Dutton, ON; two precious great-grandchildren, Felicia & Andrew; special Niece Kelli (mike) MacKenzie of Dartmouth, NS; sisters, Betty (Bruce) Windeler of Port Hawkesberry, NS, Madelyn (John) Gray of Stephenville, NL, Eleanor (Greg) Dorken of Medicine Hat, AB, Lynn (Sonny) Stride of Powell River, BC; brothers, Gill (Jen) of Stephenville Crossing, NL. Jim (Gen) of Bishop’s Falls, NL, Ron (Nancy) of Stephenville, NL, Neil (Marion) of Bishop’s Falls NL and Gerry of Edmonton Alberta; brother-in-law, Donald (Louise) Baird; sister-in-law Betty Baird-Cross of NL. As well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Special Thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Sarah Seaman and to the doctors and nurses at the Dartmouth General Hospital and the Dickson Cancer Centre. Donations in her memory can be made to the Exploits Valley SPCA in Grand Falls-Windsor or to any chapter of MADD Canada.
