Gordon William Rees
March 3, 1921 - September 2, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Rees announce his passing on Sept., 02, 2009 at his residence in Botwood, NL. He is predeceased by his parents Maxwell and Annie Rees; two brothers, Eric and Albert; two sons, Gordon James (1972) and Gerald William (2002). Gordon was born in Wabana, Bell Island in 1921, then at age 5 relocated to Botwood. He lived his life employed as a water nipper and later as a truck driver. During the War he served with the NL Forestry Unit and The British Home Guard for six years. During his time in Scotland he met and married Ina Murray of Golspie Sutherland, Scotland. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Ina; children, Maxwell (Shirley), Elizabeth (Terry), Brian (Barbara), Allan (Sharon), Eric, Anne (Bruce); one sister, Margaret (Ford); sister-in-laws; Gertie Rees, and Myrtle Rees; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at Botwood Funeral Home on Friday September, 4, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September., 5, 2009 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Botwood Citadel, with Major Calvin and Beryl Collins officiating. Interment at The Salvation Army Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted or donations can be made in his memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Pallbearers are sons; Max, Allan, Brian, Eric, great grandson Jacob, and special friend Roy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

Annie Pope
February 26, 1949 - December 16, 2009

It is with sadness that the family of the late Annie Janet Pope announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 60 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Julia Pope. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her brother, Clarence ( Mary) of Ontario, Fred (Olive) of Peterview, Albert of Peterview, Cecil (Marlene) of Botwood, and Ken (Cheryl) of Nova Scotia; sister, Mary of Peterview; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11 am from Trinity United Church, Botwood, NL. Visitation will take place Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, Botwood, NL. Donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or The Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation. Pallbearers: Cecil Pope, Ken Pope, Hedley Shepherd, Ben Blake, Eric Samson, and Jim Samson. Honorary Pallbearers: Fred Pope, Albert Pope. Effie M. Woodworth
October 9, 1928 - December 29, 2009

It is with sadness that the families of the late Effie M. Woodworth announce her passing at her residence in Pt. Leamington, aged 81 years. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Irene White; stepmother, Elsie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: husband Archibald, children, Elizabeth (Truman) Robinson of Springdale, Ruth (Bruce) Loder of Badger, James (Brenda-Lee) Woodworth of Grand Falls-Windsor, Irene (Florence Cross) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Sylvia (James) Saunders of St. Lunaire, Ivan (Donna) of Pt. Leamington; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Claire) White of Sydney B.C., George (Ruby) White of Beaver Bank, NS, and Wayne (Barbara) White of Truro, NS; brother-in-law Roland (Lily) Woodworth; sister-in-laws, Mary Woodworth and Olive Woodworth; special friend, Joan Martin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place Friday, January 1, 2010 at 2 pm from The Pentecostal Church, Pt. Leamington with Pastor Jeffery Green officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 7-9 pm; Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Pentecostal Church, Pt. Leamington, NL. Donations in her memory may be made to the Village of Hope, Malawi. Pallbearers: Ivan Woodworth, Jody Noel, Roger Robinson, Aaron Slaney, Lorne Robinson, and Ryan Moss. Irene V. Warford (ne้ Noseworthy)

February 18, 1930-March 13, 2009

Passed gracefully into the arms of Jesus on March 13, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her precious grandson, Justin Warford; parents, Lloyd and Belle Noseworthy and brother Allan Noseworthy. Giving thanks to Almighty God for her wonderful life are her loving and devoted husband and best friend of almost 60 years, Ronald; daughters Gwen Warford, Vera (Derek) Williams, Gloria (Kevin) Thompson and sons, Lloyd (Delphine) Warford and Kirk (Melinda) Warford ; precious grandchildren, Tim (Kim) Thompson, Paul (Tish) Williams, Lori (Corey) Murray, Marsha Thilbert, Amy (Troy) Penney, Corey, Zachary and Hillary Warford and great-grandchildren Eric and Kathleen Thompson, Holly, Grace and Max Williams, and Ryan and Clare Murray. Sisters, Jean Belbin, Gwen Hudson, Beatrice Cross and Cheryl Taylor; brother, Lloyd (Joan) Noseworthy. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Sunset Memorial, Grand Falls-Windsor, March 13 at 7-9 pm, and Saturday, March 14 at 1-4 pm. Evening visitation, 7-9 pm from Bethany United Church, Pleasantview. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 2 pm from Bethany United Church, Plesantview, with interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Pleasantview. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Pleasantview. Pallbearers are: Paul Williams, Timothy Thompson, Corey Warford, Zackary Warford, Kevin Thompson & Derek Williams. Harris F.B. Warford
February 26, 1923 - October 30, 2009

He is predeceased by son Reggie; parents, Bennett and Fanny Warford; and brother Royburn Warford. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Ivy; stepson, Raymond (Hazel) Rolfe; sons, Calvin (Donna), Clarence (Bonnie), Bruce (Vina), John (Ina), Hughie (Golda) and Larry (Judy); daughters, Marilyn Dormody, Exie (Robert) Sciocchetti; 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2 pm from The Bethany United Church, Pleasantview, NL, with Rev. Marilyn Rees officiating. The interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery Pleasantview, NL.
