DAVIS: It is with profound sorrow that we announce that Gwen Davis, beloved mother to only daughter Kim and her husband Mitch Iwasiuk and grandma to Misheyla (Eric), Riley (Kaylene) and Cody, passed away on May 24, 2009 after a courageous year long battle with cancer, at the age of 65 years.
A Celebration of Gwen’s Life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Ball officiating.
Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
Donations in memory of Gwen may be made to the Funds For Furry Friends, Suite 208 - 740 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 0K9, the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, "Western Manitoba Cancer Care Project," 150 McTavish Ave. East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3, or to the Women’s Resource Centre, 800 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 6N5

HARPE: October 18, 1953 - May 21, 2009. Peter Harpe passed away On May 21, 2009.
He is predeceased by father, Wesley Albin Harpe, mother Victoria Vicky Harpe, and a brother Melvin.
He is survived by his family - Barbara and children Abbey, Sarah and Erik, and by a sister Carol (Andy) Dube and their families.
A time of fellowship will be held at the Park Community Centre, 1428 Louise Avenue, Brandon, on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AFM, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.

LACHANCE: James Lachance passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009.
A funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 2:30 with Pastor Joe Ball officiating.

McALISTER: Evelyn Aylene (née Grant), passed away peacefully at Fairview Home on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the age of 101 years.
Aylene is the beloved mother of Claire (Patrice) Noiret and grandmother to three granddaughters, all of England, and dear sister to Wanda (Doug) Meadows of Brandon.
The funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rt. Rev. Bishop Jim Njegovan officiating.
Interment will follow at the lawn section at the Brandon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Fairview Fund, 1351-13th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4S6.

MERCKX-SOMERVILLE: Evelyn Merckx-Somerville of Brandon passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the age of 61 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 327- 4th Street, Brandon on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Dominic Yuen as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Brandon, 203- 1570- 18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 5C5.

PLOWMAN: Merle Isabel Plowman (née Stothart), beloved wife of Albert, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on May 22, 2009.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Bob Hunter and Rev. Gordon Stevenson officiating. Interment will take place at the Strathclair Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Merle may be made the Christmas Cheer Board.

STACY: The family of Jack Steven Stacy sadly said farewell to him on Saturday, May 30, 2009 after an incredible 17 year battle with inoperable cancer.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 327 – 4th Street, Brandon with Fr. Dominic Yuen as Celebrant.
Cremation will follow and a private interment of Jack’s ashes will be held at a later date.

THIESSEN: Mary Thiessen of Brandon passed away peacefully at her residence in the Valleyview Care Centre on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the age of 99 years.
Funeral service will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 951- 10 Street, Brandon, MB on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valleyview Care Centre Fund, 3015 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7B 2K2.

WAKEFIELD: Eunice Donaline Wakefield of Brandon, beloved wife of the late Don Wakefield, passed away peacefully at her residence at Fairview Personal Care Home on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the age of 78 years.
A Celebration of Eunice’s Life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Brockie Donovan Funeral Celebrant Mr. Lawrence McInnes officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eunice may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, #1, 613-10th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4G6 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.

WELSH: It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of our beloved Nan, Evelyn Welsh.
Nan died peacefully at Fairview Home on Saturday, May 16, 2009 in the early evening.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in June.
An announcement will be made prior to that service.
Flowers are gratefully declined.
