WILSON_Mrs. Marion Isobel Wilson of Carnduff passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her parents Ewen & Elizabeth (Woodward) Cameron; and son Larry. Marion is survived by her loving husband Tom of Carnduff; daughter Betty (Larry) Mills of Rocanville, SK; granddaughter Sherri (Kirby) Fowler and their daughter Avery all of Regina; also grandson Neil Mills of Toronto. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the St. Andrews United Church, Carnduff, SK. Mrs. Bev Ireland officiating with interment to follow at Workman cemetery. ACKERMAN_Mary Katherine (Kohler) passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Formerly of Chamberlain, SK, but recently residing in Regina and Mill Bay, BC, Mary is predeceased by her husband Philip Ackerman in 1993, grandson Philip Polard, brother Peter Kohler; sisters: Agnes Huber, Susan Ackerman, Matilda (Tillie) Ackerman. She is survived by a brother William (Bill) Kohler; sons: Wilfred (Vivian), Orville (Ellie), Joseph (Arlene), Edward (Mary Lou); daughters: Eileen Batza (Garnet Harmon), Jeanette Polard (Jacques); and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren: Lori Gottselig (Colin), Lyle Ackerman, Leland Ackerman (Shelley), Bradley Batza (Carmen), Leanne Thompson (Paul), Charleen Caumanns (Nick), Loreleen La Porta (Cosimo), Jeremiah Polard; Jeffrey Ackerman (Andrea), Brent Ackerman (Monique), Philip Ackerman (Tammy), Jason Ackerman (Colleen Burke); Trevor Ackerman, Jennifer Ackerman, Christopher Ackerman; Amber Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman; great grandchildren: Ashley Gottselig, Derrick Gottselig; Baylee Batza; Jake Thompson, Ally Thompson; Katherine Caumanns, Isabelle Caumanns, Alexandra Caumanns; Matteo La Porta; Josh Ackerman; Jenna Ackerman, Devan Ackerman; Amy Evans, Kevin Evans, Justin Evans. Mary was born and raised in the Holdfast area until she married, and lived, farmed and raised her family in the Chamberlain area until retiring in 1977 in Regina. Visitation for all will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2004 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service Mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Parish Centre, 425 Broad Street North, Regina. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Chamberlain Cemetery Fund, Chamberlain, SK S0G 0R0. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services.

BROWN_On Sunday May 23, 2004 Curtis Lynn Joseph Brown of Rainy River Reserve, Ont. passed away suddenly in Fort San, Ontario. He was 42 years of age. He is survived by his mother Emma and stepfather Ralph Geyer of St. Paul, United States. Also survived by his brothers Richard and Christopher Brown of Minnisota.
Also surviving is mother of his children Diana Redman Badger, daughter Agnus Jenny-May Brown and son Braidy Wicasaiyice Brown and mom-in-law Adeline Redman, all of Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation. Curtis will be greatly sadly missed by many numerous friends and relatives.
He was a loving father, true friend and an incredible artist who was taken well before his time.

FERGUSON_Mr. Alexander John `Jack' Ferguson, of Yorkton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 29, 2004. He was 78 years of age. Jack had been a chartered accountant since 1956 and a long time partner in the accounting firm of ParkerQuine LLP, Yorkton. Survived by his wife Nancy, sons: Ian of Ottawa and Doug of Yorkton, a brother Mac (Rena) Ferguson of Yorkton, and niece Wendy (Mike) Maze and family. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at St. Andrew's United Church in Yorkton. Memorials to the Palliative Care Program of the Sunrise Health District would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home, Yorkton.

GELHORN_Esther Helen, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the Vancouver General Hospital on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the age of 85 years. She will be missed by her five children and their families, Janet Geggie (Kevin, Rodney and Jennifer) of Calgary, Dianne Armstrong and Bob Douglas (Valerie and Dan Mackey) of Surrey, Rod and Ellie Gelhorn (Kari and Pat Stewart, Blair and Kathleen, Steven) of Port Coquitlam, Gordon and Susan Gelhorn (Brieanne, Danielle and Alex) of Langley, and Denise and Ray Lindroos (Katrina and Sonja) of Burnaby, several greatgrandchildren, as well as her sister Hattie Zarek of Sidney, B.C., and brothers and sisters-in-laws. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Harry in 1991, son-in-law Peter Geggie in 1999, and sister Eleanor Hollerbaum in 2002, great-grand daughter Emily Stewart on May 27, 2004. Esther was born on March 8, 1919 in Southey, SK. She and Harry moved to Burnaby in 1944. She led an active and vibrant life in the City of Burnaby. The funeral service, and celebration of her life, will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 2:30 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Royal Oak Ave. at Canada Way, Burnaby, BC. with Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. MACGREGOR_ Phyllis (nee Caden) passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2004 at the age of 80. Left to celebrate her life are her husband Don; daughters: Linda (Ken) Kirby and Judy (Doug) Morcom; sons: Don (Lynn) and Doug (Gia); grandchildren: Dan (Lori Ann), Anita (Darrell), Dawn (James), Mike (Carmen), James (Ingrid), Adam, Leah, Lauren and Liette and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Melissa, Tanner, Matt, and Megan. She is predeceased by her parents, Austin and Sarah, and infant brother, and her aunts Sybil, Annie, and Polly who helped to raise her. Phyllis left her home in Newcastle, England at the young age of 17 to join the Royal Air Force during WWII, where she proudly served as a motor transport driver. She met her husband Don, an RCAF Navigator, in Scotland in December 1943 and the two were married on January 29th of 1944. She came to Canada with her oldest daughter in 1946 to join her husband. They lived in Saskatoon, then moved to Regina in 1949, where Phyllis was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was a volunteer with many organizations, and served as President of the MS Society of Regina for many years. Phyllis was happiest when spending time with her family and friends, especially during summers at the family cabin on Long Lake. Her stories of her life in England were a source of fascination for her children and grandchildren alike. Phyllis had a tender heart, and was always willing to welcome others into her life. All who knew and loved her will sadly miss her. The family sincerely thanks the third floor staff of the Santa Maria Senior Citizen's home. In honor of Phyllis' wishes, no funeral service will be held. If friends so desire, memoriam contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Regina Chapter, 150 Albert Street, Regina, SK, S4R 2N2. MITCHELL_It is with great sadness the family of MR. WILLIAM (BILL) MITCHELL, retired Moose Jaw Police Service Chief, announce his passing on May 31, 2004 at the age of 70 years. Bill is survived by Doreine, his loving wife of 50 years, his son Norman and wife Bonny of Ft. Qu'Appelle and his son Richard of Regina. In addition to his wife and sons, Bill was intensely proud of his four grandchildren: Sean of Winnipeg, Katherine of Calgary, Kelly of Charlettown and Alayne of Toronto, as well as two greatgrandchildren, Zachary and Haley. Bill is also survived by three brothers: Don and Ted of England and Jim of Moose Jaw. Bill's 35 year career as a Peace Officer began the 3rd of October, 1956 and he continued to provide tireless, dedicated service to the citizens of Moose Jaw until his retirement from the Position of Chief of Police the 31st of January 1992. Retirement from a very successful career was not enough to satisfy Bill's love for life and after departing from the Police Service; he continued to pursue his life long passion for farming on the family farm at Stony Beach. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Moose Jaw. Reverend Father Gerry Bauche will Preside. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will he held Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, 1755 Stadacona West, Moose Jaw, Sask. In living memory of Bill, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home. W.J.JONES & SON MOOSE JAW 693-4644
