EPP - Gloria Elaine (nee Doig) 1947 - 2004 Gloria Elaine Epp, beloved wife of Bruno of Airdrie, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the age of 56 years. Gloria was born on April 6, 1947 in Kindersley, SK. Besides her loving husband Bruno, Gloria was the proud mother of Bryan (Leslie-Ann), and Daphne (Karl); and grandmother of Mackenzie, Quinn and Delaney. She is also survived by her mother Edna Peebles and her sister Donna (Bruce) Sim. Gloria will be missed by one and all. She was predeceased by her father Douglas Doig. HAGMAN - Marcia "Ruth" 1926 - 2004 Ruth Hagman of Calgary passed away at the Bow View Nursing Home on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the age of 77 years. Ruth was born on August 22, 1926 in Erskine, Alberta. Ruth is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Peter Heerschop and Karen and Glen McBride, all of Calgary; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry and Sherry Hagman of Wembley, AB, James Douglas Hagman of Golden, BC, and Kevin Hagman of Grande Prairie, AB; as well as fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Barbara (Jim) Craig, Harold (Charlene) Wright, Jim (Wanda) Wright, Helene (Larry) Lyseng, Barry (Jean) Wright, and Gloria Maess. Ruth was predeceased by her husband James; her parents Viola and Hal; a sister Mary, and a brother Ralph. HAJDU - Irma 1913 - 2004 Irma Hajdu passed away February 9, 2004 at the Bethany Care Centre at the age of 90. She will be dearly missed by her son Mike Lestar (Judith) of Edmonton; her daughter Liz Walker of Calgary; four grandchildren, Rachael Williams (Murray Kashuba), Frank Walker (Denise), Michael Lestar and Steven Lestar (Kerry); and four great-grandchildren. Irma was born and raised in Hungary. She bravely moved to Canada with her two children in 1957 with the hopes and dreams of giving them a better life. She lived for her children and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her courage and love for her family. Private family Services will be held. HENZIG - Dieter 1937 - 2004 Mr. Dieter Henzig of Calgary passed away on February 7, 2004 at the age of 66 years. Dieter will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Penny; his daughter Karin (Grant) McNeil; son Dieter Henzig; four grandchildren, Brady, Jeremy, Chandelle and Darian. He will also be remembered by his sisters in Germany, Rosemarie (Peter) Brandt, and Margret (Robert) Gehrman. Dieter was born in Hamburg, Germany on February 19, 1937. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and made Calgary his home. Dieter worked for more than thirty years at SAIT in Hospitality Careers until his retirement in 2001. HOPWOOD - Margaret (Sheehan) 1916 - 2004 Margaret Hopwood died suddenly on Friday, February 6, 2004. She was born April 26, 1916 to Dr. and Mrs. Sheehan of Carlisle, England. She attended St. Hugh's College at Oxford University where she obtained her MA in English Language and Literature and went on to become a teacher. She married John Hopwood and they had one daughter, Rowan. They moved to Calgary in 1950. Margaret was a librarian at the W.R. Castell Central Library for many years and pursued her interest in music, theatre, travel and academics throughout her life. Margaret had many loving friends and she always took the time to regularly visit friends who were shut-ins. Margaret is survived by family in London, England - a sister Pat Moles and her family; and two grandchildren, Dr. Jean Adams and Ewan Adams. She is also survived by a niece Kate Parfitt of Vancouver, British Columbia. She was predeceased by her daughter Dr. Rowan Adams and her son-in-law Dr. Gordon Adams in two separate climbing accidents. At Margaret's request there will be no Funeral Service. BAILEY - Amy Louise (nee Ahrens) 1919 - 2004 Amy Louise Bailey of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on April 2, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Amy was born on June 27, 1919 in Rosetown, SK. She enjoyed nature tremendously, whether working in her garden or visiting the Circle 5 Ranch. Amy was a Past President of the Desk & Derrick Club as well as a member of the "Earl Grey Nine Holers". She will be missed by her many friends. Amy is survived by her three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean Longmire of Kindersley, Wilma (John) Richards of Ottawa, and Joyce Raymond of Calgary; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Don (Vivian) Ahrens and Lloyd Ahrens, all of Rosetown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. CAMPBELL - Irene Margretta (nee Faunch) 1920 - 2004 Irene Margretta Campbell (nee Faunch) of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Irene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all of her family. She leaves behind three daughters and two sons, Darlene Peterson (Ray) of Stettler, AB, Sheila Campbell, Pat McLean (Alex), Edward Campbell, and Ian Campbell (Myrna), all of Calgary. Also cherishing her memory will be her seven grandchildren, Debbie Parsons (Darren LaRose), Lyle Peterson (Tracy) and Troy Peterson (Jodi), Craig and Kevin McLean, Marie Hermanson (Dave), and Christine Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Laine and Koltyn Parsons, Kali LaRose, and Kayla Peterson; and sister-in-law Thelma Michell. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also mourn her passing. She is now reunited with her husband Allan; her parents, Edward and Margaretta Faunch; and her sister Evelyn. Irene will live on in the hearts of the people she touched. Her smile warmed our heart; her courage allowed her to live the life that she desired; her quiet wisdom guided our lives; and her humour made us all laugh. DAWSON - Kathryn Dorothy 1923 - 2004 Kay Dawson, beloved wife of C.H. (Harry) Dawson, passed away at home on April 2, 2004, at the age of 81. Kay was born in Strathmore, Alberta and raised in Pincher Creek and Strathmore. She and Harry were married in Calgary on June 23, 1941. Kay was actively involved in many organizations over the years, including Girl Guides and I.O.D.E., George Kerby Chapter. She lovingly tended her large flower garden until her passing. Besides her loving husband of sixty-two years, she is survived by a daughter Heather (Tom) Stillwell of Chestermere; a son Rob (Judy) Dawson of St. Albert; and two grandchildren, Kari Dawson (Glen Isted) of Windermere, B.C. and Trevor (Tara) Dawson of Sherwood Park, AB. Kay was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Elsie Williams, and her brother Elwyn (Bush) Williams. The family sincerely thanks Drs. P. Quail, C. Doll, and S.
