Predeceased by her parents, William and Alice Steeden; brother, LAC Stanley Steeden and son, Stanley Dunham. Survived by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd of Creelman, SK; daughter-in-law, Sharon Dunham of Swift Current, SK; daughter, Mae (Don) Eckert of Stoughton, SK; sons, Tom (Bernice) Dunham of Duchess, AB, Ed (Ava) Dunham of Creelman, SK and Brian (Karen) Dunham of North Weyburn, SK; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Winnifred Mills of Saskatoon, SK; brothers, Eric Steeden of Edmonton, AB and Les (Jean) Steeden of Saskatoon, SK. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrew's United Church, Creelman, SK with Rev. Brian Ast officiating. Interment in Golden Gates Cemetery, Creelman, SK. Memorial donations may be forwarded to Newhope Pioneer Lodge, Stoughton, SK. Arrangements entrusted to HASTINGSDIONNE FUNERAL HOME INC. Weyburn, SK (842-6662).

SLUCHENSKI, JENNIE - Our beloved mother and Baba, Jennie Sluchenski, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 15, 2005. Jennie was born April 14, 1915. Predeceased by her husband Nick and an infant daughter. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons: Bill, granddaughters Debbie (Ken) Scriver, Sharon; Lorne, grandsons Ryan and Bryce; John (Pam) grandchildren Aaron (Charlotte), Donna (Jeremy) Lazurca; as well as two dear great-grandchildren Alex Scriver and Adam Lazurca; Jennie is also survived by two sisters Vicki (Doug) Ellis and Ann Orton; as well as other dear friends and family. The family wishes to thank the compassionate nursing staff on 3-F (RGH) for their wonderful care of Baba. A Visitation for family and friends will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina SK. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto St., Regina, SK with Rev. Msgr. Luzney officiating. WALTZ, MARGARET

WALTZ - It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Waltz (nee Wengrowich) our dearest mother, grandmother and great grandmother (BaBa). Margaret was born October 15, 1912 and peacefully passed away with her family at her side, on October 16, 2005 at the age of 93. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her parents John and Pearl Wengrowich, brothers Mike (Lucy), Bill (Mary), Nick, John (Pearl), her sisters, Mary (Bill), Polly, Annie (Nick), Nellie, Dora (Walter). She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family Pat and Ron Walton, Ivan and Lorraine Waltz, Grant and Trina Miller, Trent and Justine Walton, Annalee and Richard Carlson, Erin Walton, Curtis and Becky Waltz, and her great grandchildren Carlin and Catherine Miller, Ryland and Haylee Carlson, Bennet Walton, two sisters-in-law Caroline Faber and Lucille Materi, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Margaret was a very devout, spiritual person, very devoted to prayer and to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and a member of the CWL. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and family occasions such as Christmas, Easter and birthdays. She loved to cook and bake and especially loved gardening. Her flowers always created wonder and awe. She loved bird watching and made sure her birds were well fed. Baba, we will deeply miss you. Prayer Vigil will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Fort Qu'Appelle by Fr. Rick Krofchek. Interment will follow in the Lipton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret can be made to the All Nations Healing Hospital, Box 300, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., S0G 1S0, or Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Box 518, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., S0G 1S0.

BROWN - Jean Brown, age 93 years, passed away in Weyburn on Friday, October 14, 2005. Predeceased by her husband Eddie in 1985, son-in-law Marvin Donald in 1993, sister-in-law Frances McCartney in 1999 and her sister Mildred Bet McCartney in 2001. Jean leaves to mourn a large immediate and extended family; her children: Willa Mae Donald, Weyburn, Iris (Donald) Neufeld, Regina, Donna (Gary) Beck, Lang, Bernie (Arlene) Brown, Milestone, Bill (Jan) Brown, Milestone; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and her 2 brothers: Hugh (Janet) McCartney, Kelowna, BC and Willis McCartney, Brooks, AB. Funeral Service will be held in Milestone United Church on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Johnston officiating. Interment in Milestone Cemetery. Flowers most gratefully declined. CARON (GIENI) - Lorraine. It is with great sadness that Lorraine's family announces her passing on October 15, 2005. Lorraine was born on January 3, 1945 in Moose Jaw, SK to Peter and Margaret Blazer. She is predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Victor Robert Gieni; her second partner, Barry Dirksen; brother-in-laws, Wilson Gieni, Lloyd Gieni, Bill Gieni, Leo Lavoie, Dale Nelson, Ken Iverson, Bob Hankins and sister-in-laws Victoria Stoner, Sylvia Gieni and Rose Nelson. Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband, JeanPierre; her sister Mary (Doug) Davis and their son Bruce; her children: Brenda (Brad) Senger and their children Brodie and Jerrod; Heather Gieni; Melissa (Garry Sears) Gieni and their children, Jillian, Devon and Kaitlyn, as well as numerous other brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She retired from Smurfit MBI in January, 2005 after 35 years of service. The friendships and laughter enjoyed at work were very precious to her. The arrival of grandchildren brought great joy to her life. She was infinitely patient with each of them and celebrated their uniqueness. Lorraine is grateful to the 12 Step Program, and in particular the Fellowship Group for more than 8 years of serenity. Lorraine loved the time she spent relaxing at the cottage with Jean-Pierre. She also doted on her two dogs Hope and Higgins. Lorraine was a warm, giving wife and mother. She taught others about strength, courage, compassion for the less fortunate and resiliency in one's life. She loved to laugh and cherished the people who were a part of her life. A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK, on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. A CELEBRATION of Lorraine's life will be held at Regina Funeral Home, on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Friar Dominic Tessier officiating. HUBENIG - Theodore Ted of Regina, SK, beloved husband of Clara, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on October 15, 2005 at the age of 75 with his family at his bedside. Ted leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Clara, son Glen (Debra), daughter Sheila (special friend Dave), 3 grandchildren; Michael (Tracey) Hubenig, Shauna (Aaron) Mesch, Shilo Hubenig (special friend Nathan), 4 great grandchildren, Desiree, Mitchell, Victoria, and Samantha; sister Alma Taylor of Cranbrook, BC; sister-in-law Helen Hubenig of Melville, SK, Agnes (Victor) Baer of Broadview, SK, Matilda (Jack) Huhtala of Saskatoon, SK, brotherin-laws Gordon (Theresa) Newman of Regina, SK, Gerald (Beatrice) Newman of Regina, SK, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ted was predeceased by his parents Michael and Elizabeth Hubenig, brothers: Ambrose, Wilhelm, Philip, Adam, and Wilfred; sister Eva; brother-in-laws Sam Senft, Peter Neumann, Anton Neumann, Albert Roth, Joe Bender and Buford Taylor; sister-in-laws Alma Hubenig, Sophie Roth, Eva Bender, and Julia Neumann. Ted enjoyed being with people. Put Dad in a room of strangers and within the hour he would have talked to them all. He was very proud of his family from sharing a birthday with his oldest grandson, Michael, to Shilo's baseball games, to there he is with his youngest great granddaughter, Samantha. Dad/ Grandpa was always ready to lend a hand to teach one of the kids how to do something. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. At Ted's request, a private family Memorial Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy friends wishing to do so may make donations to Palliative Care, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5, or a charity of their choice.
