DRAPER - On Thursday, December 15, 2005, James (Jim) Draper passed away at the age of 75 at home with family by his side. Jim was predeceased by his parents Herb and Ethel Draper, his wife Lois, 1 child at birth, a half brother Art Bartel and brotherin-law Edgar Renauld. Jim is survived by his seven children: Glenna (Allan) Otto of Saskatoon, Paul (Sharon) of Preeceville, Cecil (fiance Jacqueline) of Calgary, Philip (Theresa) of Parkman, Morris (Heather) of Parkman, Deanne (Scot) Jackson of Wawota, Marc of Regina, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by Jean Pugsley, his partner for the past 15 years. Jim is also survived by his sisters Ann Martel of Beausejour, MB., Mabel Stewart and Margaret Warsylewicz of Regina, sisters-in-law Jean Renauld, Neta Cudmore, Eileen (Lawrence) Ashdown, Myrna (Doug) Kurtz and brotherin-law Orlow Cudmore as well as many nieces and nephews. A service was held Dec. 19 at Carscadden's Funeral Chapel in Moosomin with Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens at Moosomin.

EDIGER, EMILINE

EDIGER, EMILINE - Emiline Ediger, born December 11, 1924, passed away in Nokomis on December 30, 2005, after a brief illness. Predeceased by her brother, Alfred, she is survived by her loving sisters, Adeline of Regina, and Anne of Saskatoon, also nieces and nephews Bryan, Lynne, Wayne, Mark, Terry, Debbie, Leonard, Shelley, Gail, and families. Emiline loyally served the Post office in Nokomis for 35 years, retiring in 1986. Emiline's love of travel took her to all corners of the earth. As well, she enjoyed her years associated with the Nokomis Baptist Church. At her request, no funeral service will be held. Rest in Peace, Amy.

HAMILTON, ROBERT

HAMILTON, ROBERT D. (BOB) - late of Fishing Lake, SK, died suddenly Friday, December 30, 2005 at age 66. We are sad to announce the death of Bob: husband, father, son, brother, grandpa and friend. Born and raised in Carnduff SK, Bob graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Engineering in 1961 and achieved a Master's of Engineering from the University of Regina in 1978. Bob enjoyed a 35-year career at SaskPower where he held many senior positions. After his retirement he held various consulting positions that took him to the Ukraine and Fort McMurray.He married Judy (nee Hutchison) of Foam Lake in 1965 and they settled in Regina where they raised their two children of whom he was extremely proud. Following retirement, Bob and Judy moved to Fishing Lake SK where Bob built their retirement home with the extraordinary detail and craftsmanship which were his trademark. The community of Chorney Beach put their trust in Bob this summer, electing him Mayor.Bob is predeceased by his father Stanley Hamilton. He is survived by his mother Mary Hamilton of Carnduff SK, his wife Judy, his children Laura (Eric) Hendrix of Greensboro NC and Brent Hamilton (Susan Cameron) of Regina, brothers Stewart (Bev) Hamilton of Dundurn SK, Hartley (Terri) Hamilton of Calgary, sister Sherylann (Ernie) Krueger of Midale SK, and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Grandpa will be especially missed by his cherished grandchildren, Benjamin and Claire Hamilton. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Foam Lake in the spring when Judy returns from Arizona. Bob was a quiet and unassuming man who excelled at everything he did. He was highly respected for his modesty, generosity and his uncanny ability to fix absolutely anything. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

HODGINS, W. GRAHAM

HODGINS - W. GRAHAM passed away peacefully at Silver Heights Care Home, Raymore on January 4, 2006 at the age of 85. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Ethel, two sons: Garfield (Margaret) and their daughters Heather and Amanda, Dennis (Jo Ann) and their children Stephanie, Ian and Lloyd. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2 PM from Raymore United Church. Rev. Ned Garstad officiating. KARCHEWSKI - On Tuesday, January 3, 2006 Rose Karchewski, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Tony in 1954; two sisters; five brothers; and two sons, Ted and Wes. Rose is survived by her three sons, Longene (Sally), Florian, and Val; twenty-four grandchildren; twentytwo great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Barb; sister, Helen Lewis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 3rd Floor and Sister Denise, Director of Pastoral Care, for the wonderful care given to their mother. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 4215 Regina Avenue with Rev. Ken Koep presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined. MACK, JOE

MACK - Joe (Joseph Roy) late of Montmartre, SK, passed away peacefully in Regina on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Lovingly remembered by Lil (Balkwill), his wife of 50 years; their children, Linda Mack and sons Patrick and Steven Walsh; Lori (Denis) Bachelu and children Suzanne and Brett; Tracy (Mark) Harding, and sons Bryce and Logan, all of Regina, and Randy Mack of Edmonton, AB.; sister Anne Metz, Holdfast; sister-inlaw Agatha Mack; brothers-in-law Willard Wahl, Wendel (Leona) Lockert; Lil's family, Reta (Glen) Burlingame, Lois Porter, Pete Balkwill, Ned Gerein; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Wendel and Maria (Heisler) Mack, siblings Leo (Evie); Barbara Wahl; Josephine Lockert; Adam; Kay (Roy) Obrigewitsch; brother-in-law John Metz; three brothers and a sister in infancy. Joe was born and grew up in Vibank, SK. and attended Notre Dame College where he played baseball and hockey. He received a privileged education as he chauffeured Pere Murray to various events. Summers were spent on elevator construction (including the one still standing at Vibank), farming, and surveying with SK. Dept. of Highways. Winter was all about hockey, playing for Moose Jaw Millers, Regina Caps, and North Battleford Beavers. He was player/coach in several towns in SK. and MB. before moving his family to their farm near Montmartre in 1963. He enjoyed scouting for Weyburn Red Wings, Regina Pats, and Central Scouting of the NHL. Joe's love of the farm, his passion for hockey and his beloved Notre Dame continued until his passing. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and technicians who helped Joe in the past two years of his illness. Special thanks for the loving care given Joe by the Cancer Lodge staff, the entire Palliative Care team in 3A Pasqua Hospital and Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, to all who phoned and visited, and to Joe's nephew, Rev. Frank Obrigewitsch S.J. for his spiritual care. We, his family, will sorely miss his presence in our lives, but will be sustained by lessons learned, memories of his humour, work bees, and fun times together. In accordance with Joe's wishes, there will be no funeral. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. GILMOUR, HELEN

GILMOUR - Mrs. Helen Gilmour, age 81 years, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Grace Hospice in Regina, SK, after a lengthy illness. Born north of Melville, SK on August 27, 1924, she attended schools north of Melville before moving to Regina. She worked at various restaurants and then at Regina Industries on Winnipeg Street, where she painted markings on anti-aircraft shells and later inspected them for Canada's Second World War munitions production effort. Helen lived on a farm between Disley and Pense before moving to Regina in 1957, where she worked at the Regina General Hospital. In 1958, she moved with her family to Mossbank. In 1972, she moved to Regina where she again worked at the Regina General Hospital, in the diet kitchen until retirement in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy in 1990; six brothers and seven sisters. Mrs. Gilmour is survived by two daughters Barbara (Mark) MacNaughton of Regina, SK and Patricia (Larry) Dennison of Thomson Lake, SK; son Robert of Edmonton, AB; brother Edward Busch of Edmonton, AB; four grandchildren Lori (Marcel) Porte of Yorkton, SK, Jason (Dana) Dennison of Saudi Arabia and Shane and Leah MacNaughton of Regina, SK; three great grandchildren Jaden, Jaret and Jenna Porte of Yorkton, SK as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. A FUNERAL SERVICE for family and friends will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6. HAMILTON - On Thursday, May 18, 2006, Robert D. Hamilton, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his parents; his brothers Tom and Dan, and his sister Ethel. Robert is survived by his son Barry and his daughter Laura; daughter Janet (Rick) Friedt and their children Stephen, Lisa (Keith) Boschman, Nathan (Chelsey); greatgrandchildren, Tayller and Benjamin; sisters June and Lucille; brother-in-law Sid and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was born on November 1, 1918 in Maple Creek. He grew up on a ranch near Wasa, British Columbia. Robert loved the Yukon where he worked for many years and met his wife Kathleen. Shortly after they married in 1952, they moved to Regina where he worked with his brother-in-law Sid Brander building power lines throughout the province. He later worked in construction on many large projects in Regina. Robert enjoyed his retirement years building furniture and spending time with his children and grandchildren. The family wishes to express special thanks to the nurses and staff at William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Robert. Thanks also to Dr. Clein, Dr. McMillan and Dr. De Witt. He will forever be loved and missed. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22nd at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. HJORTELAND, SIGURD

HJORTELAND - SIGURD BERG passed away on his farm near Macoun Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the age of 73 years. Survived by his wife, Elaine, Macoun; sons, Steven (Tania), their children, Kayden, Myah, Macoun; Erik (Melissa), their children, Chloe, Hannah, Estevan; daughter, Cheryl (Peter) Edwards, their children, Melissa, Michael, Maple Ridge, BC; brothers, Lars, Kare (Helga), Bjarne (Karina); sister, Valborg, 19 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews, all of Norway. Predeceased by his parents, Johannes and Borghild; brothers, Ingemund and Arne. Funeral Service was held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan with Pastor Donna Smalley officiating. Interment followed the luncheon at Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements were in care of the Orsted Funeral Home, Estevan.

IRWIN, CYNTHIA

IRWIN,CYNTHIA - 1953 2006 Cynthia Lynne Irwin lost her courageous battle to cancer when she passed away on Monday, May 10, 2002. She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, David and children Melissa (Anthony Jackson) of Regina, Crystal (Jeff) Tosczak of Weyburn, Landon (Lindsay) of Regina; one grandson Levi Tosczak; her mother Eloise Shaw; sisters Judy Burke, Cheryl-Anne Shaw (Bob Thompson); brothers Jim (Donna) Shaw, Hank (Mary) Shaw, and Scott (Myrna) Shaw; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Jim Shaw. Cynthia was born on July 5, 1952 in Gainsborough, SK where she lived until she graduated from Carnduff High School. She then moved to Minot, ND where she attended the Trinity School for Nursing. She married David in 1973. They moved to Rosetown that year where Cynthia worked at the Rosetown hospital. In 1981 they moved to Weyburn and Cynthia worked at the Hospital there until 2004. In 1996 Cynthia and David moved to Radville, and here she began working for homecare. She loved her job as a nurse and she treated her patients as she treated her family, with love and compassion. Cynthia loved spending time with friends and family and she had laughter that was contagious. She also loved spending time in the yard and garden. She was very busy with different committee meetings and work, but she always had time for her children and she loved the little time she had with her grandson Levi. She will be forever loved and always missed. As per her request and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cynthia may be made to the Knox United Church, Box 180, Gainsborough, SK, S0C 0X0. Arrangements were entrusted to the Redpath Funeral Home, Carnduff, SK (306) 482-3309.
