VIERGUTZ - Edwin. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother on February 12th, 2004 at the age of 87 years. He will be dearly missed by the family: brother Carl (Doris), Kelowna, sisters Merna (Herb) Wilson, Coquitlam, Connie (Curt) Angell, Swift Current as well as Brothers-in-law George Schmidt, Ogema, Ray Workman, B.C. and Sister-inlaw Helen Viergutz, Ontario and many nieces & nephwes. Predeceased by parents Clarles & Eva Viergutz, brothers Larry & Bill, sisters Lila Dahl, Rosella Workman, Phyllis Schmidt. Edwin was born on a farm in the Edgeworth district and farmed there until he retired. He then moved to Ogema where he enjoyed his involvement with the Ogema Museum. Cremation has taken place. By his request, a graveside service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Edwin may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. WALDEN - On February 14, 2004 CARL GEORGE WALDEN continued his journey without complaint, leaving us behind. Carl was predeceased by his father, Per George; his mother, Lilja and sister, Alma; left to take strength from his courage his wife, Vivian; daughters, Ricki (Brant) and Jodine (Trevor) and one sister, Gladys (George) Marshall. Carl was born October 22, 1935 on the family farm near Edfield, SK. He worked at the Royal Bank for 36 years. He had been retired for 12 years. Carl was very active in the community, serving on various committees and charities. He enjoyed Roughrider football games and was a season ticket holder for over 25 years. Carl"s first and foremost love was his family, relatives and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the staff and volunteers of Units 4D, Palliative Care Home Care, Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care Ward at the Pasqua Hospital. Their compassionate and caring ways meant the world to us. Also, heartfelt thanks to friends, neighbors and family for your thoughtfulness. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in Rosemont United Church, 5000 8th Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Howard Hanson, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McInytre St., Regina, SK S4T 2R3 or the Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1A5 in remembrance. Predeceased by her parents Carl and Henrietta (Hattie) Knoss, grandson Noah Brenner, brothers Herschel Knoss and Gerald Knoss, an infant sister, brother-inlaw Roland Jackson, Sylvia is survived by her husband Sankey Solverson of Assiniboia, daughter Sandra Berthelot (John) of Edmonton and their sons Jeffrey of Edmonton and Michael of Edmonton; daughter Elaine Brenner (Gary) of Coronach and their daughter Naomi Brenner of Calgary; brothers John (Millicent) Knoss of Rockglen, George (Rhoda) Knoss of Lady Smith, B.C., Stanley (Dorothy) Knoss of Rockglen; sisters Verna Jackson of Saskatoon, and Violet (Ron) Ettles of Kelowna, B.C., sister-in-law Elsie Knoss of Rockglen, many nieces, nephews and loving friends. THUL (HANLEY) - Chad passed away unexpectedly in Regina on Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the age of 23 years. Chad will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Darren and Sherry Hanley and Peter Thul; brother, Bert Thul; grandparents, Steve and Luann Beka; special cousin, Matt Beka as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents, Bert and Muriel Thul. Chad was a fair, loyal, trusting, caring, giving and loving son. He was always willing to help family and friends if it was in his power. Chad is at peace and will never by forgotten. TRAUB - On Thursday, April 8, 2004 Rose Traub passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 87 years. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne (Kathy), Marvin and Colin (Val); daughter, Karen (Jim) Good; brother, Howard Boulding; sister Edith Germscheid; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Alvin; brothers, George, Maxwell, Charles, William and Albert; sisters, Annie, Estella and Ruby. Rose was born in Duncan B.C. The family then moved to Jameson, SK, where Rose grew up. In 1944 she married Alvin Traub of McLean SK and together they farmed until 1967 when they retired to town. In 1993, Rose moved to Regina, where she resided until her passing. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at McLean Cemetery, McLean, SK, with Rev. BAGAN, MICHAEL - May 21, 1921-April 10, 2004. Born in Poland, Michael immigrated to Canada in 1930. He farmed at Erwood, SK., (near Hudson Bay) for many years. He served in the Canadian Army as a marksman for 4 years during WWII. Michael also worked for the Department of Agriculture for a few years and also at Kitimat for one winter. Predeceased by his parents, stepmother, first wife, 2 infant brothers and a great granddaughter, Michael is survived by his wife Mary of 46 years, son Larry; daughter Gladys (Lloyd Gerun); son Leslie (Dorthy), and grandchildren Celeste (Shjown Darwel), Michelle (Daren Roberts), Jayme and Jessica Bagan, as well as 6 great grandchildren. Service of Remembrance will be held at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Dr., on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Simpson officiating. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Canadian Diabetes. Association, Regina & District Branch, 4420 Albert St., Regina, SK., S4S 6B4, or to a charity of your choice.
