MANN - It is with deepest sadness and grief that Debra and family announce the passing of Thomas John Mann of Regina on Thursday, October 6, 2005. He is at peace with no more suffering. He leaves to mourn Debra, his beloved wife and best friend, and their two beloved cats, Pyramid and Egypt. He will be cherished and loved in her heart and theirs forever. He leaves, whom he loved deeply, with deep sadness and grief to mourn, Linda and Tom Boyle of Gimli, MB and their children Jenny (Kevin) and family, Erin, and Mandi (Rich) and family. He also leaves to mourn his mother, whom he cherished and loved, Rose Mann; his brothers Ralph and Ross and their families of Strathroy, ON. He also leaves to mourn his children Jennifer Smit and family of London, ON, Jason Mann and family of Sarnia, ON, Tinsa and family, and Jeremy of Edmonton, AB. Tom always left a lasting impression on all who met or knew him. He was a gentle man, a loving husband and companion. Tom's passion for car racing, especially NASCAR, brought out his rebel side and joy that he and Debra shared. He was a nature lover, especially gardening he loved his lilies. He had a kind and loving heart towards God's creatures and mankind. Debra would like to thank the staff of the Pasqua and General Hospital, medical personnel and Regina Police Service for assisting her during this trying time. Special thanks also to Dr. Sharman and Dr. McHattie for past medical assistance for Tom. A Funeral Service will take place in Tom's home town of Strathroy, Ontario where he will be laid to rest beside his father, Ted Mann. He would want all who read this to remember to live each day to the fullest. It is hard, but try, and that he did. A private memorial will be held by Debra and family at a later date. RIEGER - Rose passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the age of 90. Rose was predeceased by her husband John (1975), infant son Gerrard, daughter Jackie Piller (1989); son-in-law Bill Kaytar (1998). She will be deeply missed by son Erwin (Shirley) Rieger, daughters Doreen Kaytar, and Karen Kaytor; grandchildren: Darren (Mary) Rieger, Wanda (Harvey) Chrunik, Kim (Kim) Flegel, Kevin Rieger, Blair (Cathy) Kaytar, Sharlene Brown, Warren Piller; great-grandchildren: Bryce, Beth and Scott Rieger, Jonathan, Tasha and Jordan Chrunik, Brendan and Blake Flegel, Tyler Kaytar, Shalysa Brown, Tessa and Jackie Piller. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. BEGIN, FERDINAND

BEGIN - Ferdinand Begin passed away at Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Ferdinand was born Ulric Ferdinand on November 27, 1915. He grew up on the farm north of Alida and attended Arbor Vitae and Chapelle Schools. He enlisted in the Army during World War II and stationed overseas. After the war he farmed in Alida until retirement. No matter what Ferdinand did, he did it with passion. Whether it was cards or gardening, it was done with gusto. He travelled to many places Russia, Europe, Cuba and the Caribbean and knew what it meant to live life to its fullest. Ferdinand will be missed by all who knew him. We will miss his award winning smile after a joke or two. He is predeceased by his second wife, Martha, parents, Ulric and Albertine; brothers: Vincent, Alvin and Cyril, one sister, Irene; sisters-in-law: Leona and Eunice, son-in-law, Bob Bell and a nephew, Douglas. He leaves to mourn his children: David Mali, Africa, Derek (Rhonda) Cochrane, Irene (Rick) Wurster Sherwood Park, Beverly Bell San Diego, Robert (Roberta) Calgary, Amiee (Dale) Kowal Edmonton; his brothers: Clement London, ON, Francis Weyburn, one sister, Bernadette (John) Berjian Regina; twelve grandchildren: Mark, Crystal, Nick, Micheal, Dan, Jesse, Cary, Aaron, Mathew, Heather, Carter and Spencer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Our special thanks to the staff at Moose Jaw Union Hospital for your exceptional help and understanding. The Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady Fatima, Redvers on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Father Hengen will preside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redvers Health Centre. GULLICKSON - George Born October 17, 1924. ~ It is with sadness, mixed with gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the death of George Mathias Gullickson on October 28, 2005, after a brief struggle with cancer. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of fiftyone years, Lorna. George will also be fondly remembered by sons and daughters-in-law David and Susan, Blair and Jan, Harley and Donna; and grand-daughters Mandy (Nolan), Kirsten, Taryn and Kelsey. He was a loving brother and brother-in-law of Palma (Spalding SK), Alice (Regina SK), Gary and Audrey (Saskatoon SK), Ivan and Charlene (Uxbridge ON), Wendell and Janine (St. Catharines ON), Bernie and Ray (Medicine Hat AB), Darryl and Susanne (White Rock BC), and Sandra and Greg (Calgary AB). He was a special uncle to nieces and nephews, a friend to co-workers and colleagues, and a long-time best friend to Ken and Phyllis Weir (Regina SK). ~ George grew up in a family of nine in Naicam SK. A gifted student, free spirit and talented athlete all his life, he joined the Canadian Army in 1940 as a boy soldier. Soon after his return to civilian life in 1947, George began a long and satisfying career with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, retiring in 1988. He and Lorna made a good life, mainly in Regina. George was a kind and gentle soul whose generosity and warmth touched the lives of many. ~ Thanks to doctors, nurses and staff affiliated with the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit for their excellent care. Thanks as well to neighbours, friends and extended family members for their comforting words and deeds. ~ Friends and family are invited to a celebration of George's life at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK S4N 1B2, with Reverend Jim Balfour officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation in George's memory to the Broadway United Church Memorial Fund; the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5; and/or their charity of choice. JACOBS - Marie passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Marie was predeceased by her parents Johannes and Petronella Hendriks; two brothers Wim and Jan and three sisters Betty, Nell and Agnes all of Holland. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Peter; three sons and one daughter: Art Jacobs (Linda) of Regina Beach, SK, Ron Jacobs (Roseann), Edward Jacobs (Maureen) and Pat Donison (George) all of Regina, SK; grandchildren: Jason, Tricia, Vanessa, Dean, Amanda, Kathy, Sabrina, Kyle; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Tylan, Meagan, Ayden and Courtney; sister-in-law Margaret Geisenger; special niece Nelly Hendriks of Holland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie arrived in Canada on August 28, 1946 as a Dutch war bride. He is survived by his wife Margaret, children: Brent (fiance Yolanda), Bernice (fiance Richard), Bryce (Shauna) and Bradford, 10 grandchildren: Issac, Elijah, Mayci, Andrea, Dean, Aaron, Austin, Kaitlyn, Ryan & Dylan, sister Gayle (Elmer) Teskey, brother Ken (Jane) and his two favorite sister-in-laws: Joan and Carolyn and their respective families. A Viewing will be held on Friday, January 6th at 1 p.m. in the Riverhurst Lion's Hall followed by a family burial at 2 p.m in the Riverhurst Cemetery with a lunch to follow in the Lion's Hall.
