DENZIN, AGNES - October 15, 1908 January 1, 2006. Agnes Denzin passed quietly to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 1, 2006 at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by her dear husband Arnley Fred in November 1986. She is survived by her son Warren Denzin of Qualicum Beach, B.C., and daughters Denise Hayhoe of Woodbridge, ON., and Elle Denzin of Regina, Sask. She will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren: Todd and his wife Sharon, Cory Hills and her husband David, Jill Brandon and her husband Lorin, Mark Hayhoe and his wife Carylin, Greg Hayhoe and his wife Jenn, and Dean Hayhoe and his wife Rhonda, and ten very special great-grandchildren; Zachary, Logan, and Bianca Brandon, Mikhail and Linnea Hayhoe, Haley and Hunter Hayhoe, Madison, Sydney, and Cole Hayhoe. Nan will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews in Scotland and her many family and friends remaining in Saskatchewan. Friends will be received at the Woodbridge Chapel of Scott Funeral Home, 7776 Kipling Avenue (at Hwy 7) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, January, 7th, 2006 at the Speers Funeral Chapel (2136 College Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan) at 11:00 a.m. Will rest until the Lord returns in Tregarva Cemetery, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, please remember her through the Gideon Bible Society.

ECTOR, WILLIAM (BILL) RITCHIE - Bill passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Central Butte Regency Hospital. He lost his battle with cancer which he bore with great courage and dignity. Bill was born on January 12, 1943 at Elbow, SK. He received his education in Elbow and went onto graduate from the School of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. Bill enjoyed sports as both a participant and spectator. He especially enjoyed curling, hockey and golf. He liked being involved & held offices in community organizations and most recently retired from the Elbow Housing Authority after 25 years. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy, father, Archie, mother, Viola, sister-in-law, JoDee Ector, sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Joseph Albert, and father-in-law, John Kober. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Maureen, son, Todd, daughter, Sherri and son-in-law, Collin Tobert. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Irene (Harry) Daniluk, brothers, Gordon (Lucille) Ector, Don Ector, Jack (Marie) Ector, Ken (Joan) Ector, mother-in-law, Ada Kober, sister-in-law, Janice (Ellery) Lindgren, nieces, nephews, uncle, aunt and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Elbow, Sask. with Mavis Bristow (United Church) officiating. Interment will take place in the Elbow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Elbow United Church or the Central Butte Regency Hospital, Central Butte, Sask. Arrangements are in care of the Outlook Funeral Chapel, 867-8255.

HEISLER, KATHERINE - passed from this world into the loving hands of God on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Regina, SK at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; parents Jacob and Catherina Kuntz; brothers Lawrence, Tony, Joe, Jack, Barney, Daniel, George; sisters Carrie Reiss, Mary Thomas, Veronica Lockert, Dorothy Knoll. Katherine is survived by her daughter Darlene (Walter), sons Mervin (Sharon), Glenn (Marj), and Darcy (Lorelei); brothers John (Maggie), Tom (Eileen), and Michael-Dan (Nina); sisters Lucy Fetch, Betty (Albert) Fahlman, and Barbara Eberle; sisters-in-law Kate, Jenny, and Marge Kuntz; 11 grandchildren: Garth, Trina, Tara, Tanessa, Trista, Collin, Carmen, Deidre, Derek, Trevor, Brock; 9 great grandchildren: Melonie, Megan, Jadan, Tagan, Talisha, Tristan, Kiera, Ryan, and Robin; numerous nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Vibank, SK on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Brad Fahlman and Reverend Louis Abello, celebrants. Katherine will be placed to rest along side her beloved husband at St. Paul's Cemetery.

IRWIN, FREDA - (nee Kostiuk) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 3, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by her husband, Carmen; mother, Nettie; father, Mike; brother, Bill. Freda leaves to mourn her loving children, Carol Moore (Lou), Jim (Bev) Irwin, Judy (Don) Frankiewitz all of Regina, SK; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Stann of Markinch, SK, Jean Misskey, Eva Syhlonyk, Laura Langmaier and Gloria (Bill) Krasiun all of Regina, SK; brothers, Nick Kostiuk and Leon (Hannah) Kostiuk both of Southey, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the nurses on Ward 4A and Dr. Clein and the nurses on the Palliative Care Unit. A private family service was held at St. Paul's Columbarium. BOURGEOIS, YVONNE - Peacefully at home in Oakville, Ontario on the 16 May 2006, in her 85th year. Will be sadly missed by her brother Louis Bourgeois of Oakville, by her niece Margot Bourgeois and husband Greg Morgan of Ottawa, and by dear friends, Lana Maixner, Hamilton and Elspeth Adams, Oakville. Yvonne was a dedicated public servant and after graduating from Sion Convent in Moose Jaw, worked for the Saskatchewan Government in Moose Jaw and Regina for over 30 years. On retiring, she moved to Oakville to be near her family. Private funeral service.

BRINDLE, GLADYS

BRINDLE - Gladys Margaret Brindle (nee Blackmore) passed away on May 15, 2006. Gladys was born on July 18, 1928 in Maryfield and grew up on a farm in the Moosomin area. She married the late Jim Brindle in 1952 and they settled in Regina. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She and Jim were active with Lakeside Lions Club and members of Lakeview United Church. She volunteered for many years and, after her children grew up, worked at Sears. Her children, grandchildren and all who knew her, will remember her unselfish, kind and caring manner. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her children Brenda (Edmonton) and David (Vancouver), son-in-law Ken Bodden; beloved grandchildren Sam and Kate Bodden; siblings Gordon Blackmore (Calgary), Fred (Beth) Blackmore (Red Deer), Mary Lund (Kelvington) and Ethel Wiebe (Regina); nieces and nephews; and relatives and friends. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the caring people at Helping Hands Personal Care Home. A Memorial Service will be held (TODAY) Friday, May 19th at 2:00 pm at Lakeview United Church, 3200 McCallum Ave, Regina with Rev. Everett Hollis officiating. Denis is predeceased by his parents, Viateur and Rose Eva, and two brothers. HIGGINS - On Wednesday, May 17, 2006 Douglas (Doug) Harold Higgins, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 85 years, loving husband of Elizabeth (Lil) Higgins. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Lou Higgins; brothers, George of Medicine Hat, Donald of Lethbridge; and sister, Mary Grosch of Vancouver. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Lil; and brother, Jack Higgins of Victoria. Also survived by his wife's family in Ireland, England, Australia and Canada. Doug was in the RCAF stationed in England. This is where he met Lil, the love of his life. Doug was known for his sense of humour, his sportsmanship, and the love of his family. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined.
