MOHL -- Mr. Rollie Mohl passed away suddenly in Hudson Bay on Saturday, February 2, 2002. He was born on July 19, 1940 at Regina, Saskatchewan, the only son of Helmut and Isobel Mohl who resided in Edenwold, Saskatchewan where he was raised, received his education and worked on the family farm. In 1957 he moved to Regina to become a tradesman in the electrical field. On February 5, 1959 Rollie and Sharon Goskie were united in marriage, they resided in Regina and were blessed with four children. In 1972 they purchased the Broadview Hotel. Then in 1980 he purchased the Treeline Motel in Hudson Bay, SK. Due to the pulp mills closing down in Hudson Bay, he sold the Treeline Motel and bought a Hotel in Whitewood, SK which he operated until 1999. Upon selling that hotel he moved back to his acreage just north of Hudson Bay and lived there until his untimely death. Rollie was predeceased by his father Helmut in September of 1985 and two sons-in-law, Jimmy Brown in 1981 (Leslie) and Rick Parenteau in 1999 (Loretta). He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his mother Isobel of Yorkton, his four children, Leslie (Richard) Beck of Flin Flon MB, Laurel Mohl of Weyburn, Loretta Mohl of Prince Albert and Terry Mohl (Terrilee) of Broadview. Also Rollie's sister Carol Krochak (Nick) of Yorkton, and his former wife, Sharon of Broadview and nine grandchildren. A Service of Comfort will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Center, Highway #10 east, Yorkton. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 2:00 pm. from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Center with Rev. Daphne Bender officiating. The eulogy will be offered by Richard Beck. A reception will follow. The inurnment will take place at a later date in the Edenwold cemetery. Donations to the Saskatchewan Lung Association would be appreciated. Bailey's Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.

FERRIS -- Marjorie Joan Ferris, born September 27, 1940, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2002 at the age of 61 years. Late of Regina, Saskatchewan. Funeral Service, Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. Radville United Church in Radville, Saskatchewan, Shelby Kinrade LLP. Interment at Laurier Cemetery in Radville, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her father M.S. Ferris in 1977. Joan is survived by her mother, Violet Ferris of Radville; sisters: Marilyn Beitel of Calgary and Ria (Joe) Felber of Regina; brothers: Dennis (Gloria) Ferris and Dan Ferris, both of Radville; nieces and nephews: Debbie (Darrell) Bohn and Brandon of Radville; Brian (Bonnie) Felber, Bradley and Kyle of Regina, Janet (Greg) Kowchuck, Jonathan and Michael of Calgary, Kari Ferris of Los Angeles, Andrew Arksey of Calgary and Rob Ferris of Calgary; aunts: Marjorie Lavender of Regina, Fahima Mossa of Leduc and Betty Ferris of Regina; one uncle, Alex (Vi) Ferris of Regina; special cousins, Dr. Stewart and Cheryl-Anne McMillan of Regina; Joan will also be missed by numerous other cousins and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to the Radville EMS, Box 773, Radville, SK, S0C 2G0. In 1959 Joan started her career at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a Comptometer Operator. Joan then became the supervisor of Data Control and Security in 1988 and held that position until her retirement. Joan enjoyed gardening, football, crafts, traveling, but most of all the times she spent with family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Chapels Ltd. Weyburn, SK (842-5432).

GALE -- Florence May Gale (nee Ryan), born in Regina, Saskatchewan was called to the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 12th, 2002 shortly before her 91st birthday. She is now in heaven with the Ryan clan: Mom & Dad, brothers Jim, Don, Ken, Pat, Hugh and sister Mitch. She is survived by her baby sister Ruth Porrelli of Westbank, B.C.; nieces, nephews and her precious pet yorkie "Sputnik". Special thanks to Dr. J. Gorman for her care and support to both Florence and Ruth. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 15th in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 121 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, B.C. Mrs. Peagam is survived by her two sons, Gord (Linda) Peagam and Ken(Linda) Peagam, both of Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask.; five grandchildren, Andrea (Mark) Norgaard, Fort Qu'Appelle and their children, Jessi, Hannah and Ty; Donna Peagam (Mike Martin), Saskatoon, Sask.; and their daughter, Izabella, Tammy (Steven) Bremner, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and their children, Jamie, Leah and Christopher; Kim (Les) Chambers, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and their children, Courtney and Alexa and Pamela Peagam (Dave Nunn), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; two sisters-in-law, Clara Osler, Fort Qu'Appelle and Annie Smith, Grenfell, Sask.; one brother-in-law, Fred Peagam, Prince Rupert, B.C.; also by her nieces and nephews. ROSS, Gerald Ivan,

ROSS -- Gerald Ivan Ross passed away April 12, 2002, in Mexico City, Mexico, at the age of 71. He was born April 21, 1930, in Estevan and attended Forest Glen School, Central School and the Estevan Collegiate Institute. He owned and operated Gerald Ross Trenching for 23 years. In 1974 he purchased Jenish Studio which later became Ross Studio. Gerald also had a long career in municipal politics serving as mayor and councilor in the City of Estevan, director of SUMA and on the FCM board. He was particularly proud of his participation in the Alameda and Rafferty Dam Project by serving on the Souris Basin Authority. An active member of Lions for many years, he served as President of the Estevan Lions, District Governor of 5CE and held many other positions. Through Lions he became active in CNIB and was its regional contact person. He was also a member of the Estevan Elks and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, and a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Jessie Ross, his brother Harvey and his sisters Blanche Tannas (Calgary) and Mildred Paul (Nelson). He is survived by his loving wife Susie, his son Kevin (Laurie), his daughters, Shelleen Vandermey (Craven) and Laurie Ross (Regina), his grandchildren, Ryan Germin, Brennan Ross, Kailin Vandermey, David Germin, Channing and Danelle Ross. Also surviving are his sister Lois Chantler (Kelowna), his sisters-in-law Nora Ross, Elaine Yeomans (John) and Carol Southam (Neil) of Regina; also numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Institute of the Blind (CNIB) or St. Paul's United Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19 from St. Paul's United Church, Estevan with the Rev. M. Barnabas and the Rev. Brenda Kersell officiating.
