KRYZANOWSKI -- Phyllis Elizabeth died peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2002. She was born on May 20, 1911 within a month of her family arriving in Canada from Poland and settling in the Fosston area in Saskatchewan. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Nick, her parents, Karol and Aniela Lipka, four brothers, two sisters and granddaughter, Talia Martin. Surviving are her children, Joseph, Felix (Jane), Mitchell (Sharon), Theresa (Don) Martin and Cathi (Don) Cross, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Johanna Zylak and numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Holy Cross Church, 315 Douglas Ave. E., Regina, SK at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Friends may pay their respects at the church from 5:00 p.m., Wednesday. Interement will take place at the Wadena Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Cross Parish Christmas Hamper Fund. LANAWAY -- On Monday, November 18, 2002, Jim Lanaway, Abernethy, Sask. passed away at the age of 61 years. Thefuneral service will be held in the Knox United Church, Abernethy, Sask., on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Mee officiating. Interment in the Abernethy Cemetery. Predeceased by his father Leslie in 1990 and his mother Averil in 1962, Jim is survived by his wife Joanne; his children: Sherry Ferguson, Brandon, Man. and her family Tyler Ferguson and Stacy Lanaway (Daryl Kentel) and their son Tanner; Carol Lanaway (Dave Radmacher), Edenwold, Sask. and daughter Danni; Dawna Pickering (Daryl), Sylvan Lake, Alta., and their sons Anthony and Aaron; Nelson Lanaway (Tracy), Regina, Sask.; Karen Mol (Rob), Coquitlam, B.C. and their sons Jordon and Mathew; Brent Copland (Melissa), Pincher Creek, Alta., and their family Kori Marie, Natasha and Chance; and Carmen Wilson (Neil), Calgary, Alta.; his brothers George Lanaway (Patti), Winnipeg, Man. and Roy Lanaway, Vancouver, B.C. Jim enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing trips with his boys. He loved and was proud of his dogs. Jim also loved music and was a beautiful singer. He sang with the Abernethy Choir, Lemberg Community Choir and solo singing. Jim enjoyed community work. He was a member of the Abernethy Co-op Board for fourteen years, the board member rep at Saskatoon conference for the last ten years and was on the Sherwood Co-op resolution committee at Saskatoon for the last four years. He was also a councillor and deputy Reeve for RM 186 for the last nine years. Jim was a chairperson for the East Central Transportation committee and RM rep for APAS. He was also a member of the Abernethy United Church and served on various church committees. If friends so desire contributions to the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre, Box 340, Balcarres, Sask., S0G 0C0 or to a charity of one's choice may be made as tokens of remembrance.

LIPINSKI -- Mary, late of the Cupar and District Nursing Home, Cupar SK, passed away Saturday, No vember 16, 2002 at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Josephine Newman; four brothers; five sisters and one son-in-law George Bessey. Mary is survived by her sons Edward (Eleanor) and Joseph (Helen) both of Cupar, SK; daughters Joan Bessey of Saskatoon, Millie (Gordon) Mitchell and Doris (Leo) Thurmeier of Regina; twenty-eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Cupar, SK with Rev. Robert MacKenzie, celebrant. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens in Regina. A Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2002 from 7:00 P.M. - 8:30 P.M. in Lee Funeral Home, 105 Stanley St., Cupar, SK. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 1:30 P.M. in Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Alex Taylor officiating. OOCHOO -- In loving memory of James Oochoo who left us on December 20, 2002 at the age of 58 years old. Born March 9, 1944 of the Muskowekwan First Nation, he was predeceased by his mother and father Mr. & Mrs. John Oochoo. Also two brothers Ivan & Henry and one sister Mary. James is survived by one brother Joseph and four sisters: Alice & Evy Oochoo, Rose Mae (Noel) Kahnapace & Francis (Gabe) Crowe Buffalo. Also numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A wake will be held in the Muskowekwan First Nation Band Hall on Monday, December 23, 2002. The funeral service will be held in the band hall on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. with bad elders officiating. Interment in the Muskowekwan Cemetery.

PETSCHULAT -- Sunday, December 22, 2002, Louise Ellen Petschulat, age 63 years, late of Regina, Sask. Predeceased by her husband Bruno in 1999, her parents Luther and Mary Lee and her step father, Gaston Eichel, Louise is survived by her sister, Marjorie (Rick) Seidler, brother, Milton (Marilyn) Lee, three children, Laura Petschulat, Heather (Darrell) Hanoski, and Terry Petschulat, all of Regina, three grandchildren, Quinn, Dionn and Erinn Hanoski, three aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Louise enjoyed a teaching career and was a school principal with the Regina Public School Board. She coached teams, organized Outdoor Schools, served on committees and professional organizations. She was active in the community with Girl Guides, Heart Fund Canvassing and Delta Kappa Gamma. In past years she was involved with Engineers Wives, Sasktel Phonettes and Lakeview Community Assoc. After retirement she became a Certified SK. Genealogist and as such she enjoyed teaching Beginners Classes, published four Family History Books and was the first Dean of the College of Certified SK. Genealogists. Her many loves involved family activities, gardening, curling, reading and writing. She was an avid scrapbooker from birth and recorded the events of her life and of her family as well as keeping track of her former students. She truly believed that she had been blessed with a rich and rewarding life. The family wishes to thank Dr. Whittick, Dr. Chalchal, Dr. Clein and all the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. A celebration of Louise's life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wascana Family and Community Centre, 2333 Cornwall St. Regina. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, S4T 1A5. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services.

STACH, KURT -- With great sadness and sorrow we announce that our beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Kurt Siegmund Stach, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2002 at home at the age of 59 years. Kurt was born in Germany in 1943 to Berthold and Anna Stach. The family immigrated to Viewfield, SK in 1951. Kurt later moved to Regina in 1981 to start a partnership in a school bus company and continued his business until 1999 when he retired to Wee Too Beach, SK. He was predeceased by his parents; nephew Mark Stach; and brother-in-law Keith Korney. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Arlene; daughter Alana; son Curtis; sisters: Betty (Dale) Knibbs, and Ursula (Hank) Hennig; brother Siegmund (Giesela) Stach; parents-in-law: Steve and Dorothy Eberts; brothers-in-law: Richard (Glynnis) Eberts and Robert Eberts; sisters-in-law: Eileen Eberts, Louise (Daryle) Ramnes and Margaret (Lavern) Chypiska; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Kurt loved his family deeply and he will be greatly missed by all. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kurt's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
