HELLER - With deepest regrets we announce the passing of Harvey Heller on June 14, 2006. Born in Winnipeg in 1934 Harvey was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studios when he met his life partner Muriel. Harvey and Muriel shared a passion for music, dance, art, animals and family life for over 53 years. Harvey and Muriel were a glamorous couple with hearts of gold. A hard worker Harvey lived in Toronto and then spent a number of years working with his brother-in-law in Montana. Harvey and Muriel moved to Regina in 1991 where they continued to enjoy their passion for music and dance. For the past number of years Harvey experienced declining health and was cared for by his devoted wife until she passed in 2004. Harvey was predeceased by his loving wife and his siblings and is survived by his nephews and nieces. His continued care and a great debt of gratitude is owed to Bill Holmes of Regina and his long time friend Don Apel of Toronto. Sincere thanks also to Rosalind Veitch and Lyn Goldman and the staff of the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Beth Jacob Funeral Home 810 Broad Street. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Regina Humane Society.

KESSLER, MICHAEL

MICHAEL JOHN KESSLER - Mike passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 after a long, courageous battle with Cancer with his wife Camelia ( "Cammy ") by his side. Mike was born on May 13, 1964 in Wawota SK. When he was 16 he moved to Regina to cook at the Regina Bus Depot. He met his Best Friend and Wife Cammy 18 years ago; together they had a beautiful daughter Rena Dawn Kessler. Mike leaves to mourn, his wife Cammy Kessler, his daughter Rena Kessler of Saskatoon SK, his daughter Jody Miller of Regina SK, his granddaughter Taylor Mae Vancha of Regina, his daughter Mandy Gaudet of Redverse SK, his mother Mary Kessler of Brandon MB, his father Harry Kessler of Wapella SK, his sister Kim and husband Jeff Clarke of Regina SK, his nephew Parker Clarke of Regina SK and his brother Garry Kessler of Regina SK. Mike was predeceased by his grandmother Edna Westphal and his Uncle Joe and Auntie Bonnie Westphal. Mike's faith was strong and in our eyes he won the battle. A very special thank you to the nurses and volunteers at the Palliative Care Unit on the 5th Floor of St. Paul's Hospital. Your kindness and caring were greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Mary Kessler and Rhonda LeCorre. A very special thanks to Brad and Anna Ranford, Steve and Bonnie Frank, Collin Frank, Phil James and Garry Barr for their love and support through Mike's illness and for taking Mike on his final ride. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society ( 438 2nd Avenue S, Saskatoon SK S7K 2C3).

LAW JOANNE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Law. Born on July 27th, 1929 in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 12th, 2006, in Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by her son, Jay in 1979 and her husband, Bill in 1986. She is survived by her children, Bill Jr. (Marie) of Calgary, Michael of Victoria, Leslie of Victoria and Brad of Sicamous; grandson, Greg of Calgary; sister, Patricia of Ladysmith as well as her many cherished family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Monday, June 19th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, B.C. ZALE (ZALESKY), DON - It is with sadness that the family of Don Zale announces his passing on September 4, 2006 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Born in Regina on November 13, 1954, Don will be remembered for how he excelled in whatever he set his mind to, from artistry to modeling and acting. Don will be sadly missed by his partner Max Herren, mother Millie Zalesky, brother Paul and his wife Devina and nephews Stefan and Mikhail Zalesky. Pre-deceased by his father Steffan Zalesky. Don will also be missed by many aunts, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Metropolitan Community Church, 115 Simpson Ave, at 11am preceded by an hour of visitation starting at 10am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, 936 The East Mall, Toronto, ON, M9B 6J9.

BLAIR - It is with great sadness that on September 2nd, two days before her 98th birthday, surrounded by her family, Kathleen Blair Nanie passed away. Predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Regina Eichel; husband George William Blair; one sister; and six brothers. Survived by her daughter Jean Booty; granddaughters Colleen Orell (Butch), Kathy Booty, Kerry Booty, son-in-law Vern Booty; great-grandchildren Shannon Orell, Shaun Orell, Shayne Sebastian, Shaylee Booty-Sebastian and great-great-granddaughter Elizah Orell-McColl. She is also survived by her sister Chris Houliston; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Nanie's life will be held on Friday, September 8th, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. Ken Powers officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Qu'Appelle House, 1425 College Avenue, Regina S4P 1B4.

POSEHN, ELEANOR September 3, 1933 September 4, 2006 - Eleanor passed away peacefully at the William Booth Grace Hospice with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; parents Rudy and Elizabeth Silzer; brother Dennis Silzer; fatherand mother-in-law Henry and Molly Posehn and brother-in-law Wilfred Posehn. Eleanor is lovingly remembered by her children Lyle (Debra) Posehn, Randy (Gayle) Posehn and Shelley (Ron) Chibi; grandchildren Kevin (Karma) and Kyle Posehn, Christopher and Jennifer Posehn, and Andrew, Matthew and Rebecca Chibi; brothers-in-law Ernie (Gertie) Posehn and Arnold (Caroline) Posehn; sister-in-law Marina Silzer as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eleanor was born in Markinch, SK. After moving to Regina, she worked for T. Eaton Co. and married Albert in 1951. Eleanor was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and homemaker. She was dedicated to her immediate and "extended " family, babysitting for many children to whom she became known as "Aunty. " Later, Eleanor babysat her grandchildren to whom she was totally devoted. She faithfully followed their extra curricular activities becoming their biggest supporter and fan. A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Dennis Fingas officiating. Eleanor will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Albert, at Regina Memorial Gardens. Donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to the William Booth Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of Regina General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Grace Hospice for their compassionate care. ELLIOTT - Glen Gordon Elliott, beloved husband of Elaine Elliott, passed away peacefully at Bow View Manor Nursing Home on Thursday Aug. 31/06 at the age of 78 years. Glen, the youngest son of Rose & Arthur Elliott was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Rockglen, SK. He retired from the Regina Fire Dept. after 25 years of dedicated service & resided in Calgary for the last 8 years. Besides his wife Elaine, (nee Crozier) of 57 yrs., he is also survived by his brother Calvin (Peggy) of Kanata Valley, SK., his daughter Glenna Adams (husband Mike) of S. Windham, CT.; Pati Elliott (husband Alan Vinet) of Calgary and son Garnet Elliott of Kamloops, BC; grandchildren, Scott Seeley (wife Salma) of Hanover, NH; Elliott James (wife Mikala) and great granddaughter Rowyn of Calgary; Jesse Elliott of Honolulu; HI & Meagan Elliott of LA, CA; Jonathon Vinet of Calgary, AB; Kristie Vinet of Toronto, ON; Trina Vinet of Edmonton, AB and numerous extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Rose Elliott, brother Delbert Elliott & sisters Edna Griffin & Lucy Davies. A small family gathering will take place in Calgary. In Lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society to their research program. GALENZOSKI, LOYOLA, FCA June 8, 1955 - September 3, 2006 Loyola faced her recent challenge with dignity and a positive attitude before succumbing to cancer. She is loved, remembered, and survived by her brothers Herb (Linda), Bentley (Shelley), her sisters Myrna (Ross), Myra (Mike); sister-in-law Jackie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Agnes (nee Kriekle), her brother Arnold Galenzoski and brother-in-law Greg Manz. Loyola grew up in Southey, but lived and pursued her professional life in Regina. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and received her CA designation in 1982, articling with Deloitte in Saskatoon. Loyola maintained an eight-year partnership in the firm of Holtby Galenzoski which merged with Meyers Norris Penny in 1996, where she remained a partner until 1999. She then became Director of Finance and Administration with Minds Eye Entertainment until 2004, following which she joined Virtus Group in Regina. Loyola chaired the Practice Appraisal Committee and also served on the Discipline Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan. She was involved with the Estate Planning Council of Regina, serving as Secretary, Vice-President and President. Her volunteer community service included a term as Vice-President, Programming, for the Regina Women's Network and an 11-year involvement as Treasurer of the Board for the Regina Work Preparation Centre. Flowers most gratefully declined, however friends so wishing may make donations to Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A3 or William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina S4R 8P6. Special thanks to family and friends for their kindness and caring of Loyola during her illness and to Drs. Casey, Clein and McMillan and the staff of Palliative Care and Grace Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held at the Turvey Centre, Main Hall, Regina, Highway 6 and Armour Road on Friday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. No crying, no sad tears for me ... I only want you to celebrate my life with laughter.

GEISTHARDT, JENNIE - On September 4th, 2006 in the afternoon, Jennie Geisthardt passed away suddenly. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 51 years, Elmer Geisthardt. Jennie was born April 18th, 1931 in the Truax District. Jennie is predeceased by her parents Emil and Adriana; one sister Georgina; brothers-in-law Fred Tkachuk, Tony Kawka and Cliff Denton. Jennie is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Pauline Kawka of Regina, William and Irene Paicu of the Avonlea District, Marie and Tom Chapman of Delta, BC, George and Alma of St. Albert, AB and Emily Denton of Sherwood Park, AB; brothers-in-law, Alfred and Darlene Geisthardt of Regina, Ron Geisthardt of Delta, BC, Max and Eleanor Geisthardt of Crofton, BC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation. Interment to take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
