DESJARLAIS -- On Saturday, April 13, 2002, Mr. Leonard James Desjarlais passed away in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 57 years. Predeceased by his mother Delma, father Albert, sister Leona and infant son Paul. Leonard is survived by his wife and best friend, Irene; three sons, Terry (Kim), Tyler and Trevor; step-daughter, Denise (Darren) Nickel-Kainz; sister, Velda Heidle and brothers Leo and Danny, as well as grandchildren, Meagan, Jordan, Brianna, Shayla, and Sydney His family,will be holding a Memorial Service, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Boulevard North, Regina, Saskatchewan. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so wish, contributions to the Regina General Hospital Cardiac Care Unit would be gratefully accepted. DESJARLAIS -- In loving Memory of Rose Desjarlais born December 18, 1916, passed away in Shalom Nursing Home, Cupar SK, on Friday, April 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband Philip of 66 years, her sons James (Rose), Reg (Sharon), David, and Alvin and one daughter Irene (Bill) also by thirty-two grandchildren, seventy-nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, also a younger brother Ambrose (Ann) and sister Therese and numerous other relatives. Predeceased by her parents J.B. and Nympha Kaisowatum also sons Lloyd, Walter, and William and daughter Donna as well as three sons and a daughter in infancy. Rose has had many life accomplishments, including work at Piapot Day School from 1959 - 1969. Rose was one of the first female chiefs in Canada from 1969 - 1973 when she became the administrator until 1984 when she retired. Rose still maintained a strong involvement in the community as chairman of the school for eleven years, a trustee of TLE and specific land claims, and on the wellness committee. She has had numerous hobbies and interests. Rose resided at Shalom Nursing Home in Cupar, SK from March 29, 2000 until her passing. Wake to be held on Monday, April 15 at 5:00 P.M. at Piapot Band Hall, Piapot First Nation. Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 16 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held at the Desjarlais family cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to PARAGON FUNERAL SERVICES (359-7776)

ENICK, James,

ENICK -- James Enick was born in Regina on June 26, 1917 and passed away April 14, 2002 in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina. Predeceased by his parents, William and Julia, three sisters; Mary, Dolly and Lucy, and four brothers; Billy, Jack, Harry and Milt. Audrey, his wife of 52 years, passed away on April 27, 1992. Jim is survived by his daughter Laurie Dewhurst, son-in-law Lynn and grandchildren, Jim, Leah and Tracy. He is also survived by nephews Gerald and Bayne and nieces Mildred and Donna. Jim was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. At age 15, Jim worked for Neil Motors as a mechanic and foreman. In 1942 he joined the R.C.A.F. as an aero-engine mechanic. From 1953 - 1962, Jim and his brother Milt owned and operated "Enick Sales and Service" car dealership. In later years Jim worked for many other dealerships, before retiring in 1979. For the past 5 years, he has worked with his daughter Laurie in the book selling business. Funeral service will be held in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave. on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeeva Sam officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memoriam, to Regina Palliative Care Unit, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK, S4T 1A5. Email condolences may be sent to the family at reception@speersfunalchapel.com. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services.

ERIKSEN, Arnold Herman,

ERIKSEN -- Arnold Herman, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., born August 7, 1921, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the age of 80 years. The funeral service will be held in the Tubman Funeral Home, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Officiant: Rev. Elizabeth Bryce. Cremation with interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Arnold was born in the Aneroid District and later moved to Regina before moving to Fort Qu'Appelle. In 1984 Arnold retired from the Parks and Renewable Resources after 22 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 1972, his parents, Michael and Fannie and one sister, Margit, and one brother, Sven. Arnold is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Kenyon, his two sons, Dave (Jeanne), Emerald Park, Sask., and Bruce (Kitty), Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A., and his three granddaughters, Terri, Jesse and Kelly. Flowers most gratefully declined. If friends so desire contributions to Echo Lodge, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., S0G 1S0 or to a charity of choice may be tokens of remembrance.

FERRIS -- Marjorie Joan Ferris, born September 27, 1940, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2002 at the age of 61 years. Late of Regina, Saskatchewan. Funeral Service, Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. Radville United Church in Radville, Saskatchewan, Shelby Kinrade LLP. Interment at Laurier Cemetery in Radville, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her father M.S. Ferris in 1977. Joan is survived by her mother, Violet Ferris of Radville; sisters: Marilyn Beitel of Calgary and Ria (Joe) Felber of Regina; brothers: Dennis (Gloria) Ferris and Dan Ferris, both of Radville; nieces and nephews: Debbie (Darrell) Bohn and Brandon of Radville; Brian (Bonnie) Felber, Bradley and Kyle of Regina, Janet (Greg) Kowchuck, Jonathan and Michael of Calgary, Kari Ferris of Los Angeles, Andrew Arksey of Calgary and Rob Ferris of Calgary; aunts: Marjorie Lavender of Regina, Fahima Mossa of Leduc and Betty Ferris of Regina; one uncle, Alex (Vi) Ferris of Regina; special cousins, Dr. Stewart and Cheryl-Anne McMillan of Regina; Joan will also be missed by numerous other cousins and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to the Radville EMS, Box 773, Radville, SK, S0C 2G0. In 1959 Joan started her career at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a Comptometer Operator. Joan then became the supervisor of Data Control and Security in 1988 and held that position until her retirement. Joan enjoyed gardening, football, crafts, traveling, but most of all the times she spent with family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Chapels Ltd. Weyburn, SK (842-5432).

GALE -- Florence May Gale (nee Ryan), born in Regina, Saskatchewan was called to the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 12th, 2002 shortly before her 91st birthday. She is now in heaven with the Ryan clan: Mom & Dad, brothers Jim, Don, Ken, Pat, Hugh and sister Mitch. She is survived by her baby sister Ruth Porrelli of Westbank, B.C.; nieces, nephews and her precious pet yorkie "Sputnik". Special thanks to Dr. J. Gorman for her care and support to both Florence and Ruth. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 15th in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 121 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, B.C.
