Mainprize, Dr. Graham William,

MAINPRIZE - Dr. Graham William Mainprize passed away at Sherbrooke Community Centre on Monday, August 16, 2004, at the age of 82 years. He was born on May 13, 1922 at Midale, Sask. During the Second World War, he served in Bomber Command as a navigator in the Pathfinder Squadron. In 1940, he married Ruby Egland and they had three children, Gary, Lee and Laura. He received his Medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1953, and practiced in Central Butte from 1954 to 1989. He was president of the College of Family Physicians for a two year term in the 1970's and received his fellowship in Family Medicine in 1977. He was on the National Board of the College of Family Physicians for three years. In 1983, he received a Continuing Education Award of Merit. He was appointed to the U of S Senate as the representative for the Saskatchewan College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1989. In 1963, he was involved in a successful project to treat psychiatric patients in rural communities. With his generous nature and comradeship he spent many hours fishing, golf, hunting and sailing with his family and friends. This made for many long lasting stories that will be enjoyed by all for years to come. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mainprize; sons, Gary (Millie) Mainprize and Lee (Betty) Mainprize; daughter Laura (Gord Redhead) Mainprize; grandchildren, Eric (Beth) Mainprize, Todd (Susan) Mainprize, Brent Mainprize, Dylan Mainprize, Jamie (Steve Evans) Mainprize, Isla Redhead, Marcus Redhead; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Ethan, Evan and Bradley; sister, Marie McKinnon and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Mainprize; and infant grandson, Scott Mainprize. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Acadia Drive Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive) with Pastor Harley Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Parkinson's Disease Foundation (108B 3502 Taylor St. E., Saskatoon, SK, S7H 5H9). Arrangements have been entrusted to Terry G. Michayliuk, ACADIA DRIVE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 955-1600.

MCCREADY - MARGARET LEONA of Kelowna, B.C. passed away in the Stillwaters Private Hospital on August 11th, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her husbands Carl McCready and Joe Sander; Son Wayne and also her two brothers and six sisters. Survived by son Bob (Carolyn), two step-daughters: Gerry (Ken) Curtis; Lorretta (Bob) O'Brien; daughter-in-law Dorothy McCready; four grandchildren: Cheryl, Kevin, Deborah and Shelley and seven great grandchildren and also many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave on Thursday, August 19th, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. A Private Family inurnment will take place in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Friday, August 20th, 2004. MCDONALD, DONALD BAIN - It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Bain at Elkford, BC on Friday, August 13, 2004. Bain was born February 12, 1944 at Wapella, Saskatchewan. At an early age, he moved with his parents to Moosomin where he completed his schooling. He was employed for some years at the Moosomin World Spectator. He then studied Journalism at the University of North Dakota for four years and spent time working in that field in Alberta. Eventually, he relocated to British Columbia to live in his beloved mountains. He resided in the Elk Valley for many years and became a skilled and respected mountain guide. Some of his happiest times were spent doing mountian treks and his fascination and love for the beauty and grandeur of the Rocky Mountains never waned. As well, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Fording Coal Co. for 27 years. Bain was predeceased by his parents Graham and Muriel (Bain) McDonald. He is survived by his sisters: Margaret (Harvey) Morris of Regina, and Norma (Maurice) Fisher of Calgary. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Brad, Dave and Wendy Tippett, Fraser, Jan and Lesley Fisher. MINGLE, MARION - On Monday, August 16, 2004, Marion Mingle passed away peacefully at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband, Stan in 1998; brothers; Bob and Dave; sisters, Emily, Chris and Etta; and numerous in-laws. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marilyn and son-in-law, Chris Larson; her sister, Minnifred Sylvester; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Flowers gratefully declined. She was predeceased by her mother, Kathleen (Laszlo) Gergely; her father, Titus; step-mom, Elsie (Sentes); sister, Agnes; brothers, Martin and Albert. Anne is survived by and sadly missed by her husband of 64 years, Joe Molnar; son, Joe (Norma); daughters, Pat Lebell (Rick) and Lynda Yakimowski (Laurance); grandchildren, Colin Molnar, Stacey Molnar, Rich Lebell (Michelle), Renee Lebell, Sarah Yakimowski, Rebecca Yakimowski, and Roxane Lebell; great-granddaughter, Jordan Blake; sister, Julie Luhning; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in Little Flower R. C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Bill Mahoney as Celebrant. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Prayers and visitation will be held TODAY (Wednesday) at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. STOREY - Cecilia Rozalia, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 29, 2004. Cec was born September 18, 1909 to Joseph and Winnifred Boll. Her childhood home was Viceroy. After her graduation from school, she completed her nurses' training at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina. Cec worked at the Grey Nuns and General Hospitals, spending many years as a night supervisor at the General. She retired after forty years of service. Cec loved to golf and was an honorary life member of the Wascana Country Club. She golfed regularly until she was 93. Cec was married to Rex Robinson and they enjoyed many years together. After the war she married Vaughn Storey who shared her love of golf. Predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Rod, Frank, Joe, Maurice and Donald; her sisters, Mary and Winnie, Cec leaves to mourn her brothers, Phil, Eugene and David; sisters, Yvonne, Loretta and Lucille; special friend, Betty Francis; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who share fond memories of her. Cec's sisters and brothers are grateful for the many relatives and friends who cared for Cec when her health was failing. At Cec's request there will be no funeral service. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services.
