CHARLES McMILLEN

CHARLES "MURRAY" McMILLEN June 25, 1938 - November 25, 2004 Peacefully, at his home in Petersfield, MB, Murray slipped away in his sleep. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia and his children, Carla (Daniel Prevost) of Thompson, Douglas and Michael (Lesa) of Winnipeg. He also leaves to mourn his six grandchildren; sisters, Marietta (Dan Desjardins) and Faye Hood; brother Bob and their extended families. He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Dorothy and brother Bill. He will also be greatly missed by all his wife's family of sisters and brothers, cousins, nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place, in accordance with Murray's wishes, with interment to follow at Brookside Cemtery Rose Garden, where his parents were laid to rest. There is no formal service planned at this time. The family will hold a memorial gathering on his birthday, June 25, 2005, for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to a charity of their choice in his memory. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

VERNETTA MARGARETTE NELSON (nee ABREY) Verna M. Nelson (Abrey) passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2004. She was predeceased by her parents Mabel (1974) and Herbert (1983); husband Thomas (1986); grandson Trevor (1986); son Lloyd (1988); son-in-law Keith (1991); son Howard (1994); five sisters and four brothers. Verna leaves to mourn, her daughter Doreen Sylvester; sons, Leonard, Brian (Lil), Ralph (Laureen); as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and other extended family. Verna was born icon on August 18, 1919. She was a kind, caring person with a superb sense of humour and quick wit. In her life, she enjoyed family, music, bingo and good company (friends) and conversation. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Wendy Rankin officiating. Interment and reception to follow. PETER DOUGLAS MARSHALL NEWELL Peter Newell, aged 85 passed away peacefully at Misericordia Hospital on Wednesday, November 24, 2004. He has now left us to join his daughter Roberta Tejedor, who predeceased him in March of 1995. Peter is survived by his wife Isa Bella; daughter Geraldine Thompson; son Dan Newell (Sue); grandchildren, Colin Thompson (Bobbi-Jo), Bradley Thompson, Michael and Elena Tejedor and Mike Newell; great-granddaughter Jessica Thompson; sons-in-law, George Thompson and Chico Tejedor; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and friends. Peter was predeceased by his mother and father, sisters and brothers. Peter was an upholsterer with Winnipeg Transit for 28 years. Following which he owned his own upholstery business for 15 years and was a successful coin dealer. In his youth Peter was a member of a competitive rifle team. He was also a member of the Legion for 49 years and was an avid square dancer serving as past-president of the Greendell Swingers. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria General Hospital and Misericordia Hospital. GLENN DEAN PERKINS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved and cherished Glenn, on November 25, 2004 at the age of 56 years. NORMAN ARTHUR RADFORD At St. Boniface Hospital on November 24, 2004. He was the beloved husband of Thelma Joan Radford. Norm was born icon in 1923, educated in Norwood and joined the Air Force in 1941. He married Joan Mary Dixon in 1945. Norm is survived by his wife Joan Radford, his daughter Joanne (Walter) of Toronto, grandson, Zachary Radford and his mother Linda of Montreal. His stepsons, Bill (Gloria), Duane (Chris) and Oren (Teresa) Clefstad. Grandchildren, Sara, Joey, Eric, Duane and Michael Clefstad. His brother Thomas Leonard (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Joan Mary Dixon in 1986 and his son Gerald Radford in 1992, his father Carl Radford and mother Nance, his sister Jean Kathleen (Trevor) Webber. Norm joined Air Canada in 1946 and retired after 40 years service as Director of Labor Relations, Montreal. Joan and Norm were married in 1989 and had 15 very special years together. It was Norman's wish to be cremated and a private interment will be held at a later date. GREGORY REILLY

GREGORY SCOTT REILLY Peacefully after a lengthy battle with leukemia, on Wednesday, November 24, 2004, Greg passed away at the Health Science Centre GD6, at the age of 43. Greg will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jordyn; parents, William and Roberta; brothers, Grant (Kelly), Cam (Donna) and Ron; nieces and nephews, Terry, Taylor and Kelsey, Andrew and Noah. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are left with fond memories. Greg was born icon March 14, 1961 in Winnipeg. Growing up in Windsor Park, he attended Howden Elementary and Pierre Radison Collegiate. We will remember Greg for his fighting spirit, hard work ethic and mischievous grin. We could always count on Greg to lend a helping hand, and being a plumber by trade he was often called upon. The family would like to gratefully thank Dr. Rubinger and all the wonderful nurses and staff of Health Sciences Centre GD6 and CancerCare for the compassion and care they have shown Greg. At Greg's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place. GLADYS MAY SERBIN (nee FABBRO) Peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2004, Gladys May Serbin passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 81 years. Gladys was born icon in Winnipeg, MB on January 8, 1923. She married our dad, Fred on September 7, 1940, devoting her life to raising her children and adoring her grand and great-grandchildren. Mom was a fabulous cook and loved sharing meal times with her loved ones. Gladys adored babies, baseball, puppies, knitting, bingo, bowling and playing the harmonica with Fred. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Anne; brothers, Oliver, Ernie and Bob; daughter Diane; and son Vance. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her husband of 64 years, Fred; sons, Ronald and Robert; daughter Linda; brothers, Donald and Richard; sisters, Helen and Gloria; grandchildren, Corinne and Ronald Jr., Daniele and Claudia, Wade and Douglas; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow. ANNA ELEANOR SINCLAIR Very peacefully on November 5, 2004 at West Park Manor. Eleanor was predeceased by husband Lloyd. She leaves to mourn her sister Sylvia Masales, son Todd and wife Susan, four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews, all whom she loved dearly. With special thanks to her friends who looked after her at West Park Manor. At Eleanor's request a service will not be held.

ALMA SINGLE (nee SCHWARK) On Sunday, November 21, 2004, at Concordia Hospital, Alma Single passed away at the age of 84. Left to mourn her passing are her two daughters, Allyson (Walter) Betker of Winnipeg and Patricia Single of Toronto; her two grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Betker; her sisters, Dorothy Gryte and Stephanie (Harold) Berntzen; in-laws, Edna Single, Agnes and Jack Mohr and Irene and Arnold Mauthe. Predeceased by her husband Robert; her parents, William and Martha Schwark; her sisters, Viola Schultz, Frieda Bohemier and Lorraine Livingston. She was born icon June 14, 1920. She lived in Morris and Winnipeg until marrying Robert Single on May 17, 1947. They moved to Waldersee where they ran the grocery store for many years. She loved playing the organ, sewing, baking and reading her many cookbooks. MARY SLEMMONS After a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at the Beausejour Hospital with her family by her side, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mary rose upon the wings of angels with open arms to greet her Heavenly Father. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Marvin of 25 years of marriage; son Darrin Dzioba (Angie); twin grandsons Glen and Phillip who were the pride and joy of her life; brother Rodney Dzioba (Myra); aunts and uncles Joe and Rose Bilan, Mary and John Golembioski; sister-in-law Marlene Adams; niece Christy; cousins and many friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents Mary and Harry Dzioba and sister Dianne Siemens; brother-in-law Chick and her mother and father-in-law. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m., in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, Manitoba, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. A special thank you to Dr. D. Schmidt and the wonderful nursing staff for the care, comfort and compassion that they gave Mary and her family.
