He was a son of the late Edwin Sr. and Gladys (Stephens) Benham. Left to mourn are his wife, Thelma V. (Burgess); daughter, Sheila Oickle (Ronald), Liverpool, and granddaughter, Rose Anne Marie; son, Charles Jr. (Laura), Halifax, and granddaughter Emily and grandson Robert; brother, William (Janice); sisters, Catherine and Annastachia (Ronnie), all of East Green Harbour; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Edwin Jr. and Francis; sister, Elizabeth. Cremation has taken place. No visiting by request. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in H.M. BEZANSON, Bobbi-Jo Stephanie - 34, Camden, passed away October 13, 2003, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a stepdaughter of James Gordon, Truro, and the daughter of the late Carol (Baird) Gordon. Her easy-going disposition and sense of humour made her many friends. Surviving are common-law husband, Dale Wright; children, Nicholas, Danielle, Devan, Cory, all at home; brother, Jack Baird, British Columbia. Funeral 2 p.m. today, in McCulloch United Church, Camden, Rev. Lloyd Burrows officiating. Burial to follow in Camden Cemetery. Family flowers only. BOUTILIER, Camden Ayden - God called this little Angel home on October 12, 2003, in IWK Health Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, September 17, 2003, he was a son of Crystal Tanner and Kevin Boutilier, Lower Sackville. He is survived by his brothers, Zachary, Chandler and twin brother, Beckham, all at home; maternal grandmother, Patricia (Adams) (Tanner) Oldfield, Middle Sackville; paternal grandparents, Gilles and Marsha (White) Boudreau, Halifax; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfathers, Joseph Tanner and Stuart Oldfield. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Born in Sampsonville, Elsie was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (MacNeil) Carter. She will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her son, Jerry (Janet), and her daughters, Lois, Nelda (Erroll) Cotie, and Bella (Glendon) Cameron; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Erin, Colleen, Barbara and Victoria; several nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, John Bray; sisters, Louise, Mary, Cappie, Sarah and Annabel; brothers, Joe, Hughie, Jake, Murdock and Lawrence. ARENBURG, Evelyn Mary - 88, Berwick , Kings Co., passed away Sunday, December 14, 2003 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in North River, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Annie (Joudrey) Lowe. Evelyn was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, and had worked for 20 years at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick, in the house keeping department. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a son, Paul (friend, Zita Comeau) Arenburg, Digby Neck; daughters, Phyllis Kalsen, Ottawa, Ont.; Alice (Joseph) Daigle, Cambridge Sta., Kings Co.; Shirley (William) Cook, Toronto, Ont.; Mabel (Carroll Llewellyn), South Berwick, Kings Co.; Joyce (Wilson) Wile, Aylesford Rd., Kings Co.; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Cornelius Arenburg; brothers, Dennis, Clifford and Gordon Lowe. In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes there will be no visitation. AuCOIN, Marcus Joseph “Mark” - 82, Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, formerly of Sydney River, passed away December 11, 2003, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Margaree, he was a son of the late William E. and Elizabeth (Daigle) AuCoin. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former Christina Basque; daughters, Patricia, Denise; sons, Gerald, Glen. He was predeceased by brothers, Waldo, Edwin, Rudolph, William; sister, Annie Mae. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Lusby and Elizabeth (McSavaney) Roney. She was a member of the United Church in Southampton where she was organist for many years; a member of the Pythian Sisters, Southampton; a former member of the Womens Institute; Secretary/Theasurer for William J. Brown Ldt. for many years; a C.G.I.T. leader and a former member of the Amherst and Springhill Curling Clubs. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, her family and grandchildren. She is survived by a son Roderick (Denise) Brown and two daughters, Eileen (Carl) Canning and Marion (Bruce) Burbine, all of Southampton. Eight grandchildren and one great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband William J. Brown. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today from the A. H. COLLINS, Hazel A. - Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away December 11, 2003, at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Nicholsville, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Guy and Alma (Lowe) Barkhouse. Hazelwas an adherent of the Aylesford United Baptist Church. Surviving are nephews, Paul Ewing, Roy Saunders, Martin, Gordon and Barton Barkhouse and Earle Collins. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Merrill; brothers, Denis and Howard Barkhouse; sisters, Bertha Ewing and Grace Saunders. CREIGHTON, Ronald David - 69, of Dartmouth, passed away December 10, 2003, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Jean (Slaunwhite) Creighton and the late Gordon Creighton. Ronald lived in Halifax for many years and retired from Neptune Theatre. He was a avid bowler, enjoyed playing pool, horse racing, cards, watching hockey and baseball. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dorothy (Smith) Creighton, Dartmouth; daughter, Debbie, at home; sisters, Dorothy (Donald) Baker, Ontario; niece, Cindy Baker, Ontario; nephews, Steven and Kevin Peters, Dartmouth. ARCHIBALD, Karen Lee - 49, Sydney, passed away Friday, April 2, 2004. Formerly of Halifax, Karen was the only daughter of Graham and Hazel (Walker) Archibald, Halifax. Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Kevin (Ted), Toronto; two nieces; one nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A special expression of love to cousins, Penny, Tracy and Wendy Walker. Heartfelt thanks to “Dr. Bob” for all the years of professional care and friendship. Cremation has taken place. ARSENAULT, Hilda Anne - of Protem Senior’s Residence, Moncton, passed away at her residence on Friday, April 9, 2004, at the age of 90 years. Born in Miramichi City, NB, on August 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Scott) Barry. Hilda retired from teaching at the Gunningsville Elementary School from 1961 to 1978. She was a member of a local senior’s group. Hilda had a great love for the Miramichi and enjoyed her visits over the past few years, her greatest pride and job and source of many stories were her three grandsons, Kevin, Michael, and Colin of Dartmouth. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Janice and her husband David Steeves of Dartmouth, three grandchildren, also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andrew in 1961, sister Edna, and brothers Byron and Jimmy. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, from 7-9 p.m. There will be a prayer vigil and sharing of memories of Hilda at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 8.30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 1 p.m. with Father Jeff Doucette officiating. He was later employed as a truck driver for many years, driving for Texaco, Ultramar and Coastal, from where he retired in 2001. He enjoyed hockey, fishing, hunting, bluegrass music, his horses and especially camping with friends and family. He was very fond of his dog “Casey”. For Delmar, teasing was a favorite pastime. He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia “Patsy” Arenburg; sister, Gloria (Robert “Bob”) Redden, South Alton, Kings Co.; brothers, Sheldon, Coldbrook; LaVerne (Joyce), Cambridge, Kings Co.; stepdaughters, Kathy Creamer, Coldbrook; Barbie Adams, Billtown, Kings Co.; four step-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and square dancing. She also loved watching hummingbirds at the feeder from her deck and feeding her “pet” squirrels.
