MOHAMMED CHAUDHRY

September 17, 2004

MOHAMMED CHAUDHRY On August 10, 2004, Mohammed passed away peacefully at home in his sleep at the age of 50. Born in Pakistan on September 23, 1953, he leaves behind his wife Samina, sons Amer and Amaad, also his mother, father, brothers and sisters. Mohammed's death was sudden and unexpected. A service was held on August 13, 2004 at the Muslim Mosque and interment took place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mohammed came to Canada in 1979, and began his long association with the restaurant industry by working at "Mr. Sub". He quickly established himself as a hard worker and by 1986, he opened his first "Mr. Sub". By 1990, he operated seven "Mr. Sub's" throughout the city. After liquidating his interests in the "Mr. Subs" Mohammed established his own restaurant "Canadian Sub" in the spring of 2001, as well, he and wife Samina acquired a "Taco Time" in the winter of 2001. He made many sacrifices in order to succeed in his chosen business ventures, often putting things off expecting that one day soon he would have more time to devote to family and fun! In the winter of 2003, Mohammed made the decision to close "Canadian Sub" so he could spend more time with his family. They went on their first family holiday in the spring of 2004, which they enjoyed immensely. This past summer, they went on what was to be their last holiday. They had hoped to go on many more. Mohammed was a quiet, thoughtful man, who treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. He valued education and tirelessly guided his sons to excel at school. He was a man of integrity who loved his family and was beginning to enjoy the time they had begun to spend together. His wife and sons cherish his memory and on his behalf they wish to thank everyone who supported his business. May God Rest Him in Peace And Bring Him to Heaven
