JOHN "JACK" PRATLEY

Mr. Pratley, 68, died May 5, 2001, at a local care center of Alzheimer's. He was a draftsman.

Mr. Pratley was born April 8, 1933, in Greenwich, Conn., to John J. and Helen (Merritt) Pratley. His father is deceased. He was married in 1952 to Janet N. Mann, who is deceased.

He is survived by three sons, Jack, Kevin and Paul; two daughters, Cathy and Ilene; his mother; four brothers, William, Francis, Kenneth and Preston; a sister, Patricia Mitchell; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held in Connecticut. Burial will be at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich. Pikes Peak Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7990, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 830 N. Tejon St., Suite 410, Colorado Springs 80903.

MARGARET D. "PEGGY" TURNER

Mrs. Turner, 90, died May 4, 2001, at a local hospital.

She was a bookkeeper, office manager and homemaker.

Mrs. Turner was born Feb. 12, 1911, in Lockridge, Iowa, to John C. and Louisa K. (Kleinhan) Duttweiler. She was married to Maurice C. Turner, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Michael K.; a daughter, Toni L. Lane; a brother, Lester Duttweiler; a grandson, Sean Turner; four granddaughters, Kathryn Dulaney, Kristina Lane-Olgyay, Megan Turner and Samantha Turner; and three great-grandchildren, Rio Dulaney, Alyce Dulaney and Kaya Lane-Olgyay. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Duttweiler and Hubert Duttweiler; and a sister, Ethel Stephenson.

No services are planned. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, will handle cremation.

OLIVE "JACK" DANIELS

Mr. Daniels, 78, a former Colorado Springs resident, died May 1, 2001, in Carnegie, Okla. He was a retired mechanic and also served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Daniels was born Oct. 6, 1922, in San Anna, Texas.

He is survived by two sons, David J. and Alan R.; a granddaughter, Michelle Temebly; and a great-grandson, Cody Temebly.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. A gathering afterward will be at 1st Draft Choice, 1110 E. Fillmore St.

RANDOLPH R. "DREW" RAHAL

Mr. Rahal, 57, died April 30, 2001, at a local hospital after a long illness. He was a contractor and also served in the Army.

Mr. Rahal was born Jan. 18, 1944, in McAlester, Okla., to Verdun and Rose Rahal.

He is survived by a daughter, Hillary; his parents; and a brother, Buddy.

Private services are planned.

Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling arrangements.

ADELE ANGELL

Mrs. Angell, 91, died May 4, 2001, at a local hospital of pneumonia. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church for 28 years.

Mrs. Angell was born Oct. 28, 1909, in Plains, Kan., to Everett and Mamie Edwards, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 3, 1928, to C. Francis Angell, who is deceased.

She is survived by three sons, Charlie, Royce and Wayne; a daughter, Lynda Williams; a son-in-law, Morgan Williams; three daughters-in-law, Phyllis, Judi and Betty; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfie and Cecil; and also an infant brother.

Visitation will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, with services at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 317 E. Kiowa St.

Graveside services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Plains Cemetery, Plains.

EDWARD L. DALTON

Mr. Dalton, 74, died May 3, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service.

Mr. Dalton was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Palmer Lake to Earl L. and Bertha (Dettling) Dalton, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 12, 1953, to Irine Tollison, who is deceased.

He is survived by two daughters, Patty Dalton and Evelyn Burke; his mother-in-law, Ana Manning; a brother, Lavern; a sister, Irene Jilka; several nieces, nephews and cousins; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gideon Baptist Church, 1320 C and S Road, Fountain. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Baptist Church, 1320 C and S Road, Fountain 80917.

ANTHONY JOSEPH PAUL

Mr. Paul, 68, died April 29, 2001, at a local hospital. He served in the Army infantry from 1951 to 1972. He worked at Daniels Chevrolet and Best Western Transmission.

Mr. Paul was born March 18, 1933, in New York City. He was married to Joan P. Saylee, who is deceased.

He is survived by four sons, Chris, Brian and David of Colorado Springs and Michael of Pueblo; a daughter, Sue Smith of Colorado Springs; a brother, Richard of Las Vegas; a sister, Sondra Zanella of Merry Mack, N.H.; his close companion, Faye Thompson; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2845 Parliament Drive.

Graveside services will be afterward at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

ROBERT L. "SMILEY" HOMBERG JR.

Mr. Homberg, 61, died May 4, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a manager of Bill's Tool Rental and also served in the Air Force.

Mr. Homberg was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Annapolis, Md., to Robert L. and Eleanora (Grierson) Homberg, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 23, 1960, to Patricia Edminsten, who is deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Robert and Alan; a stepmother, Betty Phelps; a brother, Raymond; three sisters, Bunny, Mary and Joan; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blunt Mortuary Chapel, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., 634-8831. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blunt Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St.

TOM NEWELL JR.

Mr. Newell, 78, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died May 4, 2001, at a local care center. He retired from civil service and also served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945 and from 1946 to 1949.

Mr. Newell was born April 9, 1923, in Ilse to Thomas and Mae (Lee) Newell, who are deceased. He was married March 6, 1954, to Lucy Emmons.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ed Chapman of Loveland; a daughter, Betty Sue Cooper of Greeley; a brother, Harold Voss of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Louise Young of Ca�on City; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dick; and a sister, Isabell Whittenbeck.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, with services at 1 p.m., at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road.

Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

BERNARD FRANCIS FORSTER

Mr. Forster, 80, died May 4, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was retired from the Air Force, where he served from 1943 to 1969 and attained the rank of colonel.

Mr. Forster was born March 11, 1921, in Willard, Ohio, to Phillip Francis and Frances Agnes (Leitz) Forster, who are deceased. He was married June 1, 1946, to Ann T. Sartish.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard; two daughters, Connie Stasikowski and Nancy Chenevey; three brothers, Eugene, Robert and Father Francis; a sister, Mary Ann; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive. Burial will be held at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

SISTER JULITTA HORACK

Sister Horack, 92, died May 4, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a caretaker of orphans and a housekeeper.

Sister Horack was born July 13, 1908, in New York City.

Wake service will be at 5:15 p.m. today at Mount St. Francis Sisters' Chapel, 7665 Assisi Heights. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2650 Parish View. Burial will be at Mount St. Francis Cemetery, 7665 Assisi Heights. Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900 is handling arrangements.

S. FAYE SMITH

Mrs. Smith, 70, a former Colorado Springs resident, died May 4, 2001, in Van Buren, Ark. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Mulberry, Ark., to Mckennel and Minia Henry. Her father is deceased. She was married April 7, 1958, to Robert Smith.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Bobby Henry of Mulberry; her mother; two brothers, Robert Carrier and Darrell Henry, both of Mulberry; two sisters, Delpha Rosson of Mulberry and Margaret Edwards of Alma, Ark.

Services will be held in Van Buren. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Ark. Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, (501) 474-5081, is handling arrangements.

MILDRED "MILLIE" (BORGIS) MILLER

Mildred, 73, died April 19, 2001, at a local care center. She worked at U S West for 30 years. She served in the Women's Army Corps for four years.

Mildred was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Detroit, to Raymond and Bernice Borgis, who are deceased.

She is survived by a son, David; two daughters, Debra Tafoya and Pamela Jeffords; a brother, Ray Borgis; three sisters, Nancy Slage, Dorothy Tweedy and Sally Tiala; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
