CATHERINE HOBACK

Mrs. Hoback, 90, a former Colorado Springs resident, died April 18, 2001, in Englewood. She retired from civil service.

Mrs. Hoback was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Scott City, Kan. She was married Dec. 31, 1940, to Harvey H. Hoback, who is deceased.

She is survived by two sons, William and James; a sister, Mary Cathcart; a grandson, Kent; and a granddaughter, Kati.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

ROBERT W. CURL

Mr. Curl, 73, died April 19, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a mechanical inspector for Ampex Corp. in Colorado Springs and served in the Army.

Mr. Curl was born Sept. 29, 1927, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to William Everett and Delcie (Garner) Curl, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 9, 1987, to Clarice Dickherber.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Bruce K. and Bryan S.; a daughter, Myra E. Townsend; a stepson, Thomas Hanebery; three stepdaughters, Patricia Ochs, Sandra Irwin and Tamara Donovan; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett; and a sister, Everlee.

No services are planned. Inurnment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Malvern, Ark. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling local arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Colorado Springs Chapter of National Kidney Foundation, 12 N. Meade Ave., Colorado Springs 80909.

RICHARD ELISHA WEAVER

Mr. Weaver, 79, died April 19, 2001, at a local care center. He was a civil-service mechanical engineer and served in the Army-Air Corp.

Mr. Weaver was born July 1, 1921, in Arkport, N.Y., to Albert and Cora Weaver, who are deceased. He was married to Euphemia "Fay" MacDonald, who is deceased.

He is survived by a son, Richard M.; a daughter, Heather J. Brown; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everrett; and a sister, Marion Aurtherton.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Ave. Inurnment is planned. Mission Crematory, 930 S. Hancock Ave., 475-2169, is handling arrangements.

RHIANNON JADE HOARD RUSH

Rhiannon, infant daughter of Ronald Frank "Ron" and Dorothy "Amanda" (Hawk) Rush, died April 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

Rhiannon was born March 15, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

She is survived by her parents; her paternal grandmother, Cyndie Rush; her paternal grandfather and his wife, Steve and Cathy Hoard; her maternal grandmother, Margie Hawk; her maternal great-grandparents, Russell and Sara Draper; her paternal great-grandmother, Eleanor Robb; and her paternal great-grandfather, Frank Hoard.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Turkey Creek Recreation Park, Highway 115, Fort Carson. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

JOHN R. DeVRIES

Mr. DeVries, 78, died April 18, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a facilities coordinator for IBM.

Mr. DeVries was born March 3, 1923, in Lansing, Ill., to Adrian and Anna (Riedstra) DeVries, who are deceased. He was married to Magdalene VanderLugt.

He is survived by his wife; a son, J. Wayne; two daughters, Anita Edwards and Carol Nelson; two sons-in-law, Earl Edwards and Dave Nelson; a daughter-in-law, Lorene; four brothers, Albert, Adrian, Douglas and Richard; a sister, Marion Brenton; a brother-in-law, Robert Brenton; three sisters-in-law, Irene, Jeanne and Dorothy; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Inc., 225 F Ave., Limon, (719) 775-2333. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, corner of Sioux Ave. and Deer St., Simla. Burial will be at Simla City Cemetery, Simla.

HIRAM R. TRIM

Mr. Trim, 67, died April 8, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a truck driver and served in the Navy for four years.

Mr. Trim was born June 5, 1933, in Brush to Clarence and Nona (Sharp) Trim, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 26, 1960, to Connie Wells.

He is survived by his wife; three sons; a daughter; four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale; and a sister, Virginia.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.

GEORGIA MAE KELLY

Mrs. Kelly, 70, died April 18, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kelly was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Caņon City to George J. and Mary Jane (Boland) Vickman, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 24, 1951, to John L. Kelly.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Timothy; a daughter, Maureen Crane; a brother, Harold Vickman; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kane.

Viewing will be at 6 p.m. today with services at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive. After the service, a reception will be held at the church. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

CLARITA "CHIQUITA" McINTYRE

Mrs. McIntyre, 33, died April 17, 2001, in Colorado Springs of breast cancer. She was a manager at a bowling alley.

Mrs. McIntyre was born Sept. 1, 1967, in Manila, Philippine Islands, to Ricardo and Erlinda (Oli) Alonzo. Her father is deceased. She was married Oct. 4, 1990, to Scott McIntyre.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, A.J. and Jordan; her mother; five brothers, Danilo Alonzo, Rolando Alonzo, Ricardo Alonzo Jr., Celso Alonzo and Gerardo Alonzo; and two sisters, Terry Bodner and Lorena Alonzo.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace." Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. After the burial, a reception will be at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.

GREGG A. BECKWITH

Mr. Beckwith, 47, a Florissant resident, died April 18, 2001, in Woodland Park. He was owner of Beckwith Excavating.

Mr. Beckwith was born Aug. 11, 1953, in Pierre, S.D., to Walter and Eileen (Orwall) Beckwith. His father is deceased. He was married Dec. 29, 1978, to Donna Maas.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Shawna Visser of Woodland Park and Andrea Beckwith of Florissant; his mother; three brothers, David, of California, Carl, of South Dakota and Dean, of South Dakota; two sisters, Nancy Christiansen, of California and Grace Beckwith, of Arizona; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Memorial Services, 51 County Road 5, Divide, 687-0333. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, 205 N. Pine, Woodland Park. Cremation is planned.

NORMAN L. AMIDON

Mr. Amidon, 85, died April 13, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a business owner.

Mr. Amidon was born Feb. 1, 1916, in Melrose, Wis., to Silas and Grace (Mierow) Amidon, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 22, 1936, to Violet L. Calkins.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sherry E. Kent; a son-in-law, Jerry A. Kent; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private family services are planned. Inurnment is planned. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling arrangements.

LAURA M. FRAZIER

Mrs. Frazier, 73, died April 11, 2001, at a local hospital. She worked in private home healthcare.

Mrs. Frazier was born April 26, 1927, in Natchez, Miss., to Ellis and Ella (Carter) Martin, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 8, 1952, to Arthur Frazier Jr., who is deceased.

Mrs. Frazier is survived by five sons, Arthur III of Minden, La., Bennie Lee, Karl R., Ellis and Harvey S., all of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Dorothy Atencio of Colorado Springs and Carol Thomas of Minden; two brothers, Ellis Martin Jr. of Colorado Springs and Jeffery Martin of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Elnora Taylor and Florice Washington; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Martin and Mckinley Martin; and two sisters, Ruth Martin and Clarice Martin.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon today at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Road, 391-1918. Services of Jehovah's Witness will be at 1 p.m. today at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 819 E. Vermijo Ave. Burial will be in Minden.

PATRICIA ANN ELLIOTT

Patricia, 19, was found April 12, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs as a result of an apparent homicide. She was a full-time freshman at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Patricia was born Nov. 4, 1981, in Hyannis, Mass., to David and Connie Elliott.

She is survived by her parents; a brother, Scott E., of Colorado Springs; and her grandparents Ed and Ann Elliott of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Eleanor Scott of Live Oak, Fla.

A memorial gathering will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dreampower Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 62923, Colorado Springs 80962.
