GERALDINE “GERRY” BATTIN

Mrs. Battin, 85, died Nov. 16, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Battin was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Lakin, Kan., to Roy and Sarah Ruth (Calhoun) Dearth, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 26, 1941, to Merritt Battin, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Melvin; two brothers, George Dearth and John Dearth; a sister, Barbara Embry; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, Kan. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling local arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Suite 600, Colorado Springs 80903.

LUBIN RAYMOND QUINTANA

Mr. Quintana, 79, died Nov. 18, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a land surveyor. He served in the Army.

Mr. Quintana was born July 6, 1922, in Saguache to Solamae Quintana and Frances Martinez, who are deceased. He was married to Carmen M. Archuleta, who is deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Billy and Randy Earl; four daughters, Bernice Kathy Delgadillo, Frances Montano, Rosalie Garcia and Debbie Comley; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carmen Mary Quintana; his second wife, Tiny Quintana; and a son, Raymond Lubin.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home “Chapel of Peace.” A private inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

LAURIE J. ESPOSITO

Mrs. Esposito, 42, died Nov. 19, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a computer chip inspector for Atmel.

Mrs. Esposito was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Killeen, Texas. She was married Aug. 18, 1984, to Tony Esposito.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jake and Stephen; a daughter, Laurina; two stepdaughters, Devra Barboza and Christine Esposito; her mother, June A. Berchon; a brother, Stephen Lick; and two sisters, Ann K. Wilson and Christy Marino. She was preceded in death by a son, Zak; her father, Richard V. Lick; and a brother, Michael R. Lick.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nolan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

CARLAS DALE MORGAN

Mr. Morgan, 55, died Nov. 18, 2001, at a local care center. He was a linoleum installer.

Mr. Morgan was born June 28, 1946, in Kirksville, Mo., to James P. Morgan and Jen Ann M. Broyles, who are deceased.

He is survived by three sons, Kevin James, Kyle Wayne and Ty James; a brother, Cecil “Jim”; and a sister, Candy Madden.

No services are scheduled at this time. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303, is handling cremation.

RAYMOND DARNELL “RAY” HUERY-BROWN

Mr. Huery-Brown, 31, a Colorado Springs resident, died Nov. 14, 2001, in Pueblo. He was a construction laborer.

Mr. Huery-Brown was born March 20, 1970, in Colorado Springs to Gail Ann Risado and Lamont Bell.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Terry Tanks; a sister, Regina Tanks; his grandmother, Joyce Huery; and his paternal grandparents, Lemon and Daisey Bell.

Services will be held at a later date. Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Colorado Affiliate, 2480 W. 26th Ave., Suite 120B, Denver 80211.

CLEM J. SCHUBERT

Mr. Schubert, 82, died Nov. 17, 2001, at a local hospital. He retired from ranch farming and construction. He served in the Navy.

Mr. Schubert was born July 19, 1919, in Fowler to George Schubert and Antonia Rockleman, who are deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis P. and David E.; a daughter, Karen Lamaster; two brothers, Ted and Robert; three sisters, Velma Oswald, June Jardine and Beth Hawkins; his companion, Dorothy Carver; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the giver’s choice.

JESUS P. CRUZ

Mr. Cruz, 70, died Nov. 16, 2001, at a local hospital. He retired from the Army after 23 years of service. He also retired from civil service.

Mr. Cruz was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Agana, Guam, to Juan Salas Cruz and Dolores Perez, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 1, 1957, to Imgrad Rump.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Miguel A., David M., Juan R., Joseph F. and Anthony W.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. today at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. After the service, a reception will be held at 2121 Carmel Drive. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.

GLADYS BOMHOFF

Mrs. Bomhoff, 86, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Nov. 18, 2001, at a Denver care center. She was a retired registered nurse.

Mrs. Bomhoff was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Minnesota to Hugo and Ellen (Johnson) Wollin, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 3, 1981, to C. Robert (Bob) Bomhoff, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Charles L. “Skip” Page; a daughter, Barbara Page Dooley; a sister, Emeline Elg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Leola Brown.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs 80907.

MARTHA G. HENDERSON

Mrs. Henderson, 59, died Nov. 19, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a comptroller with The Radisson Inn North for 15 years.

Mrs. Henderson was born May 21, 1942, in Sparta, Ill., to Harry G. and Mary Elizabeth (Robb) Hayes, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 11, 1961, to Robert Earl Henderson.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Todd Earl; a daughter, Sherri Ann Brown; two brothers, Robert Hayes and Jim Hayes; a sister, Mary Jean Darrough; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday in Sparta. Burial will be at Caladonia Cemetery, Sparta. Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 E. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling local arrangements.

HEDWIG HEINLE

Mrs. Heinle, 78, died Nov. 17, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Heinle was born May 10, 1923, in Stuttgart, Germany, to Johann Karl Kleinknecht and Berta F. Hafele, who are deceased. She was married April 7, 1956, to C.A. “Larry” Heinle.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Heidi Burger, Ursula Chapman, Eveline Lewis and Silvia Brontoli; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Rose, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

DOROTHY MARY WOYCHAK

Ms. Woychak, 70, died Nov. 13, 2001, at her Monument home after a long illness. She was a homemaker.

Ms. Woychak was born Sept. 3, 1931, in New York.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara E. Stober; a brother, Allen Unger; a sister, Marlene Street; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today for friends and family at the Stober residence. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7990, is handling arrangements.

MARY M. DiPASQUALE

Mrs. DiPasquale, 82, a former Security resident, died Nov. 16, 2001, in Millville, N.J. She retired from Sears as a sales associate.

Mrs. DiPasquale was born April 30, 1919, in Newburgh, N.Y., to James W. and Mary Amelia (Leinhart) Vernol, who are deceased. She was married June 19, 1939, to Fred J. DiPasquale, who is deceased.

She is survived by three sons, Fred Jr., Richard and Joseph; five daughters, Mary Kirschenbaum, Dolores Hentschel, Marguerite Woods, Judith Zahray and Catherine Marrone; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Thomas; and two daughters, Diane Elizabeth Ferguson and Rosemary DiPasquale.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 565 Marquette Drive, Security. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, 757 S. Santa Fe Ave., Fountain.

HATTIE J. “JACKIE” LORDS

Mrs. Lords, 77, died Nov. 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a caregiver for 15 years and a homemaker.

Mrs. Lords was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Oberlin, Kan., to Cecil H. and Evelyn J. (Dickey) Pursell, who are deceased. She was married Feb. 24, 1947, to Clarence R. Lords.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Pamela Runyon; and a sister, Imogene Bundy.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling cremation.
