DORIS MARIE GALLOWAY

Ms. Galloway, 48, died Nov. 14, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a chemist for the Air Force.

Ms. Galloway was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Oak Ridge, Tenn., to Joseph Lee and Hazel Lenora (Hall) Dickens Sr. Her mother is deceased.

She is survived by a son, David; two daughters, Jennifer Fitch and Cheryl Britten; her father; a brother, Joseph Lee Jr.; a sister, Gwen Mazurowski; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900.

CLOVER FRANCES HOLLIDAY

Mrs. Holliday, 91, died Nov. 10, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker and former cashier.

Mrs. Holliday was born March 13, 1910, in Deerfield, Iowa, to Louis Stratford and Lottie Van Debogart, who are deceased. She was married Dec. 18, 1980, to John G. Holliday.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Merwyn G. “Buzz” Gordon; two daughters, Betty A. Gordon and Darlene Eunich; a brother, Van Stratford; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Harriette Mercer, Sarah Fox and Veda Stratford.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.

GREGORY PARKINS PECK

Mr. Peck, 41, died Nov. 10, 2001, at a local care center of multiple myeloma cancer. He was a painting contractor and self-employed owner of Town & Country Custom Painting. He served in the Army for two years and the Army Reserves for 10 years.

Mr. Peck was born Sept. 5, 1960, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Parke Peck and Sylvia Hall.

He is survived by his companion, Lora Shipman; two daughters, Lauren and Kelli; his parents; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Diane.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Inurnment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

DAVID JOSEPH ZIMMERMANN

Mr. Zimmermann, 58, died Nov. 1, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He worked in boiler maintenance. He served in the Marine Corps for four years.

Mr. Zimmermann was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Sheboygan, Wis., to Alfred Zimmermann and Laverne Binder, who are deceased.

He is survived by a brother, Glenn. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy, and a sister, Nancy Watry.

A private inurnment will be in Random Lake, Wis. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling local arrangements.

ROSEMARY M. BARNETT

Mrs. Barnett, 81, died Nov. 10, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired administrative assistant and homemaker.

Mrs. Barnett was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Elmer A. and Margaret C. Bailey Alig, who are deceased. She was married June 8, 1946, to Vernon D. Barnett, who is deceased.

She is survived by two sons, Gary and Michael; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.

SYLVIA JERRINE (SMITHEY) CROSSLEN

Mrs. Crosslen, 93, died Nov. 9, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Crosslen was born March 8, 1908, in Paris, Texas, to Henry Clay Smithey and Martha Adeline Pryor, who are deceased. She was married March 1, 1933, to Orville L. Crosslen, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Howard; four daughters, Eileen Mays, Lois Wirweitzki, Linda Flesher and Mary Anderson; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Alleen Ediger and Janet Crosslen, and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home “Chapel of Peace.” Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

MAJ. GEN. WENDELL J. COATS

Maj. Gen. Coats, 86, died Nov. 12, 2001, at a local hospital. He served in the Army for 33 years.

Maj. Gen. Coats was born July 28, 1915, in Sterling to Elbert Coats and Hannah Grace Castleberry, who are deceased. He was married Feb. 24, 1946, to Benny Lee Smith.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Wendell “John” Jr., Nathan “Ben” and Wilson C.; a sister, Myra Coffey; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, 16 E. Platte Ave. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

WILLIAM P. “BILL” HINKLE

Mr. Hinkle, 78, died Nov. 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He retired from the aerospace industry. He served in the Army Air Corps for three years.

Mr. Hinkle was born June 16, 1923, in Pickens, S.C., to Silas D. and Eileen (Whitmire) Hinkle, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 25, 1950, to Doris A. Mann, who is deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip and Wm. Scott; a daughter, Susan Carbaugh; two brothers, Thomas D. “Buck” and Robert; three sisters, Frances Lewis, Patricia Morrow and Nancy Flesch; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Cornell.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mountain View Mortuary Chapel, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922. A private inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

DONALD OLIVER ROBINSON

Mr. Robinson, 71, died Nov. 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He retired as a supervisor from Mountain Bell Telecommunications. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953.

Mr. Robinson was born July 8, 1930, in Colorado Springs to Carl and Carrie (Weaver) Robinson, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 15, 1956, to Genevieve L. Wilson, who is deceased.

He is survived by two daughters, Dianne Black and Donna Faircloth; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No services are planned. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

DOLIE JUDAH

Mrs. Judah, 93, died Nov. 10, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Judah was born March 2, 1908, in Dale County, Ala., to Noah Dansby and Molly Wright, who are deceased. She was married to Willie Lee Hanks, who is deceased. She then was married in 1964 to Clyde Judah, who is deceased.

She is survived by two daughters, Eva Adkison and Mildred Powell; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Hanks.

A private family inurnment is planned. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303, is handling arrangements.

DAVID A. HANSEN

Mr. Hansen, 87, died July 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a farmer in Iowa. He also was owner and operator of the Motel X in Ute Pass.

Mr. Hansen was born March 26, 1914, in Goldfield, Iowa, to Magnus and Mabel Paine Hansen, who are deceased. He was married July 3, 1935, to Vivian Myers.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mary Peterson and Judy Miner; a brother, Robert; two sisters, Dorothy Paine and Katherine Hansen; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolee Shimon.

No services are planned. A private inurnment will be at Crystal Valley Cemetery, end of Plainview Place, Manitou Springs. Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., 634-8831, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the giver’s choice.

NELLIE V. MACKINS

Nellie, 74, died July 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a CPA.

Nellie was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Trenton, Tenn., to Owens Hyde and Zenioba Marshall, who are deceased.

She is survived by three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William, and a sister, Mary Gunn.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services Chapel, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144. Cremation is planned.

BENINO VIALPANDO

Mr. Vialpando, 69, died July 12, 2001, at a local care center. He was a retired construction worker. He served in the Air Force for nine years, eight months and 14 days.

Mr. Vialpando was born May 7, 1932, in Chama to Eutimo and Juanita (Sanchez) Vialpando, who are deceased. He was married April 19, 1954, to Ernestine Vigil.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Ben, Virgil, Dennis and Jose; a daughter, Gail Pennington; three sisters, Tille Vialpando, Celcia Rael and Cora Mascaranza; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Roses. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.
