Bernice Roseler Wayman-Harbison
Nov. 29, 1910 - March 11, 2006

Bernice Roseler Wayman-Harbison, of Longmont, died of natural causes Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Longmont. She was 95.

The daughter of Henry Roseler and Mary Ernst Roseler, she was born Nov. 29, 1910, in O'Neill, Neb. She married Clarence Wayman in October 1932 in O'Neill. He died in 1964. She married B. Franklin "Frank" Harbison in November 1968. He died in March 2002.

Mrs. Wayman-Harbison moved to Boulder from Nebraska in 1938, and to Longmont in 1961.

Mrs. Wayman-Harbison completed her education at a one-room country schoolhouse. She began cooking in private homes at the age of 16. After marriage, she was a homemaker and mother. With Clarence Wayman, she owned and operated Kozy Trailer Park in Boulder until their retirement in 1961.

A member of Central Presbyterian Church, Longmont, since 1962, Mrs. Wayman-Harbison was active in the Sewing Guild, Bible classes, Vacation Bible School and cooking for Men's Brotherhood dinners. She was also a member of the Knife and Fork Club, the Hello Neighbor Club and the Boulder County Revival Club. She enjoyed cooking, taking cake-decoration classes, spending her winters in Arizona and reading her Bible.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Richard Wayman, of Cathedral City, Calif.; two stepsons, Robert Lee Harbison, of Seattle, and John Richard Harbison, of Colorado Springs; a sister, Viola Yearout, of Longmont; six grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Albert Roseler and Edward Roseler, one sister, Marie Waddell; and one stepdaughter, Donna Harbison Douglass.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont.

Funeral serviceswill be from 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Perica will officiate. Interment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave., Boulder.

Wayne D. Wisdom

Aug. 31, 1944 - March 14, 2006

Wayne D. Wisdom, of Lafayette, died of heart disease Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Lafayette. He was 61.

The son of Malcom Wisdom and Marion Stine Wisdom, he was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Boise, Idaho.

Mr. Wisdom lived in Boulder County since 1979.

A 1962 graduate of Longmont High School, Mr. Wisdom was a parts man for Buick and GM auto dealerships.

Survivors include his mother, of Sacramento, Calif.; and a brother, Mark David Wisdom, of San Francisco.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1963.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rocky Mountain Christian Church, 9447 Niwot Road, Longmont. Cris Crisfield will officiate.

Hannelore C. Buettner

Dec. 22, 1931 - Feb. 26, 2006

Hannelore C. Buettner, of Boulder, died of Parkinson's disease Feb. 26, 2006, in Boulder. She was 74.

The daughter of Franz Metzner and Matilda Bauer Metzner, she was born on Dec. 22, 1931, in Germany.

She married Harry Buettner on Aug. 13, 1953, in New York City. He died Jan. 31, 1980.

Mrs. Buettner moved to Boulder in 1980.

Mrs. Buettner was a mother and homemaker, who enjoyed decorating, music, gardening, hiking and animals.

She was "our beloved and adored mother and grandmother, whose integrity, loyalty and special knack for saying and doing just the right thing will be missed so very much, " her family said.

Survivors include her son, Andrew Buettner, of Amsterdam; a daughter, Cristina Temmer, of Thornton; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services have been held.

Horan and McConaty, in Thornton, handled arrangements.

Larry L. Levitt

Dec. 27, 1943 - March 10, 2006

Larry L. Levitt, of Boulder, died of a heart attack Friday, March 10, 2006, in Mesa, Ariz. He was 62.

The son of Bernard Levitt and Phyllis Field Levitt Stevens, he was born Dec. 27, 1943, in Effingham, Ill. He married Etta Griffin on Aug. 26, 1967, in Kankakee, Ill.

Mr. Levitt moved to Boulder in August 1975.

A 1961 graduate of Kankakee High School, Mr. Levitt was a retail salesman from 1968 until 2000, working at Sears, Montgomery Ward and Greenwood Home Furnishings. From 2001 until his death, he worked for the city of Boulder's Parking Services.

Mr. Levitt served in the Air Force as an Airman, 3rd Class, from January 1962 until December 1965. He was a member of Boulder Elks No. 566, St. Paul's United Methodist Church and American Legion of Colorado, Post No. 10.

Mr. Levitt was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the University of Colorado Buffaloes. He enjoyed traveling and was a community volunteer.

"Larry loved living in Boulder, meeting new people, giving a helping hand, and no one was ever a stranger to him, " his family said.

Survivors include his wife, of Boulder; a daughter, Jodi Dupre, of Broomfield; a son, Kevin Levitt, of Westminster; a sister, Sandy Flora, of Conway, S.C.; two brothers, Mike Levitt, of New Port Richey, Fla., and Dave Levitt, of Dunedin, Fla.; his stepmother, Lorena Levitt, of Bourbonnais, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dan Levitt; and his stepfather, Wayne Stevens.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, with a reception to follow at American Legion Post No. 10, 4760 28th St., Boulder. The Rev. Rhea Barningham will officiate.

Contributions in the memory of Mr. Levitt may be made to Meals on Wheels of Boulder, 909 Arapahoe Ave., Suite 121, Boulder, CO 80302; or the American Heart Association, 1280 South Parker Road, Denver, CO 80231.

Margaret Elliott Holmberg

Oct. 9, 1930 - Feb. 22, 2006

Margaret Elliott Holmberg, of Green Valley, Ariz., died of lung disease Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in Tucson, Ariz. She was 75.

The daughter of John Paul Elliott and Agnes McGrath Elliott she was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Sewickley, Pa. She married Raymond C. Holmberg in 1982.

Mrs. Holmberg lived in Boulder from 1948 until 1953.

A 1948 graduate of South High School in Denver, Mrs. Holmberg earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Colorado in 1953. She taught kindergarten and elementary school at various schools in Denver and Los Alamos, N.M.

She was active in several organizations, including the South High Girls Lunch Society, Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association, Green Valley Newcomers Association, Green Valley Writers Club and the Better Breathers Club, where she helped others dealing with lung disease.

"Margaret's faith, joie de vivre and optimism were an inspiration to the many lives she touched, " her family said. "She is loved and will be missed by many."

Survivors include three daughters, Carolee Fagent, Mary Ann Looby, and Kathleen S. Cabrera; three sons, Frederick H. Shepphird Jr., John E. Shepphird, and William R. Shepphird; three stepsons, Alan Holmberg, Larry Holmberg, and Randy Holmberg; one stepdaughter, Royanna Pederson; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Contributions in the memory of Mrs. Holmberg may be made to Catholic Relief Services, 209 West Fayette St., Baltimore, MD 21201; The National Jewish Medical and Research Center, 1400 Jackson St., Denver, CO 80206.

Services have been held.

Ruth Marie Logerquist

May 6, 1914 - March 17, 2006

Ruth Marie Logerquist, of Boulder, died of natural causes Friday, March 17, 2006, in Boulder. She was 91.

The daughter of Earl Sinclair Stewart and Della Hibler Stewart, she was born May 6, 1914, in Hubbard, Ohio. She married Verne E. Logerquist on Jan. 1, 1941, in Hubbard.

Mrs. Logerquist moved to Boulder in 1988.

She graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., in 1936 with a degree in music and worked for the Kenmore, N.Y., school system.

She was a member of Kenmore Presbyterian Church, a soloist for Deaconess Buffalo Philharmonic Chorale, a board member of a retirement home in Kenmore, and a member of the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Boulder.

Survivors include one son, Jim Logerquist, of Boulder; two daughters, Sally Lampe, of Portland, Ore., and Karen Simmons, of Longmont; a sister, Betty Patton, of Jupiter, Fla.; a brother, Robert Stewart, of Yuma, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

A memorial servicewill be at 1 p.m. today in the Mountain Vista Room of Frasier Meadows Manor, 350 Ponca Place, Boulder. The Rev. John Hess, of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.

EVERT V. PIERSON

Evert V. Pierson, of Boulder, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Boulder. He was 96. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of M.P. Murphy & Associates Funeral Directors in Boulder.

AAA God, aka Arnold 'Arnie' Stein

Nov. 5, 1928 - March 13, 2006

AAA God, aka Arnold "Arnie" Stein, of Boulder, died of natural causes Monday, March 13, 2006, in Boulder. He was 77.

Born on Nov. 5, 1928, in Brandenburg, Germany, his parents' names were unknown.

Mr. Stein legally changed his name to AAA God. He moved to Boulder in 1966.

A graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University, he worked seven years at IBM and taught skiing at Arapahoe Basin.

He was known for his accordion-playing abilities, and entertained at the Elks Club and Heritage Square. He enjoyed waterskiing, and, after a waterskiing accident in 1980, he became a "light worker, " and developed an interest in meditation, metaphysics and higher evolution.

"AAA God had many friends in the Boulder area, " his survivors said. "He wrote in one of his many notebooks, 'Wash your robes of consciousness so that you may be forever.'"

Survivors include a sister, Gerda Lichtenberg, of Brandenburg.

Services will be held at a later date.

Bill J. Fisher

July 31, 1926 - March 14, 2006

Bill J. Fisher, of Broomfield, died of natural causes Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Westminster. He was 79.

The son of Walter Clyde Fisher and Florence Irene Golden, he was born July 31, 1926, in Searcy, Ark. He married Betty Jane Telgener on Oct. 6, 1946, in Sandpoint, Idaho. She died in 1999. He married Marty Shaw on July 23, 1999, in Longmont.

Mr. Fisher moved to Broomfield in 2002 from Boulder, where he lived for about 40 years.

A graduate of Allen Military Academy in Bryan, Texas, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and studied pre-law at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.

He owned a garden center in Houston, worked as a self-insured claims adjuster for McMillin Claims Service in Boulder, and was the city of Longmont's risk manager for five years.

Mr. Fisher attended First Presbyterian Church of Boulder and was a member of Promise Keepers and the Friday Morning Christian Men's Fellowship. He was also a member and past president of Boulder Kiwanis Club and Boulder Jaycees, and a member of Boulder Elks Lodge No. 566. He volunteered for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Boulder.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and camping.

Survivors include his wife, of Broomfield; one son, Steven Fisher, of Schwenksville, Pa.; one daughter, Debra Ann Orton, of Longmont; two stepsons, Douglas Malay, of WaKeeney, Kan., and David Malay, of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Diane La Manna, of Thornton; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; one son, David Fisher; one sister, Marjorie Fern; and one grandchild, Katelynn Fisher.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 1850 15th St., Boulder. The Rev. John Hess will officiate. A reception follows at the church.
