Donald Pakiser
March 25, 1931 - Oct. 19, 1999

Donald Pakiser of Boulder died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, in Clear Creek County. He was 68.

He was born March 25, 1931, in Conifer to Fritz Pakiser and Fanny Brewer Pakiser. He married Karen Cordill on Feb. 12, 1972, in Evergreen.

Mr. Pakiser moved to Boulder 40 years ago from Evergreen.

He was a plumber who owned Don's Sewer Service. He retired two years ago.

He was an avid fisherman and a hunter. He also enjoyed Western polo and farming activities.

Survivors include his wife of Boulder; four daughters, Honey Pakiser and Bonnie Bently, both of Loveland, Candi Pryor of Grand Lake and Dianne Leach of Boulder; three sons, Fritz Pakiser of Loveland, Shane Pakiser of Denver and Michael Pakiser of Boulder; a sister, Louella Lamping of Denver; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Pakiser and Delmar Anderson.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Howe Mortuary of Boulder, 2121 11th St., Boulder.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Howe Chapel.

A private cremation will take place after the services.

Robert Barr Smith
Feb. 16, 1925 - Oct. 19, 1999

Robert Barr Smith of Boulder died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, in Boulder. He was 74.

He was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Topeka, Kan., to Louis Smith and Hazel Jones Smith. He married Jane Engle on Sept. 2, 1950, in Chapman, Kan.

Mr. Smith was an engineer for Bell Laboratories of New Jersey from 1956 until his retirement. He moved to Boulder in 1980 from Illinois.

He earned a bachelor's degree and a doctorate in mathematics from Yale University.

He was a member of the Colorado Mountain Club, the Democratic Party of Boulder County, the Hemlock Society of Boulder and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boulder.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Narra Smith Cox of Madison, Wis., Jennifer Smith Prouty of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Sandra Smith Fitzgerald of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, John E. Smith of Wester Groves, Mo., and Louis Smith of Genesee; a sister, Narra Asher Phillips of Orinda, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Sherrill Smith.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boulder, which meets at the Masonic Hall on the corner of Pine Street and Broadway.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hospice of Boulder County, 2825 Marine St., Boulder, Colo. 80303-1079; the Hemlock Society of Boulder, P.O. Box 3636, Boulder, Colo. 80307-3636; the Gilbert Fund, in care of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boulder; or a charity of the donor's choice.

Crist Mortuary of Boulder is in charge of arrangements.

Geraldyne M. Bruce
Aug. 6, 1913 - Oct. 20, 1999

Geraldyne M. Bruce of Boulder died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at her home. She was 86.
She was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Ocheyedan, Iowa, to Walter Woodworth and Grace Gardner Woodworth. She married Mack Bruce on Oct. 12, 1937, in Ocheyedan. He died in 1993.

Mrs. Bruce moved to Boulder in 1993 from Sun City, Ariz.

She was a co-owner with her husband of Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She was president of her P.E.O. group; Tri-T, president of the Women's Club; member of First Methodist Church; worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star and established the Fort Dodge Art Gallery.

Survivors include a daughter, Jaci Cran of Westminster; and two grandchildren.

Double funeral services for her and her husband will be held Wednesday in Fort Dodge.

Crist Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Louise B. Johnson
Aug. 21, 1902 - Oct. 24, 1999

Louise B. Johnson of Boulder died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, in Boulder. She was 97.

She was born Aug. 21, 1902, in Columbia, Ala., to Edward Bowden and Noma McGriff Bowden. She married Arthur B. Pope in 1920 in Montgomery, Ala. He died in 1942. She married Lawrence Johnson in 1954 in St. Louis. He died 1963.

Mrs. Johnson moved to Boulder in 1995 from Indianapolis.

She graduated from Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga., and received a master's degree from the University of Denver. She did post-graduate work at the university.

She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Garfield of Boulder; and two sisters, Genevieve Cannon of Albany, Ga., and Noma Johnson of Camilla, Ga.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Pope Jr.

No services will be held.

Crist Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Don Gundel
Jan. 26, 1931 - Oct. 21, 1999

Don Gundel of Lafayette died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at home. He was 68.

He was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Emporia, Kan., to Harold Gundel and Anna Sorden Gundel. He was divorced.

Mr. Gundel was a graphic artist and enjoyed outdoor activities.

Survivors include a son, Tom Gundel of Broomfield; two daughters, Dawne Gundel and Susan Gundel, both of Grand Junction; and a sister, Jane Engel of Laurel, Mont.

Cremation has occurred.

Darrell Howe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mary 'Ann' Pazier
May 8, 1912 - Oct. 26, 1999

Mary "Ann" Pazier of Loveland and formerly of Boulder died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Loveland Good Samaritan Health Care Center. She was 87.
She was born May 8, 1912, in Carnegie, Pa., to Charles F. Hoag and Sarah Cavanaugh Hoag. She married Joseph Pazier on Nov. 28, 1942, in St. Albans, N.Y. He died Sept. 30, 1987.

Mrs. Pazier moved to Boulder in 1965 from New York and then to Loveland in 1971.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Loveland Elks Lodge, No. 1051.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph L. Pazier of Berthoud and William Pazier of Longmont; a daughter, Patricia Perretta of Lagrangeville, N.Y.; two sisters, Harriet Buono of Weirton, W.Va., and Patricia Engel of Augusta, Maine; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland.

Inurnment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave., Boulder.

Contributions may be sent to St. John's Catholic Church, 1730 W. 12th St., Loveland, Colo. 80537 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Shirley Ann Cismoski

July 30, 1942 - Oct. 25, 1999

Shirley Ann Cismoski of Broomfield died of cancer at home on Monday, Oct. 25, 1999. She was 57.
She was born July 30, 1942, in Galena, Ill., to Ralph M. Segert and Alverna M. Snyder Segert. She married David Robert Cismoski on June 22, 1963, in Berlin, Wis.

A graduate of Berlin High School in 1959, she graduated cum laude from Edgewood College of the Sacred Heart in Madison, Wis., in 1963. She earned a master's degree in educational administration in 1972 and a doctorate in educational administration in 1983 from the University of Wisconsin.

Mrs. Cismoski had taught first grade at St. Dennis Catholic School in Madison. She also worked for the Larimer County CETA Program and was the assistant budget director at Colorado State University. From 1991 until her retirement in 1999, she was the budget director at the University of Colorado at Denver.

She moved to Colorado in 1975.

Mrs. Cismoski was a member of The Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Pi Lambda Theta and Phi Delta Kappa. Before her retirement, she held administrative positions in the Society for College and University Planners.

She liked to swim, take long walks, read mystery books and travel.

Survivors include her husband of Broomfield; a brother, Thomas Segert of Fairview Heights, Ill.; two sons, David S. Cismoski of Fort Collins and Paul Andrew Cismoski of San Francisco; two daughters, Debra L. Miller of Thornton and Cheryl Anne Hadlock of Loveland; and six grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield.

A funeral service with a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at The Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 580 W. Third Ave. Drive, Broomfield. The Rev. Dennis Ryan will officiate.

Two memorials have been established. One benefits a women's scholarship program at CU-Denver. The other benefits the Dana Price Fish Foundation. Send contributions to the appropriate memorial, in care of Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10th Ave., Broomfield, Colo. 80020.

Nancy Mae Cummings
June 18, 1952 - Oct. 25, 1999

Nancy Mae Cummings of Boulder died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Boulder. The cause of death is under investigation. She was 47.

She was born June 18, 1952, in Boulder, to Rocco Moschetti and Elizabeth Onorato Moschetti. She married Bradley W. Cummings on Aug. 16, 1993, in Boulder. He died on Sept. 16, 1995.

She was a 1970 graduate of Boulder High School. She graduated from the University of Colorado in 1974.

She was a credit manager for Boulder Lumber Co. for 22 years.

Survivors include a companion, Travis Haggart; two brothers, Louie Moschetti and Roxy Moschetti, both of Boulder; and a sister, Clara Roberts of Boulder.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 4775 Cambridge St., Boulder. Services conclude at the church.

Dolores M. Wilson
July 3, 1933 - Oct. 26, 1999

Dolores M. Wilson of Louisville died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, in Louisville. She was 66.

She was born July 3, 1933, in Norristown, Pa., to Charles Huppman and Maude Fickes. She married Richard Wilson Dec. 3, 1976, in Louisville.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She moved to Louisville in 1971.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Huppman of Florida; a sister, Ruth Clough of New York; four sons, Walter Wilson of Thornton, Edward Wilson of Golden, Michael Wilson of Longmont and Kenneth Wilson of Northglenn; three daughters, Elizabeth Kreiete of Thornton, Victoria Culkin of Longmont and Madelynn McCowen of Louisville; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Darrell Howe Chapel, 10203 South Boulder Road in Lafayette.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the mortuary chapel.
