Pauline Towne
Sept. 25, 1923 - Aug. 31, 2000

Pauline Towne of Boulder died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at Terrace Heights Care Center in Boulder. She was 76.

She was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Manchester, N.H., to Joseph Bonin and Albertina Dussault Bonin. She married James Weeks in 1949 in Manchester. They were divorced. She married George Towne in 1974 in Boulder. He died in 1984.

Mrs. Towne was a homemaker and secretary at the Alumni Office of the University of Colorado in Boulder. She retired in 1984.

She moved to Boulder in 1961 from Ypsilanti, Mich.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Weeks of Boulder; and a son, Dana Weeks of Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Weeks.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2312 14th St., Boulder.

Crist Mortuary of Boulder is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Miller
July 10, 1937 - Sept. 9, 2000

Joyce Miller of Loveland, formerly of Boulder, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at home. She was 63.

The daughter of James C. Greer and Edna Garrett Greer, she was born July 10, 1937, in Nashville, Tenn. She married Frank C. Miller on Oct. 30, 1960, in Boulder.

Mrs. Miller held a variety of jobs at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland.

She moved to Loveland 17 years ago from Boulder.

Survivors include her parents of Boulder; her husband of Loveland; two daughters, Linda C. Miller-Hart of Boulder and Sallie J. Overs of Niwot; a brother, James C. Greer Jr. of Chimacum, Wash.; a sister, Carolynne Greer of Boulder; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland. The Rev. Steve Creel of Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont will officiate.

Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral home of Loveland is handling arrangements.

James H. 'Jim' Drotleff
Jan. 26, 1908 - Sept. 8, 2000

James H. "Jim" Drotleff of Longmont died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at home. He was 92.

Born Jan. 26, 1908, near Salem, Ohio, he was the son of Samuel Drotleff and Lucretia Pople Drotleff. He married Ruth Thompson on July 31, 1937, in Boulder.

Mr. Drotleff owned and operated a finance business in Denver.

He moved to Boulder with his family when he was 3, graduated from Boulder High School and lived in Denver before moving to Longmont.

Survivors include his wife of Longmont.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Drotleff and Clair Drotleff; and a sister, Ann Hinde.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Howe Mortuary in Longmont.

Cryptside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery, 439 S. Quebec St., Denver. The Rev. Dominic DeProfio will officiate.

Contributions may be made in his name in care of Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501

Hope Kingston
Aug. 25, 1975 - Sept. 11, 2000

Hope Kingston of Louisville, formerly of Boulder, died Monday of Hodgkin's Disease in Denver. She was 25.

She was born Aug. 25, 1975 in Casper, Wyo., the daughter of Tim and Mary Kingston. She moved to Boulder in 1988 and attended Southern Hills Junior High School. She graduated from Boulder High School in 1993.

Before her illness, she worked as a model in Paris.

Survivors include her parents of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Angela Kingston of Louisville and Anna Kingston of Cheyenne; and grandparents, Newton and Shirley Kingston of Laramie, Wyo.

A remembrance of her life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at her parents' home in Cheyenne, 620 E. 27th St.

In lieu of contributions, the family requests that people participate in a bone marrow donor drive in Cheyenne on Sept. 25. Call (307) 638-8885.

Ruth McClellan Selby
Aug. 9, 1920 - Sept. 5, 2000

Ruth McClellan Selby of Denver, formerly of Boulder County, died Sept. 5, 2000, at the Hospice of Metro Denver-City Park. She was 80.

The daughter of Richard P. Selby and Grace Buchman Selby, she was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Cleveland.

She was a research analyst for a U.S. Department of Defense intelligence agency during World War II, assistant director of the United Service Organization in Port Clinton, Ohio, was secretary to Nobel Prize winner Donald Arthur Glaser at the University of Michigan, administrative secretary to the dean of the business school at CU and a stenographer for the state of Colorado.

She received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's in fine arts and a master's in humanities from the University of Colorado.

She liked music and singing.

Survivors include a brother, Richard W. Selby of Sarasota, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Selby.

A memorial service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mountain View Friends meeting, 2280 S. Columbine, Denver.

Contributions may be made to the Diana Price Fish Foundation of Denver or the AFSC of Denver.

Robert LaTourrette
Jan. 18, 1917 - Sept. 11, 2000

Robert LaTourrette of Boulder died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000. He was 83.

He was born Jan. 18, 1917, in Ohio, to James LaTourrette and Anna C. Beller LaTourrette.

He married Neva Grace Glazner on June 14, 1941, in Carrollton, Ohio. She died July 12, 1997.

Mr. LaTourrette lived in El Paso, Texas, New Mexico and Boulder.

He was an engineer/test director for 36 years for the U.S. Army Ordnance, including 23 years at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

Mr. LaTourrette lived in El Paso, Texas, New Mexico and Boulder.

He was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in El Paso. Mr. LaTourrette enjoyed traveling, photography, skiing and fishing.

Survivors include his two sons, Bob LaTourrette of Santa Fe, N.M., and Steve LaTourrette of Boulder; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Miller and Dorothy Black.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Boulder.

Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Boulder County, 2825 Marine St., Boulder 80303.

Sue Colabello
Nov. 24, 1927 - Sept. 16, 2000

Sue Colabello of Wheat Ridge died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000. She was 72.

She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Longmont to Charles L. Dameron and Anna G. Price Dameron. She married Carmen Scarpella in 1946. They divorced. She married Pasquale Colabello in 1960. He died in 1994.

She was a homemaker and co-owner of Pasquale's Pizza in Louisville. She enjoyed cooking and animals.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Hagan of Golden; a son, Bradley Colabello of Longmont; two sisters, Naomi Minick of Grass Valley, Calif., and Charlene Bashor of Lafayette; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Ronald Dameron, John Price, Betty Truman, Madonna Yadelis and Violet Leacock.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette.

No memorial services are planned.

Richard J. Lang
Sept. 18, 1921 - Sept. 15, 2000

Richard J. Lang of Boulder died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Boulder Community Hospital. He was 78.

The son of Otto J. Lang and Mabel Johnson Lang, he was born Sept. 18, 1921, in South Bend, Ind. He married Dorothy B. Grunert on April 12, 1947, in South Bend.

He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946.

Mr. Lang moved to Boulder from South Bend in 1961. He worked as a design engineer at Rocky Flats, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He enjoyed art, playing golf and flower gardening.

Survivors include his wife of Boulder; two daughters, Kristien J. Hill of Denver and Johanna S. Lang of Boulder; and two grandsons.

A brother, Jack H. Lang, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 4215 Grinnell Ave., Boulder.

Contributions may be made in his name to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or to the Association for Community Living, 6897 Paiute Ave., Longmont, CO 80503.
