*** Dorothy Helena Pinkerton, 84, Grand Junction, died Jan. 29, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. Private services will take place at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mrs. Pinkerton was a retired riveter for Boeing Aircraft.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene; two sons, Alan of Frederick and Jewell Singer of Longmont; one stepson, Jerold Gray of Centennial; one stepdaughter, Bobbi Guthert of Bay City, Ore.; one sister, Bonnie Cunningham of Rockwall, Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

*** Patricia C. James, 84, Grand Junction, died Feb. 2, 2008, at her home.

Services will be at a later date.

Mrs. James was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Lynn; two sons, Bradley of Englewood and David of Taft, Calif.; one daughter, Lynn Ellen Holbrook of Fort Collins; one sister, Gayle Anderstrom of Vero Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

*** Robert E. Reed, 76, Fruita, died Feb. 2, 2008, in Craig.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Snell McLean Funeral Home in Fruita. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Fruita Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Reed was a plumber.

Survivors include his wife, Rena.

*** Ray Alvin Schiesswohl, 81, Grand Junction, died Feb. 1, 2008, at his home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Mr. Schiesswohl owned and operated Schiesswohl Oil Co. and worked as a real estate agent and appraiser at Schiesswohl Realty.

Survivors include two sons, Steven of Boulder and Scott of Evergreen; one daughter, Debra Kay Bailey of Grand Junction; and six grandchildren.

*** Bertie Sue Pigg, 69, Fruita, died Feb. 2, 2008, at Family Health West. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at Family Health West.

*** Kenneth Eugene Seeley Sr., 86, Grand Junction, died Feb. 1, 2008, at Family Health West Hospital. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Callahan Edfast Mortuary Chapel.

Mr. Seeley was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma E.; two sons, Kenneth Jr. of Grand Junction and Herb of Mack; four daughters, Janet Forsman and Lorraine Forsman, both of Fruita, Joyce Eiland of Illinois and Linda Seeley-Grimmett of Bloomington, Ind.; one brother, Ralph of Grand Junction; one sister, Margaret Steele of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

*** Edna Louise Lange, 84, Grand Junction, died Feb. 3, 2008, at Community Hospital.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include her husband Charles; three sons, Charles M., James Neil and William Larry, all of Grand Junction; one daughter, Jana Marie Dorlac; seven brothers and sisters; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Betha M. Gray Newport, 58, Grand Junction, died Feb. 4, 2008, at her home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, at Snell-McLean Funeral Home in Palisade. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, 3150 Road B.

Mrs. Newport was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband George; three sons, Kenneth Gray Jr. of Agra, Okla., Brian Gray of Crooked River Ranch, Okla., and Walter Gray of Grand Junction; one daughter, Velvadene Bohall of Grand Junction; five sisters, Lenora Herrmann of Grand Junction, Minnie McCracken of Olathe, Linda Hays of Elma, Wash., Wanda Bellew of Cory and Pamela Bates of Tulsa, Okla.; and 18 grandchildren.

*** Billye M. Revis, 77, Grand Junction, died Jan. 30, 2008, at Larchwood Inns.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Revis was a secretary.

Survivors include her husband John D. of Cuba, N.M.; two sons, Barry of Palisade and Brad of Grand Junction; one daughter, Cheryl Cason of Grand Junction; one brother, Max Tomlinson of Oklahoma; two sisters, Eileen Pierce of Oklahoma and Jacque Williamson of Canada; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Gene Rozelle, 76, Grand Junction, died Feb. 5, 2008, at his home.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today at Martin Mortuary Chapel. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the mortuary.

Mr. Rozelle was the voice of JUCO for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his wife Nell; one son, Rick of Grand Junction; one sister, Linda Martin of New Castle; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

*** Audrey Marie Wyers, 86, Grand Junction, died Feb. 4, 2008, at her home.

Cremation will take place.

Mrs. Wyers was hairdresser.

*** Rex B. Hurd, 91, Grand Junction, died Feb. 7, 2008, at Mantey Heights. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Martin Mortuary. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Las Animas, with burial to take place at 2 p.m. at the Fort Lyon National Cemetery.

He was a lumberyard manager.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; three sons, Alan of Las Alamos, N.M., Charles Sisk of Louisville and William Sisk of Broomfield; five daughters, Corliss Stroud of Columbus, Ohio, Candace Cotton of Chicago, Miriam Schaper of Englewood and Kate Hill and Elizabeth Hutton, both of Santa Rosa; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

*** Eric Lynn McCleary, 36, Montrose, died Jan. 26, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. No services are planned.

Survivors include three brothers, Rick and Ralph, both of Cedar Park, Texas, and Mike of Dove Creek; and six sisters, Cheryl Sloan of Decatur, Ill., Lori and Tina, both of Grand Junction, Darla Richmond of Montrose, Paula of Phoenix and Erica of Olathe.

*** Terry Gregorio Hernandez, 95, Grand Junction, died Feb. 6, 2008, at Mesa Manor. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at 1 p.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He worked for Corn Construction and Fries Packing House.

Survivors include three sons, Ben of Thornton, Paul of Pahrump, Nev., and Greg of Grand Junction; one daughter, Erlinda Lovato of Grand Junction; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

*** Michelle A. Koehn, 24, Cedaredge, died Feb. 8, 2008, at her home. A service will take place at 10:30 a.m. today at Mesa View Mennonite Church in Olathe. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. A funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Scott Mennonite Church in Scott City, Kan. Burial will be in the Scott Mennonite Cemetery in Scott City.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell; her grandparents, Calvin and MaryAnn Dirks of Paris, Texas, and Jim and MaryAnn Unruh of Scott City; her parents, Richard and Janell Dirks of Scott City; her brother, Brandon Dirks of Scott City; and her sister, Joni of Marienthal, Kan.

*** Billy McFadden, 74, Grand Junction, died Feb. 9, 2008, at Palisade Living Center. Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ, 2893 F Road.

Survivors include his wife, Joan McFadden-Spradling; five sons, Russell A. McFadden of California, Kevin McCurley, Vincent Horton and Mike McFadden, all of Grand Junction, and Byron Horton of American Fork, Utah; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

*** Dorothy Dee Breedlove, 87, Grand Junction, died Feb. 9, 2008, at Community Hospital. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary chapel.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Jay Don of Grand Junction, and Floyd Lee of Carthage, Texas; three daughters, Cathy S. Austin and Kay Donna Fitch, both of Grand Junction, and Janet Fay Poworski of Battlement Mesa; two brothers, Wayne Edmondson and Arthur Edmondson, both of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Barbara Cooksy of Hilo, Hawaii; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

*** Thomas P. DeBusk, 87, Cedaredge, died Feb. 10, 2008, at the Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Cedaredge with interment to follow at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Louise; one son, Jimmy M. of Flagstaff, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Tidwell of Franklin, Tenn.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Phyllis Marie Hicks, 84, Grand Junction, died Feb. 8, 2008, at her home. No services are planned.

She was a retired Grand Junction Regional Center technician.

Survivors include one son, Henry Joseph Boucher of Grand Junction; three daughters, LeeAnn Waters and Shirley McBride, both of Fruita, and Patricia Rigsby of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

*** Janice J. Leech, 68, Grand Junction, died Feb. 11, 2008, at her home. Services are pending with Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include two sons, Steve of Pueblo West and Joe of Grand Junction; one daughter, Susan Cesario of Salt Lake City; one brother, Jim Silzell of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Frances Parker of Kennewick, Wa.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Evelyn G. McKay, 90, Parachute, died Feb. 8, 2008, at Mesa Manor. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Snell McLean Funeral Home in Palisade. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Grand Valley Christian Church in Parachute with burial at Hulburt Russey Cemetery.

Mrs. McKay was a lodge owner in Marble.

Survivors include one son, Michael of Casper, Wyo.; one daughter, Evalee Gifford of Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Peggy J. Sreaves, 75, Cedaredge, died Feb. 10, 2008, at her home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at the Chapel of the Cross with private burial at the Cedaredge Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; two daughters, Jodena Urban of Cedaredge and Shara Draves of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Artie Lou Cox of Marionville, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

*** Daniel Crockett Allen, 80, Grand Junction, died Feb. 11, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Koinonia Church.

Mr. Allen was retired from Montgomery Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Steven Daniel of Mesa, Ariz., Leonard Curtis of Cimmaron and Michael Stanley of Grand Junction; two daughters, Sharlyn Wootten and Paula L. Sherrill, both of Grand Junction; four brothers, Weldon of Sonoma, Calif., Jim of Ely, Nev., Ray of Columbia, Miss., and Doug of Wilmar, Calif.; two sisters, Kay Koestner of Austin, Nev., and Louise Slade of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ted; two sons, Howard E. of Loma and Theodore E. Jr. of Fruita; two daughters, Kathy M. Williams of Fruita and Debra A. Downey of Downham Market, England; one brother, Leroy Force of Fruita; three sisters, Jean Savage of Ramona, Calif., Delores Downey of Fruita and Bernadine Sherman of Grand Junction; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

*** Raymond R. “Junior” Hume, 88, Grand Junction, died Feb. 10, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at Rangely Christian Church.Interment will be in Rangely Cemetery.

Mr. Hume owned Hume Distributing in Rangely.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; two sons, John and William, both of Rangely; two daughters, Fern Arnn and Janice Porter, both of Rangely; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

*** Ella May Rhodes, 81, Hotchkiss, died Jan. 30, 2008, in Hotchkiss. Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hotchkiss Elks Lodge 1807.

Mrs. Rhodes was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Wayne of Olathe, Steve of Hotchkiss and Tony of Long Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** William “Bill” Sumner, 82, Montrose, died Feb. 10, 2008, at Montrose Memorial Hospital. Services will take place at 1:30 Saturday at Montrose Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one son, Gary of Erie; two daughters, Karen Walchle of Ridgway and Cheryl Niehoff of Okinawa, Japan; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
