*** Ralph “Bud” Mantell, 75, Grand Junction, died Feb. 16, 2008, in Thornton. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at Clifton Christian Church.

Mr. Mantell was the director fo the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his wife, Joy C.; one son, Randy of Grand Junction; three daughters, April Nichols of Mesa and Debbie Axtel and Patty Simpson, both of Grand Junction; three sisters, Ann Hastings of Anacortes, Wash., Jeannie Diamond of San Diego and Millie Smiley of Thornton; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

*** Richard “Dick” Snider, 72, Grand Junction, died Feb. 18, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at Callahan Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; one son, Rodney of Grand Junction; two daughters, Lori Boyster of Temecula, Calif., and Leslie Brooks of Moorpark, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Graff of Corona, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

*** Becky Anne Wisecup, 44, Grand Junction, died Feb. 20, 2008, at Comfort Care Assistance Living. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ in Craig.

Mrs. Wisecup was a housekeeper.

Survivors include two sons, Sam and Ty, both of Oak Creek; her father, Everette Bobrer of Sedalia, Mich.; two brothers, Robbie Bobrer of Clifton and Shane Gilmore of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.

*** Richard Joseph Beachman, 86, Grand Junction, died Feb. 20, 2008, at his home. A rosary will be said at 5 p.m. Sunday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the mortuary with private inurnment at a later date.

Mr. Beachman was a retired patrol officer for the state of New York.

Survivors include his wife, June Mae; two sons, Thomas of Craig and John of Longmont; four daughters, Teresa Huck of Lyons, Janet Fishman of Oakton, Va., Nancy Fabian of Virginia Beach, Va., and Barbara Beachman of Nymboida, Australia; one brother, Robert of Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters, Esther Mae Griffith, Rosella Jorgensen and Emmie Worthington, all of Grand Junction; and 12 grandchildren.

*** Joyce Marian Esra, 83, Hotchkiss, died Feb. 20, 2008, at her home. Private services will take place at a later date.

Survivors include two sons, Roger of Albuquerque, N.M., and Richard of Hotchkiss; one daughter, Diane Esra-Miller of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Karl Gunter Metzner, 60, Grand Junction, died Feb. 21, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Private family services will take place.

Mr. Metzner was a city planner for Grand Junction.

Survivors include one daughter, Tania Settje of Grand Junction; his mother, Elisabeth Metzner of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Hano of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.

*** Zelma C. Morris, 89, Cedaredge, died Feb. 21, 2008, at her home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mesa View Mortuary. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church in Cedaredge with burial at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Bob of Cedaredge; one daughter, Anna Marie Doig of Gypsum; one sister, Jean Fischer of Dolores; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

*** Betty Mudge, 76, Grand Junction, died Feb. 22, 2008, at her home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Martin Mortuary chapel. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel with burial at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Mrs. Mudge was a homemaker and an employee of the phone company.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jacks of Grand Junction and Jeannie Nelms of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Billie Sullivan of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Jared Thompson, 57, Fruita, died Feb. 21, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fruita. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Thompson was a construction mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa “Teri Lee;” three sons, Brent of Caldwell, Idaho, Clinton of Louisville, Ky., and Ty of Fruita; three daughters, Jennifer August of Crestview, Fla., Emily Sherman of Meridan, Idaho, and Lori Lee Jensen of Grand Junction; two brothers, Deryl of Fruita and Neil of Stafford, Ariz.; five sisters, Merwyn Garbini of Tucson, Ariz., LaVee Mayberry of St. David, Ariz., Janell Wheeler of Skellytown, Texas, Sue Ann Thompson of Roswell, N.M., and Leevon Cox of Grand Junction; and 10 grandchildren.

*** William Wentworth Wells, 83, Grand Junction, died Feb. 20, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 3 p.m. today at Martin Mortuary.

Mr. Wells was an appraiser.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean; two sons, Daniel and Timothy; two daughters, Catherine and Karen; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

*** Roy Eugene Davis, 78, Olathe, died Feb. 21, 2008, at the Colorow Care Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Southern Baptist Church in Norwood. Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday. Burial will follow services at Norwood Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Terry of Olathe and Dennis of Norwood; one sister, Hallie Cornforth of Cedaredge; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

*** Deborah Lee Kennedy-Fleming, 54, Delta, died Feb. 21, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Al Fleming; two sons, Shawn M. Kennedy of Paradise, Texas, and Ryan P. Kennedy of Bridgeport, Texas; two brothers, Harry Baker “Skip” Eicholtz Jr. of Maryland and David Dishlacoff of New York; one sister, Diane Dalmy of Denver; and three grandchildren.

*** Richard C. Manchester, 65, Grand Junction, died Feb. 22, 2008, in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Services are pending.

Mr. Manchester owned and operated Fabricare Services.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; three sons, Rick of Payson, Ariz., Larry of Grand Junction and Tyler Yost of Seattle; two daughters, Tina Ward of Sand Point, Idaho, and Jamie Zimmerman of Grand Junction; his father, Bob Forrester of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Roma Perley of Sun City, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.

She was a registered nurse.

*** Frances M. Price, 77, Delta, died Feb. 23, 2008, at the Willow Tree Care Center. No services are planned at this time.

*** Maurice R. Wilson, 79, Olathe, died Feb. 23, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Delta with burial at Mesa View Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was a farmer.
