*** Gladys D. Moore, 85, Delta, died April 30, 2008, at Montrose Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. today at the Delta Taylor Funeral Service Chapel. Services will take place at 2 p.m. today at the Delta City Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, George; one son, John Hanning of Cuero, Texas; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

*** Olibama “Rose” Manzanares, 84, Loma, died May 1, 2008, at her home. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Mrs. Manzanares was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Ray of Hayden; four daughters, Madge Valdez of Fruita, Joyce Fundazuri of Loma, Irene Cordova of Salt Lake City and Elsie Richardson of Hayden; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

*** Warren Lee Jones, 69, of Grand Junction, died May 3, 2008, at his home. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Mr. Jones was a line foreman for Public Service Company of Colorado.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; one son, Ronald of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two daughters ,Kathleen Mohrar of Delta and Cynthia McCoy of Grand Junction; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

*** Hazel Donna Holden, 80, Delta, died May 2, 2008 at her home. No services are planned.

Mrs. Holden was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet of Casper, Wyo., and Susan of Cave Creek, Ariz.; one son, Robert of Arizona; one brother, Don King of Delta; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

*** George F. Milly, 70, Clifton, died May 3, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Mortuary.

Mr. Milly was a janitor.

*** Joe Lee Snow, 56, Eckert, died May 5, 2008, at Horizon Health Care Center. No services will take place.

Survivors include his parents, Ray M. and Marie Snow of Coll-bran; and two sisters, Jane A. Vandervelde of Cedaredge and Judy B. Kropetz of Page, Ariz.

*** Former Delta resident Mildred M. Beal, 90, Englewood, died Feb. 24, 2008, at the Cherry Hills Healthcare Center in Englewood. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mesa View Mortuary Chapel.

Mrs. Beal worked for the Delta County Independent as circulation manager for 25 years.

Survivors include one son, James of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Sharon Gammel of Centennial; one sister, Lucylle Means of Englewood; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Sandra Englen, 74, Grand Junction, died May 4, 2008, at Eagle Ridge Care Center. Private services will take place.

Mrs. Englen was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Charles “Jerry” of Grand Junction and Steven Glen Smith of Nevada; three daughters, Janet Marek, Diane Quin and Pamela Cates, all of Denver; one brother, Terry Honfeld of Missouri; one sister, Cheryl Honfeld of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Former Montrose resident David P. Glaser, 56, Gunnison, died May 4, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Private services will take place.

Survivors include one brother, Arthur of Delta; and one sister, Shirley Hatfield of Pennsylvania.

*** Ila Mae Haptonstall, 88, Eckert, died May 3, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Delta Taylor Funeral Service Chapel with interment to follow at Eckert Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald of Brighton and Jerry of Eckert; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

*** Michael D. Johnson, 58, Grand Junction, died April 30, 2008. Services have taken place.

Mr. Johnson was self-employed.

Survivors include his wife, Bambi; one son, Chris of Clearwater, Fla.; three brothers, Gary Johnson of Florence, Ariz., and Rick Hard and Scott Hard, both of Cincinnati; four sisters, Patsy Schill, Louise Simonson, Vicki Franklin and Jackie Runtz, all of Cincinnati; and one grandchild.

Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.

*** Roland Lee Kaiser, 76, Grand Junction, died May 5, 2008, at his home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Martin Mortuary. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary with graveside services to follow at Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Kaiser was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; one son, Roland Lee of Denver; three daughters, Sandra Kay Shaw of Meeker, Sharon Louise Gilbert of Rangely and Pamala Ann LeMay of Chandler, Ariz.; one brother, Marvin Kaiser of Aberdeen, S.D.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

*** Darrell Clark Niday, 60, Grand Junction, died May 3, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at 295 Holly Lane.

Mr. Niday retired from the United States Air Force.

Survivors include one son, Matthew Priser of Atlanta; one daughter, Shelly Priser of Mishauki, Ind.; his parents, Richard and Margaret Niday of Grand Junction; and two sisters, Pat Morse of Hotchkiss, and Shirley Channel of Richland, Washington.

*** William D. Pollard, 93, Grand Junction, died May 2, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Palisade Cemetery.

Mr. Pollard was a postal carrier.

Survivors include his wife, Emily; one son, Everett of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Mary Pollard, Vergilia Copenhauar of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Rowena Fermantez of Laie, Hawaii; two sisters, Lillian Bizer of Grand Junction and Mary Lee Barnes of Commerce City; 21 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.

*** Cora Smyth, 95, Grand Junction, died May 5, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Mrs. Smyth was a bookkeeper and life member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include three sons, James Bradley of Carlsbad, Calif., and John Bradley and Jerome Bradley, both of Grand Junction; one daughter, Joan Raser of Grand Junction; one sister, Jessie Brown of Denver; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

*** Donald J. Steinbach, 77, Cedaredge, died May 3, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Cedaredge.

Survivors include his wife. Lucille; two sons, Donald N. of Plano, Texas, and William J. of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Julie A. White of Cedaredge and Cathy Lynn Shelton of Auburn, Wash.; two sisters, Nila Sweer of Mindota, Ill., and Margaret M. Mueller of Peru, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa and Alicia, both of Paonia; her parents, Glen and Alice Logan of Paonia; one brother, Gary Logan of Naturita; four sisters, Patty Logan of Portland, Ore., Grace Farrell of Grand Junction, Rebecca Logan of Colorado Springs, and Veronica Rogers of Crawford; and one grandchild.
