Rosalina Misa

Nov. 13, 1921 - Aug. 9, 2000

Rosalina Misa of Longmont died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Longmont United Hospital. She was 78.

Born Nov. 13, 1921, in Italy, she was the daughter of Guiseppe and Maria (DelBello) Tess.

She married Edmund S. Misa on April 1, 1947, in Italy. The couple met while Mr. Misa was stationed in Italy following World War II. Mr. and Mrs. Misa came to the United States in 1949.

Mrs. Misa resided in Hicksville, N.Y., until 1987. While there, she was active in Sons and Daughters of Italy.

A homemaker and mother, Mrs. Misa worked for Sears and Roebuck Co. in Hicksville until her retirement in 1983.

She moved to Pennsylvania and then to Oregon in 1989 before settling in Longmont in 1995.

Active at church and in Bible studies, Mrs. Misa also loved to cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of Longmont; two sons, Alfred Misa of San Rafael, Calif., and Edward E. Misa and his wife Sandra of Longmont; two brothers; a sister; a granddaughter, Marci Clark and her husband Tad of Portland, Ore.; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Justin Clark.

Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory, with the family present to greet friends.

Cremation will follow visitation.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in the chapel at Rocky Mountain Christian Church, with the Rev. Ed McQueen officiating.

MOHAN, James, III

MOHAN, James, III, 71, of Longmont, died Aug. 14, 2000, at Longmont United Hospital.

THOMAS, Edna, 77, of Longmont, died Aug. 13, 2000, at her home.

Clayton Fuller Tidball

Aug. 15, 1912 - Aug. 11, 2000

Clayton Fuller Tidball of Longmont died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at a local care center. He was 87.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1912, to Clayton Fuller Tidball Sr. and Grace Louise (Gorman) Tidball in Greeley.

He graduated from high school in Cheyenne, Wyo., and went to work for Boeing Airlines in 1930.

One year later, he attended the University of Colorado, and then went to work for United Airlines, where he worked for 38 years.

On Dec. 8, 1944, he married Janet Gray in Denver.

After retirement he enjoyed traveling and fishing.

He was recently awarded a plaque for 20 years of service as a driver for Meals on Wheels.

He also volunteered at the senior center as a tax preparer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his wife Janet; a daughter, Ellen Dumelle and her husband Ed of Buffalo, Wyo.; a son, James Tidball of Oklahoma City; a brother, Gorman Tidball and his wife Helen of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Grace Monfort of Placerville, Calif., and Betty Collins and her husband Charles of Englewood; four grandchildren, Matthew Tidball of Oklahoma City, Stuart Tidball and his wife Crystal of Norman, Okla., Wendy Timmons and her husband Scott of Broomfield and Diane Kehm and her husband Alex of Vashon, Wash.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1500 9th Ave. in Longmont. The Rev. Michael J. Leite and the Rev. Ann Kear will officiate.

Services will conclude at the church, and private cremation services have been held.

No visitation is scheduled.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Meals on Wheels, in care of Lewellen Longmont Memorial Chapel, 503 Terry St.

WHITE, Danny L., 48, of Marble Hill, Mo., formerly of Longmont, passed away Aug. 13, 2000, at his home in Marble Hill.

ANDERSON, Wilma H.

ANDERSON, Wilma H., 93, of Longmont, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Berthoud Living Center, Berthoud. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at LifeBridge Christian Church, Longmont. The Rev. Rick Rusaw officiating. Interment at Foothills Gardens of Memory.

Nola Frances Bressler

Nov. 13, 1911 - Nov. 29, 2000

Nola Frances Bressler of Longmont died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Applewood Living Center in Longmont. She was 89.

She was born Nov. 13, 1911, to Baldwin "B." and Clara (Murray) Bane in Webster, Kan.

On Oct. 3, 1937, she married Evan Bressler in Stockton, Kan.

Mrs. Bressler was a homemaker. In 1938, she moved from Kansas to Colorado, then on to California in 1947. In 1989, she moved to Longmont.

Mrs. Bressler was a member of the Mountain View Presbyterian Church in Mountain View, Calif. She taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir.

She enjoyed her family, sewing, big band music and watching baseball and professional football on television.

Mrs. Bressler was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 9, 1993; three brothers, Lennie Bane, Evert Bane and Chester Bane; and a sister, Stella Gilliland.

She is survived by a daughter, Deanna L. Tomac and her husband Ed of Longmont; a sister, Veda Coppes and her husband Nick of Salina, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Louria Bane of Plainville, Kan., and Wanda Bane of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Sandra Lea Tomac of Glendale, Calif., and Wayne Tomac of Boulder; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 30, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, and again prior to the funeral service at Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. First St. in Stockton.

Interment will be at Stockton Cemetery in Stockton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the OUR Center of Longmont, in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont 80501.

BRIGGS, Edith Ellen

BRIGGS, Edith Ellen, 73, of Berthoud, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Berthoud Living Center.

M.C. Cleaver

Sept. 6, 1924 - Nov. 25, 2000

M.C. Cleaver of Longmont died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Longmont United Hospital. He was 76.

He was born Sept. 6, 1924, to Sylvester C. and Attie Leola (Robinson) Cleaver in Poteau, Okla.

He married Merle Griffith on Aug. 26, 1951, in VanBuren, Ark.

He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1968, and served in World War II. He retired in August 1968 after several years as the Navy recruiter in Sterling.

He worked as an auto mechanic in Sterling, and for 15 years at the Gunbarrel Amoco.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Sterling, and a member of Freewill Baptist Church.

He moved to Longmont in 1981 from Sterling.

He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Cleaver; and by six brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Merle; a son, Larry Cleaver and his wife Cindy of Erie; a grandaughter, Terri Cleaver of Guam; three great-grandchildren; and a stepgrandson.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, with Chaplain John Boysen of the VFW officiating. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post 2601, Longmont. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

David G. Cole

Sept. 9, 1950 - Nov. 26, 2000

David G. Cole of Boulder died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at his home. He was 50.

He was born Sept. 9, 1950, to Julian and Evelyn (Miller) Cole in Los Angeles.

In 1977, he received a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. In 1985, he received an engineering degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Mr. Cole moved to Boulder in the late 1970s. On Aug. 16, 1986, he married Beth Predhome.

Mr. Cole worked at Seagate Technologies in Longmont as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed cycling, hiking, skiing, camping, bird watching, baseball and gardening.

He also enjoyed playing with his kids and was a very devoted husband and father.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife of Boulder; a daughter, Brenda Cole of Boulder; a son, Raymond Cole of Boulder; his mother, Evelyn Cole of Santa Barbara; two brothers, Ben Cole of Los Angeles and Jeff Cole of Portland, Ore.; and a sister, Jennifer Cole of Oakland, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Community United Church of Christ Church, 2650 Table Mesa Drive in Boulder.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community United Church of Christ or Hospice of Boulder County, 2825 Marine St., Boulder 80303. All who are able are requested to please give blood donations.

Mildred H. Cole

July 15, 1914 - Nov. 27, 2000

Mildred H. Cole of Longmont died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was 86.

She was born July 15, 1914, to Walter and Ella Mae (Chesney) Hoover in Kingston, Pa.

On July 2, 1937, in Bloomsburg, Pa., she married Ivan M. Cole.

Mrs. Cole was a homemaker.

In 1975, she moved to Longmont from St. Louis.

She was a good cook, and was active in her church.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church.

Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Cole, on April 20, 1995; two brothers, Walter Hoover and Ed Hoover; and a sister, Margaret Beswick.

She is survived by a son, Russell Cole and his wife Bette of Longmont; a daughter, Margaret Cole of Colorado Springs; four grandchildren, Todd Cole and his wife Dana of Denver, Chantel Cole of Indiana, Tracy O'Bryan and her husband Mike of Loveland and David Cole and his wife Bambi of Lafayette; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont, with the Rev. Tom Beaman of Grace Evangelical Free Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Evangelical Free Church, in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont 80501.

CORDOVA, Victor

April 27, 1917 - Nov. 27, 2000

Victor Cordova of Dacono died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Dacono. He was 83.

He was born April 27, 1917, in Trinidad to Jacob and Catherine (Slafer) Cordova.

In 1940, he married Cordelia Romero in Longmont.

Mr. Cordova has lived in Lafayette off and on from 1923 to 1965. He then moved to Westminster, where he lived from 1965 to 1976, when he moved to Dacono.

He worked as a coal miner and construction worker.

He was a devoted father.

Enjoyed fishing, camping and being with his family.

Mr. Cordova was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Cordova; a brother, Manuel Cordova; and a sister, Cora Vigil.

He is survived by his wife, Cordelia Cordova of Dacono; seven sons, Albert Cordova and his wife Beatrice of Northglenn, Robert Cordova of Dacono, Jake Cordova and his wife Beverly of Thornton, Anthony Cordova and his wife Rose of Denver, Gilbert Cordova and his wife Annie of Denver, Dave Cordova of Denver and Alex Cordova and his wife Pat of Denver; six daughters, Victoria Romero and her husband Fred of Lafayette, Catherine Cordova of Dacono, Jeanette Cordova of Denver, Margaret Chavez and her husband Louie of Platteville, Annetta Cordova of Dacono and Cordilia Cordova-Garcia and her husband Luis of Platteville; 47 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 W. South Boulder Road in Lafayette, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. John Murphy officiating, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2450 S. Downing St., Denver 80210.
