Connie Madden, 68
Connie Madden, 68, passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 25, 2012, at Collier Hospice Center at Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge.
She was married to her high school sweetheart Larry since 1965. They moved from Long Island to Colorado in 1992 and to Evergreen in 1994. A son, Larry, and his wife, Janet, and their two sons, Dylan and Finn, live in Carbondale. Their daughter, Suzanne and her husband Glenn Dreiling, live in Highlands Ranch with their three children, Kassie, Brenden and Logan.
Earl E. Thaxton, 68
Earl E. Thaxton, 68, of Evergreen passed away May 24, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Earl was a retired research analyst for the Colorado General Assembly and also served in Vietnam for the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl (Lorenz) Thaxton; son Zachary and daughter Sara (Josh) Soderberg; grandson Casey Earl Soderberg; brother Richard (Margaret) Thaxton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, May 30, followed by interment at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Margaret “Pinky” Curran, 67, of Denver, formerly of Evergreen, died on May 12, 2012, in Denver.
She was preceded in death by husband Michael. She is survived by children Molly, Michael and Megan.
A funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4900 Montview Blvd. in Denver.

Dale Boucher, born in Augusta, Kan., saddled up for his final trail ride on May 16, 2012, at his beloved Pine Song Ranch in Conifer, with his immediate family by his side.
Shirley Mardelle Luretta Whitten Mauer, 80
Shirley Mardelle Luretta Whitten Mauer, 80, passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 14, 2012, at her home in Evergreen.
Wife to Elwin E. Mauer for 59 years, she was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Cedar Bluffs, Neb., the oldest of four daughters to William Wallace and Alta Whitten. She graduated from McCook High School and attended St Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Denver.

Arnold Harry Agre, 67, of Evergreen passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son Bret Agre; and daughter Kristen Agre.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at The Barn Chapel at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Lori Priegnitz
Lorene B. (Randolph) Priegnitz of Evergreen passed away at St. Anthony Hospital on April 9, 2012. Her death was caused by a massive stroke that occurred on April 7 while at home with her husband. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital but never regained consciousness.

Roy L. Womac passed away at Azura of Lakewood on March 28, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children Tamara Seamans (Dan) and Scott Womac (Seana); grandchildren Megan and Patrick, and their father, Micheal Huffaker, and Dan’s children, Derek, Dustin and Dylan.

Laura Nancy Kuehn Richard completed her baptismal journey at the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Medical Center in Santa Fe, N.M., on April 27 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on April 7.

Jean Shannon Kelly passed into the arms of Jesus on Aug. 8, 2012, while residing in Evergreen.
She was born in Alabama on Aug. 3, 1944, and graduated from Butler University in 1966.

Richard E. Bergdoll, 85, passed away to be with the Lord peacefully with his loving family by his side at Hospice Care of Boulder and Broomfield Counties on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, after a short battle with cancer.

Nancy Grimes passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 4 after a long battle with leukemia.
Elizabeth A. McGinley
Elizabeth A. McGinley was born July 27, 1933, in Omaha, Neb. She died Aug. 6, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Gertrude McGinley; brothers Dan and Tom McGinley; sisters-in-law Wanda McGinley and Norma McGinley; brother-in-law William Morrow; daughter Bridget; son Jesse; sister Aileen McGinley.
Ernest Virgil Hansberry, 80
Ernest Virgil Hansberry, 80, died peacefully on Aug. 10, 2012, at the Kroontje Health Care Center, Warm Hearth Village, in Blacksburg, Va. His former residence was in Evergreen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Lloyd E. Hansberry.
He is survived by his dear wife of 57 years, Jean Ann Morser Hansberry; daughter Janet and son-in-law Joel Donahue; and son Mitchell and daughter-in-law Susan Hansberry.
The family will hold a private memorial.

Kenneth Arthur ‘Bud’ Elmgreen, 90
Kenneth Arthur "Bud" Elmgreen, a VFW member, dedicated more than 25 years to and retired from Xcel. Someone who touched so many lives died in his Evergreen home on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at age 90.
Bud was born on Aug. 15, 1921, and was admired by many throughout his long life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his daughters, Patricia and Kathy, and son Brad Benton.
Dale Grover Reger
Dale Grover Reger of Johnstown passed away at McKee Medical Center in Loveland on Aug. 6, 2012. Pastor Dale (as he was lovingly known) was the longtime pastor of Conifer Community Church in Conifer.
Pastor Dale was born on May 3, 1934, to Luster and Ada Grover Reger. Dale had four brothers and one sister who all preceded him in death.
Scott Hendrickson
Scott Hendrickson was born May 23, 1950, to Robert and Shirley Hendrickson in Moline, Ill., and passed away on July 27, 2012.
He moved to Colorado in 1972, and had lived in the Aspen Park, Conifer and Buffalo Creek areas since then. He was a skilled contractor and carpenter, and he could fix anything. He also enjoyed jeeping, camping, fishing and everything else mountain living had to offer.
Scott is survived by his parents; brothers Mark, Jeff and Brad; sister Tracy; and children Levi and Lindsey.
A private memorial service was held on Aug. 4, 2012.
Josephine Helen Halderman
Josephine H. “Jo” Halderman, 91, mother, grandmother, artist, teacher and loving wife of Jack C. Halderman, died June 29, 2012, in Evergreen.
Born on May 23, 1921, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Josephine is survived by her two children, Cindy French of Evergreen and George Halderman of La Jolla, Calif. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Shawn Halderman of Littleton, Todd Halderman of Denver, Jeffrey French of Denver and Meghan French of Boulder.
Fay Belle Fink, 87
Fay Belle Fink entered into rest on June 30, 2012, in Evergreen. She was 87 years old.
Born in Idaho Springs, she was a resident there for 61 years. She also previously lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for seven years and in Clinton, Md., for 10 years.
Fay was a homemaker, U.S. Air Force wife and mother. She loved holiday cookouts, and Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays were her favorites. She also loved ceramics and crocheting during long winter nights in Alaska.
Fay was preceded in death by Ed Fink, her husband of 42 years.
Thelma Richardson Bailey, 101
Thelma Richardson Bailey of Evergreen died at the age of 101 on June 28, 2012, at Life Care Center of Evergreen.
Her parents were Galen A. Richardson and Mary Hocking.
Survivors include her son Galen Bailey and daughter-in-law Lisa Bailey, and grandsons Justin Bailey and Matthew Bailey.
