MARCEL R. BLANCHETTE

Mr. Blanchette, 54, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a welder. He also served in the Navy for six years.

Mr. Blanchette was born April 18, 1946, in Woburn, Mass., to Marcel and Bertha (Belanger) Blanchette, who are deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Marcel and Michael; a daughter, Susan Brooks; three brothers, Edward, Richard and Leon; a sister, Frances; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace." Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 619 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs 80903.

CLARA BELLE LaROCHE

Ms. LaRoche, 71, died Dec. 25, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a secretary in engineering and construction.

Ms. LaRoche was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Waller, Texas, to Lawrence and Ethel (Greenwood) Russell, who are deceased.

She is survived by two sons, Mark and Steve; a daughter Karen; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Russell; and two sisters, Grace Johnson and Vivian Campbell.

Services will be held at a later date in Waller. Burial will be at Kirby Chapel Cemetery, Waller. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

ANTHONY J. DUTCHER

Anthony, 15, died Jan. 1, 2001, in Florissant. He was a student at Palmer High School.

Anthony was born May 22, 1985, in Colorado Springs, to Charles H. Dutcher and Jennifer Lynn (Moffett) Vandressor.

He is survived by his parents.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Grace Fellowship Church, 6540 Templeton Gap Road. Private family burial is planned. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.

JOANNA SUE DUTCHER

Mrs. Dutcher, 58, died Jan. 1, 2001, in Florissant. She was a beautician and a nurse. She also worked at the County Store in Divide.

Mrs. Dutcher was born May 14, 1942, in Kansas City, Kan., to Bernard and Mary (Lake) Silvey, who are deceased. She was married in March 1964, to Carl E. Dutcher Jr., who is deceased.

She is survived by three sons, Charles, Ty and James; a brother, Dale Silvey; and a sister, Mildred. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Silvey.

CARL EUGENE DUTCHER JR.

Mr. Dutcher, 60, died Jan. 1, 2001, in Florissant. He was employed in civil service for 13 years, and also worked as a machinist. He was retired from the Army after 20 years of service.

Mr. Dutcher was born April 28, 1940, in Kansas City, Kan., to Carl Eugene Sr. and Thelma (Hill) Dutcher, who are deceased. He was married in March 1964, to JoAnna Sue Silvey, who is deceased.

WILLIAM D. LEONARD

Mr. Leonard, 79, died Jan. 10, 2001, at a local care center. He was a retired director of Addiction Recovery Programs, in Ca�on City. He also served in the Army.

Mr. Leonard was born July 11, 1921, in Cowan to William Douglas and Margaret (Tapey) Leonard, who are deceased. He was married April 19, 1993, to Sherry Dixon.

He is survived by his wife; a stepson, Thomas Landon Dixon; and one grandson.

Cremation with memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson-Andrews Chapel, 1449 S. 9th, Ca�on City, 81212. Burial will be held at a later date.

BRYAN J. CONNER

Mr. Conner, 19, died Jan. 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

Mr. Conner was born Jan. 6, 1982, in Denver, to Joseph A. Jr. and Cynthia (Hiatt) Conner.

He is survived by his parents; a sister, Danette; and his grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Florence Conner, Jeanne Hiatt and John Hiatt.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Life Church, 11025 Colorado Highway 83. Private inurnment is planned. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling arrangements.

ARCHIE N. "PAT" BENNETT

Mr. Bennett, 44, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a construction worker. He also served in the Army for 8 years.

Mr. Bennett was born Oct. 2, 1956, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Archie Eugene and Myrtle (Peterson) Bennett, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 3, 1977, to Laura Ann Schoolland.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Chris and Matt; a daughter, Mandy; two brothers, Bill and Don; and a sister Janet Adams.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cappadona's Family Service Center, 3133 N. El Paso St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Springs First Church of the Nazarene, McQueen Chapel, 4120 E. Fountain Blvd. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St, 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

MURIEL C. BURCH

Ms. Burch, 70, died Jan. 8, 2001, at a local care center. She was retired.

Ms. Burch was born July 24, 1930, in Borup, Minn., to Martin and Christella (Hilde) Halvorson, who are deceased.

She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Winans and Bradley D. Burch; seven daughters, Carol A. Hoiby, Linda S. Tessman, Nancy J. Alberston, Patricia R. Anderson, Lucinda Darnell, Dawn M. Burch and Jan M. Layton; a brother, Orlin Halvorson; a sister, Arlene Rehder; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 N. Circle Drive. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Garden of Angels Mausoleum, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

HELEN MARTHA (MEYERS) MYERS

Mrs. Myers, 95, died Jan 1, 2001, in Eugene, Ore. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Myers was born July 28, 1905, in Strongs Camp to Isadore and Minnie (Geoglien) Meyers, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 11, 1924, to James Schneider, who is deceased. She was then married April 19, 1945, to Harry Myers, who is deceased.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Schneider, James Schneider, and Jack Schneider; a daughter, Lorraine Phillips; a brother, Robert Meyers; a sister, Glenora Hobden; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Cecilia Schneider and Yvonne Bishop.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Major Family Funeral Home, 112 N. A St., Springfield, Ore., (541) 746-9667, is handling arrangements.

WESLEY PHILLIP GUENTHER

Mr. Guenther, 79, died Jan. 7, 2001, at a local care center. He was the owner of Pikes Peak Trailer Supply and was a rancher in North Dakota. He also served in the Navy for four years, achieving the rank of Mine Man, Second Class.

Mr. Guenther was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Dunn Center, N.D., to Ben and Velma (Meng) Guenther. He was married July 27, 1946, to Clarice Hammel.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ben; a daughter, June Grice; a brother, Darrell; two sisters, Ina Ferebee and Margery Zich; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Ronald; and a sister, Ione Ferebee.

Memorial services with full military honors will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Pikes Peak Post 4051, 430 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Cremation is planned with remains being scattered in the Pacific Ocean.

Veterans Administration, 3200 Wadsworth Blvd., Wheat Ridge, 444-0200, is handling arrangements.

ERNEST GRANT BATTLE JR.

Mr. Battle, 46, died Jan. 6, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a civil service telecommunication specialist at Fort Carson. He also served in the Air Force for four years.

Mr. Battle was born Aug. 2, 1954, in Washington, D.C., to Ernest Sr. and Lucy (Zachary) Battle. He was married Oct. 10, 1987, to Freda D. Greene.

He is survived by his wife; a brother, Murtour; and four sisters, Cordellia Harrell, Diana Flowers, Patricia Lisbon, and Mae Davis.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Road, 391- 1918. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Angelus Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., with Air Force honor guard. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
