Mrs. Stowe, 96, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Stowe was born Aug. 26, 1904, in Dayton, Ohio, to Raymond C. and Mary K. (Hale) Hahn, who are deceased. She was married Feb. 14, 1928, to Richard E. Stowe, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Nelson E.; a daughter, Nancy MacNicholas; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.

BLANCHE A. PEARL

Mrs. Pearl, 87, died Jan. 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Pearl was born May 25, 1913. She was married to William J. Pearl, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Richard; a daughter, Clara Martin; two sisters, Vida Foster and Nina Babcock; and six grandchildren.

Private family services have been held.

Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Service, 3825 Airport Road, 590-8960, handled arrangements.

MARTIN D. GLADEM

Mr. Gladem, 77, died Jan. 7, 2001, in Salina, Kan. He retired after 35 years as a certified public accountant and controller for Holly Sugar Corp. He also served in the Army for three years.

Mr. Gladem was born June 19, 1923, in Petersburg, Neb., to John H. and Mabel (Score) Gladem, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 16, 1951, to Irene T. Bygland.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, James D. and David G.; a daughter, DuAnn Peterson; a brother, Don; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 N. Circle Drive. Burial will be at Our Savior's Cemetery, Petersburg. Levander Funeral Home, 308 W. Marengo, Albion, Neb., (402) 395-2001, is handling arrangements.

TIMOTHY LEE DOOLEY

Mr. Dooley, 46, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 3, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a food-service worker at Goodwill Industries.

Mr. Dooley was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Colorado Springs to Lawrence Lee Dooley and Virginia Dooley. His father is deceased.

He is survived by his mother; two brothers, John and Richard; and a sister, Kathleen Quigley.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.

HARRY P. HALAZON

Mr. Halazon, 89, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired general foreman with Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Co. He also served in the Navy.

Mr. Halazon was born Oct. 3, 1911, in Milwaukee to Louis and Harriett (Campbell) Halazon, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 20, 1934, to Florence Marie Palmer, who is deceased.

He is survived by two sons, Tom and Don; a daughter, Jackie Montoya; a brother, Stan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, George; three sisters, Mae Bolton, Ann Harrington and Jeanette Halazon; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4444 Moonbeam Drive. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4444 Moonbeam Drive, Colorado Springs 80916.

GEORGE D. MORRIS

Mr. Morris, 75, died Jan. 6, 2001, at a local care center. He was a civil engineer and an owner of Lincoln DeVore Inc. He also served in the Army and Air Force for five years.

Mr. Morris was born July 6, 1925, in Manhattan, Kan., to George DeVore and Gertrude Frances (Srack) Morris, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 17, 1946, to Vivian Mae Lighter.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Edward M. and Richard N.; two daughters, Melinda S. Morris and Kate Mortensen; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Rose Gardens, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.

GLORIA MAE KUCHTA

Mrs. Kuchta, 75, died Jan. 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kuchta was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Akron, Ohio, to Robert and Ida (Weber) Ellis, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 11, 1953, to John Casmir Kuchta.

She is survived by her husband; a son, John M.; two daughters, Marcie Kuchta-Klodetsky and Sister Rosaria; a brother Richard Ellis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 477 Woodmen Road. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

NORVA A. (BRANDRUP) RYAN

Mrs. Ryan, 75, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 6, 2001, in Eau Claire, Wis. She was a printer.

Mrs. Ryan was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Eau Claire, to Norman and Iva (Heimstead) Brandrup, who are deceased.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane Zahorik, Christine Elliot and Shelley Holmen; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Stokes and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 775 First Ave., Eau Claire, (715) 832-3428. Private internment is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of giver's choice.

MYRA L. ORIN

Mrs. Orin, 86, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired postmaster and rural carrier.

Mrs. Orin was born Sept. 17, 1914, in Elbert, to James and Jessie (Wright) Knight, who are deceased. She was married May 4, 1934, to Maurice Edger Orin, who is deceased.

She is survived by two daughters, Jayne Richardson and Joyce Arnold; a brother, Mervin Knight; a sister, June McConnell; seven grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elbert Cemetery, Elbert. Burial will be at Elbert Cemetery.

PAUL JOHN REIMER

Mr. Reimer, 76, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Dec. 28, 2000, in Sun City, Ariz., as a result of heart attack. He was a home builder.

Mr. Reimer was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, to Catherine Friesen and Peter B. Reimer, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 8, 1946, to Alvina Kliewer.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Curtis; two daughters, Kathleen Brenner and Karen Montalvo; four brothers, Frank, Eric, Carl and Peter; three sisters, Amanda Reimer, Arlie Roberts and Henrietta Reimer; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Evangelical Free Church, 820 N. 30th St. Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, (623) 933-0161, is handling arrangements.

ERNEST I. "ERNIE" McCARTNEY

Mr. McCartney, 69, died Jan. 5, 2001, at a local care center as a result of cancer. He was a retired truck driver for Rio Grande and DC Trucking and Roadway Express. He also served in the Air Force for four years.

Mr. McCartney was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Ca�on City, to William E. McCartney and Lucy Arnold, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 26, 1975, to Ella M. Christensen.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Joe Lujan, Eric Lujan, Robert Lujan and Kory Richardson; two daughters, Tamella Fister and Crystal McCartney; and 15 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Wilson-Andrews Funeral Home, 1449 S. 9th, Ca�on City, (719) 275-3372.

CORRECTION

Due to incorrect information provided to the Gazette, the obituary for Kathy D. Hambley printed in Jan. 8 edition was incorrect. Mrs. Hambley was born Feb. 21, 1943. She is survived by a daughter, Kresta Spencer.

DBERTA R. HOPPES

Mrs. Hoppes, 81, died Jan. 7, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was retired.

Mrs. Hoppes was born Aug. 4, 1919, in Stockton, Kan., to D. and Marvel (Phillips) Johnston, who are deceased. She was married to Rolland Hoppes, who is deceased.

She is survived by four sons, David Hoppes, Dwayne Hoppes, Phil Pettay and Michael Brennan; three daughters, Rhonda Brennan, Donna Pettay and Aimee Hoppes; a brother, William Johnston; a sister, Evadith; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, 120 East Lincoln Ave, Medicine Lodge, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge. Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.
