GLENN CARL WILSON

Mr. Wilson, 49, died July 4, 2001, at a local hospice. He was a bricklayer and owner of Monument Masonry since 1991.

Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 24, 1952, in Duluth, Minn., to Carl A. and Shirley Wilson. His father is deceased. He was married Sept. 1, 1979, to Sara Lyn Vanderwoude.

He is survived by his mother; his wife; two daughters; a brother, Donald Wilson; and two sisters, Wendy Blasingame and Debra Burrows.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Rd. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Living Word Community Church, 532 Colorado Ave., Calhan. Friends are welcome from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at 605 Hackberry Drive, Security. Memorial Gardens is handling arrangements.

RELLA "TERRY" SMITH

Mrs. Smith, 87, died July 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She retired as an OB-GYN nurse at St. Francis Hospital and Air Force Academy Hospital and also was head of medical records at Air Force Academy Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 23, 1913, in Boston to Arthur C. Erisman and Rella Wynn (Reid) Erisman, who are deceased. She was married Dec. 24, 1955, to Edward W. Smith, who is deceased.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Rice and Earl Goecker; four daughters, Rosemary Campbell, Robyn Rice, Kathy Golding-McCormack and Win Smith; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to March of Dimes, 228 N. Cascade Ave., Suite 205, Colorado Springs, 80903 and to the American Heart Association of Colorado, 619 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs 80903.

JANET SUE (WORMSLEY) EIDE

Mrs. Eide, 40, died July 4, 2001, of leukemia at her home in Colorado Springs. She was an education assistant at Sunrise Elementary School.

Mrs. Eide was born June 24, 1961, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to James and Julea Wormsley. She was married June 29, 1980, to James Eide.

She is survived by her parents; her husband; two sons, Eric and Edward; two daughters, Sarah and Stephanie; a brother, Jason; and a sister, Jaleen Nowell.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 720 Crestline Drive. Cremation is planned. Colorado Springs Mortuary & Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling arrangements.

BRENDA MICHELLE DAY WHITLOCK

Mrs. Whitlock, 36, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a police officer and member of the SWAT team and bomb squad.

Mrs. Whitlock was born April 26, 1965, in Dunkirk, N.Y., to Bruce Day and Barbara Rollings. She was married July 26, 1996, to David D. Whitlock.

She is survived by her parents; her husband; a sister, Melissa Lozon; and a maternal grandmother, Margaret Rollings. She was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Day.

Private services were held. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, handled arrangements.

TIMAIO GAGAU

Mr. Gagau, 54, died June 26, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a supervisor of Solid Waste in the American Samoa Government.

Mr. Gagau was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Pago Pago, American Samoa, to Taealii Gagau and Fagaee Velio, who are deceased. He was married May 5, 1968, to Kalala Silivelio.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Timaio Jr., Pagaloa and Timaio; seven daughters, Luina Tuiava, Laura Laulu, Cindy Hunkin, Luana Moana, Iaeli Talapu, Aleka Kahakai and Milovale; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial is planned in American Samoa. Pikes Peak Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

RICARGE R. WILLIAMS

Mr. Williams, 32, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was an electrician.

Mr. Williams was born Jan. 8, 1969, in Chicago to Roy E. Williams, who is deceased, and Willie Stallworte. He was married to Angela Carruthers.

He is survived by his mother; his wife; a son, Parrish; a stepson, Morris Carruthers; two daughters, Jazzmine and Deja; and a brother, Roy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Colorado Springs Mortuary & Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144. Colorado Springs Mortuary & Cremation Services is handling arrangements.

ROBERT F. SMITH

Mr. Smith, 82, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He served in the army in World War II. He was self-employed.

Mr. Smith was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Benson, Minn. to Walter Smith and Rosie Hamner, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 7, 1945, to Dorothy J. Johnson.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert S.; three daughters, Gloria J. Zaucha, Margaret A. Carter and Katherine D. Zimmerman; a sister, Irena Canon; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Tjosaas.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Burial is planned. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, is handling arrangements.

RETIRED COL. CHARLES R. HILL

Col. Hill, 83, died July 3, 2001, at a local hospital. He served in the Army from 1936 to 1972. He served in World War II and Vietnam.

Col. Hill was born Oct. 17, 1917, in San Francisco to Charles Russell Hill-Jefferies and Alma Ruby Monroe, who are deceased. He was married May 29, 1942, to Elizabeth Cook.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, David A., Charles R., J. Douglas, Daniel C. and Thomas E.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Cox.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. today at Liberty Heights, Academy Lounge, 12105 Ambassador Drive. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Old Glory Columbarium, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

LOIS E. NICHOLAS

Mrs. Nicholas, 81, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper.

Mrs. Nicholas was born July 14, 1919, in Nampa, Idaho, to Leo Steenesma and Alice Furhmann, who are deceased. She was married to David Voake, who is deceased. She then was married June 23, 1969, to Kirby I. Nicholas.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Robert Voake and Tom Voake; a daughter, Bette Horst; four stepchildren; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Steenesma.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Lehmberg Chapel, 420 N. Nevada Ave. Inurnment will be at Foothills Garden of Memory Cemetery, Longmont. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

JOHN R. SHINER

Mr. Shiner, 56, died July 1, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He worked at Lockheed Martin and served in the Army for 20 years.

Mr. Shiner was born Sept. 22, 1944, in Colorado Springs to William and Merna (Gerehe) Shiner. His father is deceased. He was married to Darlene Kaiser, who is deceased.

He is survived by a son, John; a daughter, Teresa Valdez; his mother; a brother, Billy; two sisters, Nancy and Debbie; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906, is handling arrangements.

LOUETTA M. (GOODBAR) HARTMAN

Mrs. Hartman, 93, a former Colorado Springs resident, died July 3, 2001, in Fort Collins. She was a homemaker and had worked several years for Mountain Bell.

Mrs. Hartman was born Jan. 30, 1908, in Jamesport, Mo., to John and Lora (McClure) Goodbar, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 5, 1927, to James D. Hartman, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, James D.; a daughter, Harriet Lemesany; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Reager Funeral Home & Crematory, 1530 Riverside Ave., Fort Collins, (970) 482-2425, handled arrangements.

ALEXYS NICHOLE CRADDOCK

Alexys, infant daughter of Christopher Craddock and Jennifer Rice, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

Alexys was born July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

She is survived by her parents and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

FLORENCE D. BAKER

Mrs. Baker, 83, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Baker was born June 8, 1918, in Gove, Kan., to Leonard and Dorothy (Thomas) Shaw, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 3, 1968, to Melvin C. Baker, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Charles Leonard Hannaford; a daughter, Arvada Stamps; two brothers, Melvin Shaw and Calvin Shaw; a sister, Treva Shaw; two grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Graveside services will be at Gove Cemetery, Gove.

Mr. Trees, 45, died July 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was disabled.

Mr. Trees was born Oct. 12, 1955, in Charles City, Iowa, to Clyde M. and Marlys J. (Fredericks) Trees.

He is survived by his parents and a brother, Terry Edward.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.
