WILLIAM R. BOOTS

Mr. Boots, 84, died March 29, 2001, in Falcon. He was an architect. He served in the Army for four years and received the Purple Heart Award.

Mr. Boots was born Dec. 23, 1916, in Retta Island, Fla., to William Boots and Maggie Morgan, who are deceased. He was married March 24, 1946, to Grace Fairfield Southwick.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, William R. and Lawrence D.; a brother, Virgil; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by several brothers, including Roy, and several sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Highway Baptist Church, 11095 Eggar Drive, Falcon. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highway Baptist Church, 11095 Eggar Drive, Falcon 80831.

PALMER D. ENGLE

Mr. Engle, 87, died March 31, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired general contractor, rock collector, jewelry maker, inventor, reader and writer. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and attended Colorado College for one year. He was a World War II naval veteran and a VFW Post 4051 member.

Mr. Engle was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Madeline, Calif., to William and Sevilla (Schafter) Engle, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 1, 1940, to Charlotte A. Fitzjarrell, who is deceased.

He is survived by a son, David; three daughters, Dian Brennan, Cheryl Rutherford and Barbara Elston; a brother, Harlan; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Silas, and a sister, Violet Linton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

EVELYN E. REIMER

Mrs. Reimer, 95, died April 1, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker and teacher in Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

Mrs. Reimer was born Dec. 21, 1905, in Pottawattamie County. She was married in 1928 to Elmer W. Reimer, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Gary Boyd; a daughter-in-law, Lynette H.; three grandchildren, Ruanne Ewing, Ronna Reimer and Robin Reimer; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Walnut, Iowa. Burial will be at Walnut Cemetery, Walnut. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs 80907.

LARRY WAYNE BERRY

Mr. Berry, 52, died March 31, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He worked in construction.

Mr. Berry was born Jan. 11, 1949, in Sinton, Texas, to Herbert and Frances Berry.

He is survived by a son, Talon; his parents; a brother, Darren; a sister, Robben Nemec; his best friend, Janie Broussard; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Memorial Bethel Praise Center, 1429 McArthur Ave. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling arrangements.

STANLEY C. PAPPAS

Mr. Pappas, 71, died March 31, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He retired from teaching in 1982 after 24 years. He served in the Army and in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Pappas was born March 8, 1930, in Denver to Christ and Margaret (Viglione) Pappas, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 22, 1959, to Inger J. Kleven.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Chris; a daughter, Ranae Julien; a son-in-law, Andrew Julien; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Angelos.

A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 Carefree Circle. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. After the Mass, a graveside inurnment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

BONNIE L. BOARDMAN

Mrs. Boardman, 89, died April 1, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker and teacher.

Mrs. Boardman was born Aug. 14, 1911, in Olustee, Okla., to Charles C. and Ida E. (West) Conway, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 26, 1934, to Marcellus C. Boardman, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Charles R.; two daughters, Bonnie S. Decker and Marcella L. Sears; a sister, Jewel Lunsford; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fountain Valley Baptist Church, 500 Alabama Ave., Fountain. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, 757 S. Santa Fe Ave., Fountain. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906, is handling arrangements.

DAVID J. "D.J." LETCHER

Mr. Letcher, 45, died April 1, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a self-employed furniture mover and served in the Army for three years.

Mr. Letcher was born Oct. 17, 1955, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Dave and Ethel Letcher, who are deceased. He was married March 31, 2001, to Barbara Fleege.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Madelon Smith; and a brother, Garry Hendricks.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Living Hope Church, 2456 Montebello Square Drive. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

JOHN L. PATTERSON

Mr. Patterson, 56, died March 27, 2001, in Calhan. He was a pit boss at the Double Eagle Casino in Cripple Creek.

Mr. Patterson was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Souris, N.D., to Leonard Vern and Mitilda Rose Wilkes. His father is deceased. He was married Jan. 5, 1970, to Sharon Earls.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Shane; his mother; two brothers, Daryl and Eddie; and a sister, Sandy Daughtery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hapi.

No services are planned. A private family inurnment will be at a later date. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling arrangements.

NELLIE MAE JONES

Mrs. Jones, 76, died March 28, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She retired as a food service worker from the deaf and blind school.

Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Ardmore, Okla., to I.T. and Charles Buns, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 25, 1942, in Abeline, Texas, to Daniel Jones Sr., who is deceased.

She is survived by three daughters, Dolores De Graffe, of Colorado Springs, Katherine Theard, of Colorado Springs, and Linda Kay Bell, of Aurora; special granddaughter, L'abri, of Fort Hayes, Kan.; a sister, Maxine Hardwick, of Compton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Stanley, Tommy Ray and Daniel Jr.; and a daughter, Patricia.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Road, 391-1918. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 617 E. Fountain Blvd. After the funeral service, a reception will be at Hillside Community Center, 925 S. Institute St. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

MARIE MASSEY

Mrs. Massey, 87, died March 30, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was retired.

Mrs. Massey was born March 12, 1914, in Manitou, Okla., to Dennis C. and Martha H. (Schmidt) Fryer, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 30, 1938, to Eugene M. Massey, who is deceased.

She is survived by two brothers, Alfred Fryer and Lee Fryer; her twin sister, Tillie Dawson; and two sisters, Mertie Jisa and Gladys Kennedy. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lynn E. Fryer, J.C. Fryer and Albert S. Fryer; and two sisters, Florence Hoobler and Flora Fryer.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. No local funeral services are planned. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello, Idaho.

LELAND K. RIOTH

Mr. Rioth, 21, died March 31, 2001, in Colorado Springs as a result of cancer. He was a graduate of Air Academy High School and an Eagle Scout.

Mr. Rioth was born Sept. 6, 1979, in Colorado Springs, to Lenard and Lynn (Baumgarten) Rioth.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Matt; his grandparents, Lawrence and Lucille Rioth; his grandmother, Helen Pessillo; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 2655 Briargate Blvd. Inurnment will be private. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

ADAM S. WIECZOREK

Mr. Wieczorek, 69, died March 29, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a machinist in plastics and served in the Army for two years.

Mr. Wieczorek was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Chicago, to Otto and Theresa (Katwasinski) Wieczorek, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 4, 1967, to Sandra M. Anderson.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Carolyn Hellberg, Joy Hamilton and Marie Franchi; a brother, Leonard "Lenny"; two sisters, Virginia "Virg" Garm and Mildred "Millie" Lascola; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe, and a sister, Evelyn.

A private local service was held. Other services will be in Chicago. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.
