CONIGLIARO
Mary R. Conigliaro, age 86, formerly of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at the Maefair Convalescent Center, Trumbull, after a long illness. Mary was the devoted wife of 65 years to the late Thomas Conigliaro. Mrs. Conigliaro was born in Carbondale, Pa., on June 1, 1916, daughter of the late Anthony and Diega Failla Cino, and had been a Shelton resident since 1967. She was employed as an assembler at General Datacomm in Danbury for more than 10 years until her retirement in 1981. Mrs. Conigliaro also helped her husband, Tom, in the daily operation of Conigliaro Photo Studios in Bridgeport. Mary was very blessed by God with the gift of being a home seamstress, sewing many things for her family for enjoyment. Mary was the beloved mother of Samuel Conigliaro and his wife, Laura, Grace Cribbins and her husband, Thomas, all of Shelton, and Josephine Visciglia and her husband, Ronald, of Fairfield. She was the sister of Josephine Pisano of Orlando, Fla., Jenny Cutrufello of Stratford, and Caroline Acquista of Bridgeport. She also leaves seven loving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Cino; and a grandson, Ronald Visciglia. Friends may greet the family on Monday at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Her funeral will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Entombment will be in St. Michael Cemetery Mausoleum, Stratford.

TAYLOR
Elder Lillie Mae Taylor, age 81, of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Tifton, Ga., to the late Joseph and Charlie Mae Reese Hughley, Lillie Mae had been a resident of this city since 1948. She was an ordained Missionary, Evangelist and Elder of Full Pentecostal COGIC under the leadership of Bishop T.W. Plummer. She was sent to Louisville, Ky., where she founded and served as pastor of a church for nine years. Her health began to fail and she moved back to Bridgeport and served as a member of the Minister`s Board and as (honorary) Church Mother. Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Turner of Bridgeport, and Mae Johnson of Texas ; two brothers, Charley Hughley of Kentucky, and Roosevelt Hughley of Michigan; five sisters: Sarah, Josephine, Kandis, Mary Frances and Christine, all of Kentucky; five grandchildren: Freddie and his wife, Beverly, of Bridgeport, and Carlton, Lynn and Stacey, all of Florida; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, mainly her church family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at 8 p.m. at Full Gospel COGIC, 36 Beechwood Avenue, with Bishop T. Walter Plummer, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain Grove Cemetery, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Morton`s Mortuary Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, is in charge of arrangements.

GINTANT
Marion J. Andruski Gintant of Stratford, beloved wife of Walter C. Gintant, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2002. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Walter, are a son, Dr. Gary A. Gintant and his wife, Maryann, of Illinois; two daughters, Karen Gintant of Stratford, and Lynn Marie Gintant of Bridgeport; two granddaughters, Laura and Alyssa. All services and burial were held privately. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport, (on the Trumbull line), were entrusted with arrangements.

ERRICO
Evelyn C. Errico, age 87, of Shelton, entered into rest on Friday, November 29, 2002, at Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton after a long illness. She was the devoted wife of Frank James Errico. Mrs. Errico was born in Bridgeport, on March 11, 1915, daughter of the late Ricardo and Mary Campagna, and was a Shelton resident since 1963. She previously lived in Stratford. She was the beloved mother of Frank Errico and his wife, Joy, of Bethlehem, and Virginia Lindberg and her husband, Roy, of Williamsville, N.Y. She is also survived by three loving granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter Lacchini; a sister, Violet Coventry; and her stepfather, Anthony Lacchini. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton, on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Burial will follow at Long Hill Cemetery in Trumbull.

DE PROFIO
Joseph W. DeProfio Jr., age 48, of Mt. Jackson, Va., died on Monday, November 25, 2002, in Mt. Jackson. Born in Bridgeport, he was a Washington , D.C. and Virginia resident for the past 20 years. He was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Marie (Mandell) DeProfio. Survivors include his beloved family: two sisters, Carol Peolka and her husband, Steven, of Greensburg, Pa., and Jomarie Peolka and her husband, John, of Orange; his brother, Bill DeProfio and his wife, Sharon, of Derby; his companion Leigh Snell of Mt. Jackson; his companion`s mother, Ann Snell; three nieces; and four nephews. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. Entombment will be in St. Michael Chapel Mausoleum. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Connecticut, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-3272. The Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, has been entrusted with his arrangements.

FARKAS
Elizabeth I. Farkas, age 93, of Bridgeport, widow of the late Jeno Farkas, died on Friday, November 29, 2002, at St. Vincent`s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mrs. Farkas was born in Hungary, and had been an area resident since 1956. Survivors include two beloved sons, Eugene J. Farkas and his wife, Veronica, of Fairfield, and Zoltan S. Farkas of Fairfield; a daughter, Sue Penzes and her husband, William, of Maryland; five grandchildren, Peter, Steven and Shannon Farkas, Billy Penzes and Suzanne Coyle; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center. Interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery. GMINSKI
Rosalie Mayeran Gminski, age 88, beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Gminski Sr. of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2002, at the Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. Mrs. Gminski was born in Bridgeport, on June 6, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Zelinsky Mayeran. She was employed as a seamstress for the Seaside Blouse Co. for more than 25 years, and was also an avid bowler. Mrs. Gminski is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Gminski Jr. and his wife, Kirsten, of Charlotte, N.C., and Thomas C. Gminski of North Providence, R.I.; one daughter, Karen F. Gminski of Monroe; two grandsons, Shawn Gminski and his wife, Elizabeth, and Michael Gminski and his wife, Stacey; two great-grandchildren, Felecia Krystyna Gminski, and Noah Gminski; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, William and John Mayeran; one sister Felecia Karbowicz; and her grandson, Terry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at 9 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2189 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph`s of Stratford Church with the Rev. Anthony D. Kopka officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph`s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, December 2, 2002, from 4 to 6 p.m.

MITCHELL
Patricia Ann Mitchell, age 58, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2002, at the Bridgeport Health Care Center. Patricia was born in Portland, Maine, on June 16, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Burton and Katherine Gilmore Mitchell. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Kimberly Stangel of Bridgeport; three brothers, Robert Gilmore of Shelton, David Mitchell of Stratford, and Burton Mitchell of Bridgeport; two sisters, Sylvia Terry of Norwalk, and Coralie Anderson of Stratford; seven grandchildren: Joseph, Arthur, Corey, Kameron, Jon, Jasmine and Jayla; her foster daughter, Helen; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her best friend, Linda Jordan. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Theodore and John Mitchell. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2189 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, on Sunday (TODAY), from 3 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Marjorie Nunes officiating.

BROWN
Catherine G. Brown, age 61, of Stratford, died on Friday, November 29, 2002, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Passaic, N.J., Catherine had been a resident of Stratford for the past five years. Prior to that she lived in Patterson, N.J. for about 15 years. She was a nurse`s assistant with 25 years of service at the Passaic County Preakness Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Alexina and her husband, Joe Person, of Stratford; a brother, Bruce Nunnery of Newark, N.J.; a sister, Geneveve Vaughn of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Vander Thompson, Jasmine and Geoffrey Person; and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 5 p.m. at Morton`s Mortuary Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, with the Rev. James F. Morton III officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

HOSLER
Merle Wheeler Hosler, age 87, of Sorrento, Fla., died on Thursday, November 28, 2002, in Sorrento. He was born in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and was a toolmaker for Sargents in New Haven. He was a veteran of the National Guard in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and a member of AmVets Post 1992 in Tavares, Fla. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth M. Hosler Sr. of Sorrento, and James Q. Hosler of West Haven; three daughters, Susan E. Berger of Longwood, Fla., Donna Main of Wallingford, and Linda L. Micalizzi of Boca Raton, Fla.; two brothers, Melvin Hosler of Chambersburg, Pa., and Fred Hosler of New Cumberland, Pa.; four sisters, Laura Becker of Camp Hill, Pa., Ada Kuhns of Lewistown, Pa., Jane Penley of El Paso, Texas , and Marlene Billman of Carlisle, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services are private. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Hospice of Lake and Sumter, 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. The Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, Mount Dora, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
