George M. Byrnes
CROMWELL -- George M. Byrnes, 84, of Cromwell, husband of the late Gertrude F. Byrnes, died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at Middlesex Hospital.
Born in Cromwell, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Nellie (Costello) Byrnes. Mr. Byrnes was a lifelong Cromwell resident and was an Army veteran of World War II. He received his honorary high school diploma from Middletown High School, being a World War II veteran. Mr. Byrnes had been employed by A.N. Pierson Inc., the Town of Cromwell as a building inspector and Willows Flower Shoppe, Cromwell. As a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, he was a member of the Church council, the Church choir and a liturgical deacon. He was a member of Carlson Sjovall Post No. 105, American Legion, where he was a past State vice commander. He was also a charter member of the Cromwell Lions Club; the Kiwanis and Washington Lodge No. 81 AF and AM; the Cromwell Senior Club; the Senior Heart Warmers Chorus; the VFW; and an active member of Middlesex Hospital.
He is survived by one son, Gary M. Byrnes of Mukilteo, Wash.; one daughter, Gail P. Byrnes of Wallingford; and one sister, Marguerite E. Davis of Meriden. He was predeceased by one brother, Henry J. Byrnes; and four sisters, Helene Kelly, Kathleen Mutch, Julie Goodine and Dorothy Zigmont.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Middletown, Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. R. Maureen Hawksley, pastor, will officiate and interment will be in Rose Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Jean M. Cassello
WALLINGFORD -- Jean M. Yoder Cassello, 71, of North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, died Monday, April 29, 2002 in the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Albert F. Cassello.
Born in Shamokin, Pa., Dec. 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Russell and Anna Tarcheskie Yoder, she was a Wallingford resident for 40 years. She had been employed as a registered nurse at the Brook Hollow Health Care Center in Wallingford until her retirement last year. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Mrs. Cassello is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Neal Badner of Meriden; her son, Gilbert Cassello of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Sarah Kolman and David Badner; her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma and Edward Padden of Wallingford and Joan and Walter Hynoski of Bucks County, Pa.; her brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Lorraine Yoder of Shamokin, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian burial Friday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville section of Wallingford. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford. Lillian Chagnon
BRISTOL -- Lillian (Bunce) Borkowski Chagnon, 78, of Bristol, widow of Raymond A. Chagnon died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at Bristol Hospital.
Mrs. Chagnon was born in New Britain, Sept. 13, 1923 and was a daughter of the late Howard H. and Minnie (Schwab) Bunce. She had resided in Berlin before moving to Bristol in 1960. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, the Ladies Guild, and the Golden Agers. She was active in both the Girls and Boys Scouts of America in Berlin and Bristol, and she enjoyed her family, friends; hobbies of music, flowers, gardening, birds and amateur photography throughout her life.
Mrs. Chagnon is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Walter "Skip" and Irene Borkowski of Bristol, Thomas and Cathy Chagnon of Wallingford, Paul and Virginia Chagnon of Terryville and Raymond and Dawn Chagnon of Bristol; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Rosalie and Louis Myers of Florida, Judith and Peter Lech of Fullerton, Calif., and Lynn Mills and Wendy Goodwin, both of Bristol; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Stephen Chagnon; a grandson, Gregory Borkowski; and three brothers, Wallace, Kenneth and Rowland Bunce.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 9 a.m. from the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450-1004.
Therese L. Crevier
MERIDEN -- Therese L. Crevier, 74, of 33 S. Meadow Lane, wife of Jean F. Crevier, died suddenly, Monday, April 29, 2002 at MidState Medical Center.
Born in New Britain on Jan. 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Rene and Donalda DeLude Lussier, she had resided in Meriden most of her life and had graduated from Meriden High School and Laurel Business School. She was employed for many years by the State of CT Dept. of Transportation, retiring 12 years ago. Mrs. Crevier was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church; a member of the Ladies of St. Anne; a eucharistic minister at St. Laurent Church, MidState Medical Center and for Shut-ins. She also served as secretary for St. Laurent Retirees' Club and was very active in church affairs.
Besides her husband, Jean, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark J. and Lori Crevier of Palmdale, Calif., Ronald P. and Laura Crevier of Southington; six grandchildren, Paul, Erica, Jonathan, Michael, Michelle and Lesley; and a great-granddaughter, LaLaina.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 3, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m. in St. Laurent Church. Burial will be in St. Laurent Cemetery. Ann Geremia
WALLINGFORD -- Ann V. Michonski Geremia, 89, formerly of Columbia St., Wallingford, died Wednesday, April 29, 2002 in the Regency House of Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Geremia.
Born in Wallingford, Nov. 6, 1912, a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Bober Michonski, she was a lifelong Wallingford resident. She was a parishioner of St. Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church.
Mrs. Geremia is survived by her son, Leonard Costanza of New Haven; her two sisters, Alma (Mrs. Frank) Gadomski of Kensington and Jane (Mrs. Raymond) Bergren of Kensington; her four brothers, Leon Michon of Trumbull, Zigmond S. Michon of Cheshire, Theodore M. Michon of the Yalesville section of Wallingford and Nat S. Michon of Greensboro, N.C.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Stanish; her sister, Helen Kansas; and her brother, Louis Michon.
Funeral services and interment in St. Casimir's Cemetery

Walter K. Jesudowich
SOUTHINGTON -- Walter K. Jesudowich, 56, of East Johnson Ave., in Southington, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at home. He was the husband of Barbara Wasowicz Jesudowich.
Born in New Haven, July 5, 1945, son of Eleonore Radzikowski Jesudowich of Rocky Hill and the late Walter Jesudowich, he had been a resident of Southington for the past 25 years. Mr. Jesudowich was a longtime electrical engineer and a member of Mary Our Queen Church.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his two sons, Mark and Christopher Jesudowich, both of Southington; his sister, Geraldine Jesudowich of Rocky Hill; his father and mother-in-law, Stan and Ann Wasowicz of Middletown; a brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Mary Wasowicz of Sedgwick, Maine; a sister-in-law, Susan Wasowicz of Middlefield; and a nephew, Nathan Wasowicz of Sedgwick, Maine.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 3, at 11 at Mary Our Queen Church. Burial will be in South End Cemetery
at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are prior to the funeral on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 South Main St., Plantsville. Julia Fasulo
SOUTHINGTON -- Julia (Tedesco) Fasulo, 88, formerly of 237 N. Main St., beloved wife , mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, went to her final resting place on April 30, 2002 at Harbor Hill Care Center in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Fasulo Sr.
She was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Southington, daughter of the late Gaetano and Bridget (Menella) Tedesco. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
Julia is survived by her devoted son and his wife, Alfred E. and Geraldine (Tice) Fasulo of Southington; loving grandchildren David and Lisa (Geluso) Fasulo of Ivoryton, Joseph and Kimberly Pishtey of Ocean Pines, Md.; five great-grandchildren, Alycia, Joey and Emily Pishtey and Kyle and Kevin Fasulo; along with several nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunt JuJu". She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Fanny Montefiore, Theresa Fenn, Rose Simone, Lucy Tedesco, Thomas Tedesco and Carmen Tedesco.
Her family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Harbor Hill Care Center in Middletown, for the love, care and support given to Julia. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 8:45 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Calling Hours will be Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Mary T. Hatch
THOMASTON -- Mary Theresa (Church) Hatch, 71, of 11 Grove St., died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at Cook Willow Rest Home in Plymouth.
Mrs. Hatch was born Oct. 2, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of the late William and Mary (Murphy) Church. She lived in Waterbury and Wolcott most of her life until moving to Thomaston over three years ago. She graduated from Wilby High School. She was a retired secretary having been employed by the former Hartley Tool and Die Company for over 10 years. Mrs. Hatch was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Oakville and was very active within the All Saints Episcopal Church in Wolcott, where she served in many capacities.
She leaves three sons, Paul C. Hatch of Waterbury, George E. Hatch Jr. of Oakville and Stephen L. Hatch of Wallingford; two daughters, Mary D. Pepides of Plymouth and Kathleen A. Gorr of Torrington; one brother, Robert Church of Waterbury; two sisters, Rita Dwyer of Middlebury and Virginia Hotchkiss of Waterbury; also eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Agatha Tanner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Oakville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Marion H. Litchfield
TIVERTON, R.I. -- Marion Hoffman Litchfield, 77, of Riverside Drive, Tiverton, R.I., died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Manitee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla. She was the wife of Alvin Litchfield.
Born in Lancaster, Pa., on Feb. 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lottie Hoffman. She grew up in Wallingford and graduated from Lyman Hall High School. Mrs. Litchfield was vice president of Litchfield Construction and Litchfield Pools before retiring 12 years ago. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Tiverton, R.I.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Sandra Almeida of Rayham, Mass.; three sons, Wayne Litchfield of Charlotte, N.C., and Kim and Jameson Litchfield, both of Tiverton; two brothers Richard Hoffman of Southington and Robert Hoffman of Hamden; a sister, Leah Barnes of Wallingford; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Beatrice Toothe and Doris Bovini; and three brothers, Edward, Warren and James Hoffman.
