Jeanne T. Belanger

MERIDEN -- Jeanne T. Belanger, 41, of 490 Swain Ave., the daughter of J. Raymond and Carmen Roy Belanger of Meriden, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, Feb. 22, 2003.

Born in Meriden on July 17, 1961, she attended St. Laurent Parochial School, graduated from Maloney High School, class of 1979, and received her Assoc. Degree in Nursing from Middlesex Hospital School of Nursing. Miss Belanger was a Registered Nurse at Riverside Health and Rehab in East Hartford. She was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church, Meriden.

Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gloria and Vernon Connell of Simsbury, and Carol Poirier of Columbia, Conn.; nephews, Vernon and Wesley Connell; nieces, Jill and Lisa Poirier; also many cousins.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. at St. Laurent Church, 121 Camp St., Meriden. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family, friends may call at the funeral on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Mildred J. Deschaine

SOUTHINGTON -- Mildred J. Deschaine, 72, of 35 Wheeler Village Dr. died Saturday Feb. 22, 2003, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of William T. Deschaine. Born in Bingham, Maine on Jan. 1, 1931 the daughter of the late Ollie and Phoebe Caron.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving children, Edward W. Deschaine and his wife, Barbara of Middletown, Donald J. Deschaine and his wife, Raelea of Alabama, Richard A. Deschaine and his fiance', Deborah Laskowski of Southington, Patricia Tavalozzi and her husband, Glenn of Plantsville; her cherished grandchildren, Tisha Beth, Tim, Eddie, Joshua, Shallyn, Becky, Jonah, Karen, Justin, Marlana, Justin, Robbie, Billy, Andrew, and Keith; and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 p.m.

Reginald A. Garesio Sr.

MERIDEN -- Reginald A. Garesio, Sr., 67, husband of Sandra Lombardo Garesio, died Sunday morning, Feb. 23, 2003, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden after a lengthy illness.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced in Tuesday's complete obituary. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden.

Adele "Hilda" O'Grady

WALLINGFORD -- Adele "Hilda" LeLievre O'Grady, 90, beloved wife of the late Bernard L. O'Grady Sr., formerly of Savage Commons, Wallingford, died Sunday, February 23, 2003, at the Curtis Home in Meriden.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, May 13, 1912, a daughter of the late Dominique and Sophique LeLievre she had been a Wallingford resident since 1942. She had been employed by the former Stanley Judd in Wallingford for over 25 years until her retirement, was a member of the Wallingford Emblem Club for many years and a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Mrs. Alden) O'Grady LeClair of Wallingford, Phyllis O'Grady Hirth of Ardsley, N.Y.; her son, Bernard L. O'Grady, Jr. of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her 13 grandchildren, Susan LeClair Sharp, Alden "Skip" LeClair. Steven LeClair, David LeClair, Rebecca Hirth Goffman, Leon Hirth, Nicholas Hirth, Michael O'Grady, Brenda O'Grady Bowen, Wanda O'Grady Snyder, Phyllis O'Grady Harrell, Terri O'Grady and Bruce O'Grady; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 13 brothers and sisters.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Curtis Home, 380 Crown St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Joseph R. Riccitelli Sr.

MERIDEN -- Joseph R. Riccitelli, Sr., 81, a lifelong resident of the Meriden-Wallingford area, died Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Meriden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Rose Naples Riccitelli.

He was born in Wallingford, Feb. 4, 1922, son of the late Joseph and Angelina Pasquale Riccitelli. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. Mr. Riccitelli was an employee of the International Silver Company for over 40 years and won numerous awards for his pewter designs.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Riccitelli of Hartford and Thomas Riccitelli and his wife, Cindy Riccitelli of Cheshire; two grandchildren, Mike Riccitelli and Kristy Riccitelli, both of Cheshire; and a sister, Lillian Milewski; and a step-brother, Michael Trigilio, both of Wallingford. He was predeceased by a step-brother, Joseph Trigilio; and a sister, Beatrice Turlis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, with the Rev. David Strosahl officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Gary R. Banville

SOUTHINGTON -- Gary R. Banville, 56, of 293 Burritt St. Plantsville section, died Monday Feb. 24, 2003. He was the husband of Barbara (Hichwa) Banville.

Born in Hartford on April 21, 1946 the son of the late E. Raymond and Isabelle (Levesque) Banville. He had worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington. Gary was an avid sailor and boater, he was also a model train and car collector. He was a member of the Penn Railroad & Friends Club.

Besides his wife he is survived by a sister-in-law Patricia Atwart and her husband Tom of Canton, 2 uncles J. B. Levesque of Delaware and Raymond Levesque of FL, an aunt Muriel Banville-Martin and her husband Richard Martin of MA, many cousins, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Darlene Marie Banville, and a sister Barbara A. Banville.

The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Dorothy Burns

WALLINGFORD -- Dorothy Burns, 85, of 35 Marc Drive, Wallingford, died on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 at Skyview Nursing & Rehab Center in Wallingford. Born in Meriden on Sept. 15, 1917, the daughter of the late William R. and Mary Ann Gaffney Burns, she had resided in Meriden during her early years and more recently in Wallingford. She attended Meriden High School and was employed by International Silver Co. as an assembler. Miss Burns was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.

She is survived by a niece, Mary Ellen Baldwin, and a nephew, Robert R. Burns; also five grandnieces and grandnephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Vito P. Ciasulli

WALLINGFORD -- Vito P. Ciasulli, 93, formerly of Chimney Hill Road, Yalesville section of Wallingford, died Sunday, February 23, 2003, at the Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation in Middletown. He was the husband of the late Sophie Piascik Ciasulli.

Born in Atwood, New York, October 28, 1909, a son of the late Antonio and Angeline Sasso Ciasulli he had been a Yalesville resident for 44 years. He was employed by the former Insilco in Meriden for many years until his retirement and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville. He was a member of the Bocci Club and the Falcons in Meriden.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Sheila and Robert Cosgrove of Meriden, Anthony and Joan Ciasulli of Wallingford, David and Karen Ciasulli of Hampton, NH and Raymond and Helen Ciasulli of Cheshire; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; his stepchildren and their spouses, Dolores and William Senger of Pinellas Park, FL, Jeanette and Charles Blessing of West Haven, and Betty and Chester Wernicki of the Plantsville section of Southington; his step son-in-law, Francis Dontigney of South Meriden; two sisters, Theresa Jannarone of Bloomfield, NJ and Matilda Griffin of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother-in-law, Louis Maurizio of Meriden. He was predeceased by three sisters, Filomena Daniels, Mary Ciasulli, and Pasqualina Maurizio; two brothers, August Ciasulli and Carl Ciasulli and his stepdaughter, Marion Dontigney.

His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. Gifts in his memory may be sent to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville, CT 06492.

Daniel J. Daley

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. -- Daniel Joseph Daley 67, MCPO (Ret.) US Navy, Submarine Service, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 in Melbourne, FL., surrounded by his wife of 40 years and his five children.

He was born in Roxbury, MA and had lived in Brevard County for the last 6 years.

Dan retired from MidState Medical Center, Meriden, CT as Director of Materials Management.

He was involved in several organizations including, the Knights of Columbus, Barbershop quartet, the American Cancer Society, VHA and he was a Eucharistic Minister from St. Rose Church. He realized his dream and retired to Florida where he could sail and fish from his dock.

Dan is survived by his wife Louise; two daughters, Julie-Anne Perry (Victor) and Susan Kamerzel (Mark); three sons, Paul Daley, Joseph Daley (Tracy), and Robert Daley (Elaine); seven grandchildren, Michael & Timothy Perry, Christopher & Emily Daley, Kaitlyn & Alexander Kamerzel and Matthew Daley; brother, John Daley, three sisters, Ann Cuneo, Patricia Cummings and Helen Corbett and their spouses and children; brother-in law and sister-in-law Edgar and Annette Webber and brother-in-law, Fr. Henry Boivin.

Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4p.m. on Tuesday , February 25 at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 26, at PAFB Chapel II, by his brother-in-law, Fr. Henry Boivin.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 415, Maitland, FL 32957.
