Evelyn S. Gribus
HAMDEN -- Evelyn S. Sexton Gribus, 98, of 60 Chestnut Lane, Hamden, died Monday, June 16, 2003 at St. Raphael's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Augustus G. Gribus.
Born in Amityville, N.Y., on Jan. 29, 1905, daughter of the late Thomas H. and Annie W. Simonson Sexton. She was a member of the Falcatti Organ Hobbyist.
She was the mother of Catherine Esposito and Nancy G. Pinter, both of Hamden, Augustus F. Gribus of Sorrento, Fla., and the late Clifford Gribus; also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Edwin and John Sexton.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Methodist Cemetery, Bethany. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Kenneth J. Hart
WALLINGFORD -- Kenneth J. Hart, 35, of South Cherry St., Wallingford, died suddenly Saturday, June 14, 2003 in his home.
Born in Meriden, April 3, 1968, a son of Gerald and Nancy Hubert Hart of Wallingford, he was a lifelong Wallingford resident. He had been employed by Integrated Systems of Wallingford.
Besides his parents, Mr. Hart is survived by his two brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Hart of New York and Robert and Julie Hart of Meriden; and his niece, Jaelyn Hart of Meriden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. in St. John Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Fjeldal, Pastor of the Yalesville United Methodist Church, will officiate. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford.
Edward J. Kokoszka
WALLINGFORD -- Edward J. "Koko" Kokoszka, 76, of Washington St., Wallingford, died Monday, June 16, 2003 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven. He was the husband of the late Marie Werner Kokoszka and the late Florence Niezgorski Kokoszka.
Born in Meriden, July 29, 1926, a son of the late Frank and Rose Paszek Kokoszka, he was a Wallingford resident for many years. He had been employed by the Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Co., in Wallingford, for 33 years until his retirement in 1984. He had attended Most Holy Trinity Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy aboard the light cruiser USS Vicksburg. While serving in the Pacific Theater he had earned three Battle Stars as well as the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Maj. Raoul Lufbery Post No. 591. He also had been a member of the American Legion, the Polish Legion, and the Polish Falcons in Meriden. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hiking. He was a mushroom picker.
Mr. Kokoszka is survived by his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Peter and Judith Kokoszka of Wallingford, Paul and Ann Kokoszka of Middletown and Robert Kokoszka of Wallingford; his two sisters, Beatrice Sienkiewicz of Meriden and Helen Jacques of Southington; his brother Walter Kokoszka of California; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and three step children. He was predeceased by his sister, Katherine Ofenowski; and his brother, Ted Kokoszka.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in the State Veterans Cemetery

Henry T. Kulesza
MERIDEN -- Henry T. Kulesza, 76, husband of Catherine Dulski Kulesza died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at the MidState Medical Center.
Born Aug. 20, 1926 in New Britain, where he attended local schools, Henry was the son of the late Konstanty and Aplonia Kulesza. A tool and die maker, Mr. Kulesza was employed for 40 years by the Fafnir Bearing Company of New Britain. He also owned and operated K.M.K. Appliances. Very active in social and fraternal organizations, Mr. Kulesza was past Commander of the PLAV Post 189, Chairman of the PLAV Annual Bazaar on several occasions, Financial Secretary of the Polish National Alliance and a member of the Polish Knights of the Blessed Virgin. Mr. Kulesza was also very active in his parish St. Stanislaus Church. He was a parish council member, chaired the annual June Festival several times and was past president of its Holy Name Society. During World War II, Mr. Kulesza became Sgt. Kulesza and served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater.
Besides his wife, Catherine, he leaves three sons, Michael and wife, Chris of Wallingford, Kenneth and wife, Susan of Higganum and Robert of Berlin; a daughter, Kathleen Muzyczka of Meriden; a granddaughter, Kimberly Kulesza of Wallingford; two sisters, Jedwiga (Harriet) Astoria of New Britain and Laurie Adamowicz of Cromwell; several nieces and nephews; and his long time canine friend, Kemo. Mr. Kulesza was predeceased by his first wife, Bernice Jedziniak; and his sister-in-law, Adeline Jedziniak.
His military funeral will be Thursday, June 19, at 9:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, Meriden. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. The family request donations in Henry's memory be made to St. Stanislaus School, 81 Akron St., Meriden, CT 06450 or to Sacred Heart Academy, 265 Benham St., Hamden, CT 06514.
Julia E. McQuade
CHESHIRE -- Mrs. Julia E. (Keeley) McQuade, 66, of 101 Fawn Drive, died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at Hartford Hospital. She was the husband of John H. McQuade.
Mrs. McQuade was born July 22, 1936 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late William Joseph and Catherine (Cook) Keeley and was a lifelong Cheshire resident. She was the Production Control Manager at the Ball and Socket Manufacturing Co., in Cheshire, retiring after more than 43 years of service. Mrs. McQuade was a communicant of St. Bridget's Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, James McQuade of Garden Grove, Calif., and David McQuade of Cheshire; a daughter, Sandra McQuade of Cheshire; a brother, William J. Keeley Jr. of Wolcott; two sisters, Margaret Olives of Harrisburg, Pa., and Patricia Lawson of Wolcott; she also leaves eight grandchildren, Jesse McQuade, Robert McQuade, Kayla McQuade, Julia McQuade, Sarah McQuade, Maggie McQuade, Alethia Balentine and William Balentine; five great-grandchildren, Caleb McQuade, Vivian, Austin, Marisa and Brice; a daughter-in-law, Noreen McQuade; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John W. McQuade.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 South Main St., Cheshire to St. Bridget's Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Carl L. Morris
SOUTHINGTON -- Carl L. Morris, 43, of October Lane in the Plantsville section of Southington died Friday, June 13, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born March 18, 1960 in Waterbury, Carl was the son of Donald W. Morris and the late Delia Labrecque Morris. He was a lifelong Southington resident. Mr. Morris was self-employed for the CVC Trucking Company in Southington. He was a 1979 graduate of Southington High School and a volunteer member of the Southington Fire Department Co. No. 2 for over 20 years.
Besides his father, Donald Morris, he is survived by his brother, William Morris of Southington; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Paul Mariani of Southington; his aunt, Jeannette Mathews and his fiancé and her daughter, Jennifer McMahon and Colleen, all of Southington; he also leaves his nieces and nephews, Kristina, William, Jeremy, Hope and Ashley.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 9:15 a.m. from the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 South Main St., Plantsville with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery
in Waterbury. Calling hours are Monday, June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eleanor Parker
MERIDEN -- Eleanor (Erasmus) Parker, 72, of 33 Harness Drive, wife of Edward Parker died on Friday, June 13, 2003 at MidState Medical Center.
Born Meriden on July 10, 1930, she was the daughter of Frances (Kurzweil) and the late Stanley Erasmus. She had resided in Meriden all her life and had graduated from Meriden High School. Mrs. Parker was employed by Cigna Insurance Co., in Meriden until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and a member of the Silver City Golf Club and the P.L.A.V. Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, Ed and her mother, Frances, she is survived by one sister, Dorothy Erasmus of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Monday, June 16, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, June 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of their choice.
Ann J. Rivers
WALLINGFORD -- Ann J. Ragozzino Rivers, 68, of Saw Mill Drive, Wallingford, died Friday, June 13, 2003 at Masonic Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of Timothy L. Rivers.
Born in Meriden, Feb. 7, 1945, a daughter of the late Dominic and Louise Moretti Ragozzino, she had been a Wallingford resident for many years. An insurance consultant, she was employed at HRH Insurance Agency in Hamden.
Besides her husband Timothy, she is survived by her sister, Rita Ragozzino Hass (Mrs. Richard F. Hass Jr.) of Wallingford; her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony J. Ragozzino and Joyce Civali Ragozzino of Meriden; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext. , Wallingford. Graveside services at In Memoriam Cemetery
will be private.
John T. Klopp
SOUTHINGTON -- John T. Klopp, 51, of Southington, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2003, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle against lung cancer.
Born in New Britain, son of the late Ernst and Irma (Linn) Klopp, he moved to Southington in 1993. A graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1970, where he was captain of the baseball team, he graduated with honors from Central Connecticut State University in 1974. A dedicated mathematics teacher, he taught at Kennedy Junior High School for 14 years and at Southington High School for the past 15 years. An avid golfer, John was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Southington, Club 48 in New Britain and Southington and the National Education Association. He formerly coached boys JV baseball and girls volleyball at John F. Kennedy Junior High School; was former girls assistant volleyball coach at Southington High School and currently coached girls varsity tennis. He was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in New Britain and served on St. Matthew's School Board of Education.
Surviving is his wife, Linda (Spranzo) Klopp; a daughter, Colleen Klopp of Southington; two brothers, Michael Klopp and his wife, Judith of New Britain and Paul Klopp and his wife, Bonnie Bercowetz of Bloomfield; a sister-in-law, Maureen Klopp of New Britain; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Peter Klopp.
Funeral services are Monday 2:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 531 Woodruff St., Southington 06489. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery
