CJ Carrozzella, 17, of Ryan Dr., Wallingford, entered into rest on Monday, March 3, 2003 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the son of Christopher Carrozzella and Elisa Ferraro both of Wallingford.
CJ was born in Meriden on February 2, 1986 and was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. He was a junior at Xavier High School in Middletown. He enjoyed many sports, break dancing and discovered a love for all forms of dance.
Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Andrea B. Carrozzella and a brother, Luke Ferraro both of Wallingford. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Jeanette Moller of Avon, his maternal grandparents, Carole Wheeler of Wethersfield, Ralph and Nancy Frenzilli of Sun City, FL, his maternal great grandparents, Ina Dunne of Falmouth, ME, George Carter of Staten Island, NY, Lawrence and Gladys Frenzilli of Sun City, FL and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather John A. Carrozzella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, at 10:30 am in The Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford followed by interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Wallingford. Friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Roland L. Holmes, Jr.

MERIDEN - Roland L. Holmes, Jr., 61, of D.M.R. South Region, Unit A, Meriden Campus, 35 Undercliff Rd., formerly of 528 North Main Street, Wallingford died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Meriden, April 30, 1944 a beloved son of Genevieve Pilecki Holmes of Wallingford and the late Roland L. Holmes, Sr.
Roland attended a handicap day program thru the Society for the Handicapped. He attended a swimming program at Choate School which he thoroughly enjoyed and became an accomplished swimmer. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Church in Wallingford.
The family wishes to thank the staff and supervisors where he resided for the past five years, for the love and care they always gave him.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by sisters, Olive Moredock of Guilford, Jeanne Holmes of Wallingford, Alice Bissoni and her husband T. Bissoni of New Britain and a brother, Robert Holmes of Berlin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew and cousins who loved him and will miss him and all the love he generated to them.
The funeral will leave the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm
Street on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 127 North Orchard Street, Wallingford. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. If friends so desire, gifts in his memory may be made to D.M.R. Leon A. Wasilewski

WALLINGFORD – Leon A. Wasilewski, 84, of 2 South Side Terrace, died May, 2, 2003, at the MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Lillian White Wasilewski.
He was born in Branford, March 1, 1919, a son of the late John & Stella Wachlewicz Wasilewski.
Mr. Wasilewski was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Until his retirement, he was a tool maker and tool inspector at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in North Haven.
He was a communicant of the Church of the Resurrection, and was a member of Shaw - Sinon American Legion Post #73 and Pinta Council #5 Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th degree all of Wallingford.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Michael L. Wasilewski of Clearwater, FL, Daniel M. Wasilewski of Chester, CT, Thomas S. Wasilewski of Bethlehem, PA, and Matthew J. Wasilewski of Yalesville, 3 daughters, Susan R. Davis of Lees Summit, MO, Lorraine J. Cappetta of Plainfield, VT, and Jane Ann Bolden of Charlotte, NC, a brother, John Wasilewski of Clinton, two sisters, Jean Kikoscki of North Branford and Camilla Ruba of Branford, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The funeral will leave the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street on Tuesday May 6, 2003 at 9:15 a.m. for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 5, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. If friends so desire, gifts in his memory may be made to the Wallingford Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. BRISTOL - Donna Faulkner Grass, 51, of 40 Matthews Street died Monday, April 28, 2003 at her residence. She was the former wife of Harry Faulkner of East Haven and the dear companion of Sonny Tompkins, with whom she resided.
She was born in New Haven, May 7, 1951 a daughter of Raymond Grass Sr. of Wallingford and the late Barbara Stevens Jesse.
She was a past president of the Wallingford Single Parents Association and was a former member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford.
She is survived by a son Brian Faulkner, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Naugatuck, a daughter Tricia Faulkner of Wallingford, a brother Raymond Grass, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Durham, a sister Allison Romano of Meriden and 5 grandchildren, Brittany Williams, Kenneth Williams, Jr., Brian Faulkner, Jr., Brianna Faulkner and Ashley Groves. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Joseph A. Jesse.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. Burial will be at the Centerville Cemetery, Washington St., Hamden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be made to the Asthma-American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.

Alex Bayne

WALLINGFORD - Alex Bayne, 86, of 100 Grandview Ave., died Friday, October, 21, 2005 at the Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of the late Winifred Berlo Bayne.
He was born in Wallingford, March 22, 1919 a son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Kadar Bayne.
He was a veteran of World War ll, serving in the U.S. Army in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. Until his retirement, he was a machine operator at the International Silver Company for 42 years.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers, Paul Bayne, Frank Bayne, Stephen Bayne, William Bayne and Joseph Bayne and a sister, Helen Bayne.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. Burial will be at In Memoriam Cemetery, Wallingford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Joseph S. Drost
Born in Wallingford on Feb. 3, 1920

WALLINGFORD – Joseph S. Drost, 85, of 10 Wall Street died Monday, August 8, 2005 at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Nadine (Huntley) Drost.
He was born in Wallingford on February 3, 1920, a son of the late Stanley Joseph and Eva (Skowronek) Drost.
Mr. Drost had been active as a youth in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Madison and was a veteran, having served in the US Army during World War II. He had also been a member of the National Guard. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a silver smith by International Silver. He was a member of St. Casimir’s Polish National Catholic Church in Wallingford. He was a lifetime member of the Major Raoul Lufbery VFW Post 591 in Wallingford.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Drost and his wife Maria Luisa of Arlington, VA, and Robert Drost and his wife Linda of Meriden; a sister, Florence Shaw of Wallingford; and three grandchildren, Andrea Drost and Glendon Drost, both of Arlington, VA, and Ian Drost of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 9:00 am at the chapel of the Masonic Healthcare Center, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford with the Very Rev. Joseph Krusienski presiding. Burial will follow at St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Wallingford. Friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Ruth M. Dolliver
Born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 21, 1907

SCITUATE, MA – Ruth M. Dolliver, 98, a long time resident of Pilgrim’s Harbor, Wallingford died Monday, August 15, 2005 in the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate, MA. She was the wife of the late Elson P. Dolliver, who was president of Wallace Silversmith for several years.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 21, 1907, daughter of the late John and Anna Taylor Merrin of Waltham Massachusetts where she grew up.
She graduated from Boston School of Physical Education with a physical education teaching degree. She taught in Fairfield, CT and Portland, ME. Ruth as a fervent Red Sox fan observing the first World Series win in 1918 and again in 2004.
Mrs. Dolliver was a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford where she had served as a deaconess. She had been active with the Girl Scouts and was an avid golfer and member of the Wallingford Country Club, where she served on the tournament committee. Ruth was also a member of the Connecticut Women’s State Golf Team.
She is survived by a son, Elson Dolliver, Jr. of Bloomfield Hills, MI, two daughters, Deborah Sullivan of Medford, NJ, Judith Taylor of Hingham, MA, seven grandchildren: Amy Louwers, Elson Dolliver III, Thomas Dolliver, Wendy Boston, Holly Sullivan, Heidi Godomski and Toby Salin and 9 great grandchildren: Max, Nicholas, and Benjamin Godomski, David and Lauren Louwers, Charlotte and Elson Dolliver IV, Max and Katie Boston.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2005 at 10 AM, at the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. Burial will be at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Congregational Church in her name.

James A. Perkins
Born in Springfield, MA on Jul. 30, 1912

WALLINGFORD - James A. Perkins, Jr., 93, of Wallingford and Guilford passed away on August 25, 2005 at the Skyview Nursing Home. He was the husband of Mary (Minor) Perkins.
He was born in Springfield, MA to Helen Doolittle Perkins and James A. Perkins on July 30, 1912.
He retired from Pratt & Whitney in 1977 and spent his retirement enjoying his family and working in his woodshop. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spent decades of summers in a house he built at Leete’s Island (Guilford, CT) where he kept a boat and maintained lobster traps for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dwight M. Perkins and his wife Madeline of Wallingford, CT and James D. Perkins and his wife Kathleen of Cheshire; a daughter Margo P. Gecewicz and her husband Ronald of Wallingford; and six grandchildren: Timothy D. Perkins and his wife Jennifer of Columbia, CT; Carrie A. Perkins of Hempstead, NY; Molly D. Perkins of Somerville, MA; Jennie C. Perkins of Cleveland, OH; Callie P. Gecewicz of Norwalk, CT; and Justine D. Gecewicz of Middletown, CT. He was predeceased by brothers Kendrick D. Perkins and Darrell D. Perkins.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 23 So. Main St., Wallingford on Saturday, September 3rd at 12:30pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the the VNA of Wallingford, Inc., 135 No. Plains Industrial Road, Wallingford, CT 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford had been entrusted with the arrangements.

Dorothy McCall Norton
1903 - 1999
COLCHESTER - Dorothy McCall Norton of North Westchester in Colchester died on Sunday, March 21, 1999, at Harrington Court Genesis Elder Care in Colchester. She was born July 28, 1903 in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Edward and Cornelia (Brown) McCall. She was married to the late Edward H. Norton in 1929. He predeceased her in 1958. Mrs. Norton graduated from Bacon Academy in Colchester and the Sargent School of Physical Education at Boston University. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Norton taught in Devon, PA and in New Britain, CT. She was Chairman of the Colchester Board of Education from 1937 - 1942, and was the Chairman of the Colchester War Rationing Board from 1942 - 46. She was once again the Chairman of the Colchester Board of Education in the 1950s. Mrs. Norton was the Chairman of the Cragin Memorial Library Board of Trustees, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Bacon Academy, both in Colchester, and a member of the Colchester Housing Authority. She is survived by three children, Nicholas Norton of Colchester, Nan Norton Wasniewski of Colchester, and Patricia Norton Engel of East Hampton, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 27 at Westchester Congregational Church at 2 p.m. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to Cragin Memorial Library Building Fund, 8 Linwood Avenue, Colchester, CT 06415.
