Virginia F. Pascale
WALLINGFORD — Virginia F. Torelli Pascale, 76, of Jackson Avenue, Wallingford, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of George R. Pascale.
Born Aug. 11, 1922, in North Branford, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Raccio Torelli and was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. She was employed by the former International Silver Co. for many years until her retirement and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Perry Testa of Meriden; and a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Irene Torelli of Wallingford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Bia; and three brothers, Alphonse Torelli, Michael Torelli and Ralph Torelli.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Most Holy Trinity Church Preservation Project, 68 N. Colony St., Wallingford, CT 06492.

Jon L. Ford
WALLINGFORD — Jon L. Ford, 57, of 286 South Elm St., died suddenly Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at the MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Judy Bonds Ford.
He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., March 17, 1941, a son of the late Paul and Catherine Newton Ford. He was a route serviceman for Bell Foods until retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Ford and his wife, Lisa, and Brian Ford, both of Wallingford; a granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Ford; and two step-grandchildren, Ashley Oren and B.J. Oren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 8 p.m. in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. If friends so desire, gifts in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492, or the American Diabetes Association, CT Affiliate Inc., 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.

Richard F. Senoski
MERIDEN — Richard F. Senoski, 56, of 68 Sunbright Drive North, husband of Martha Rush Senoski, died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at the MidState Medical Center.
Born Oct. 4, 1942, in Shamokin, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Stephanie Sabator Senoski and had resided in Meriden for the past 15 years. Mr. Senoski graduated from Coal Township High School and was employed by R.P.S Special Services. He was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Besides his wife, Martha, he is survived by three sons, Frank Senoski of Orange, Brian Senoski of Lakeville, Pa., and Richard A. Senoski of Wallingford, three grandchildren, Richard David, Monica Leigh and Jacob Frank; four sisters, Mildred Yascavage of Wharton, N.J., Eleanor Olcese of Shamokin, Pa., Dolores Spieth of Cleveland, Ohio, and Marie Drochek of Norristown, Pa.; a brother, Robert Senoski of Conshahocken, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Josephine M. Boucher
MERIDEN — Josephine M. Boucher, 84, of 20 Plumb Ave., wife of the late Harold Boucher, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at Westfield Care & Rehab Center in Meriden after a brief illness.
Born in Meriden on March 13, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Michalski. Mrs. Boucher was a lifelong resident of Meriden, attended local schools, and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Norman Renkiewicz of Punta Gorda, Fla.; three granddaughters, Laurie Daigle and Christine Briers, both of Southington, and Aimee Gallagher of Meriden; five great-grandchildren, Jason and Nicholas Briers and Kimberly, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Gallagher; one sister, Adeline Ruede of Meriden and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Hospice Community Services, 658 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Alice J. Couture
MERIDEN — Alice J. Couture, 81, of 320 Colony St. (Bradley Home), formerly of Hanover Towers, wife of the late Paul E. Couture, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998.
Born May 13, 1917, in St. Isadore, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine Vaillincourt Rodrique. She lived in Granby, Quebec, until 1941, when she moved to Meriden. Mrs. Couture was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church, and a member of the St. Anne Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ruth Couture of Medfield, Mass., Victor and Jane Couture of Meriden, Richard and Sarah Couture of Meriden, Roger and Dorothy Couture of Meriden, Marcel and Marsha Couture of Killingworth, and a daughter-in-law, Jane M. Couture of Meriden; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Marchand and Yolande St. Hilaire of Granby, Quebec, and Jacqueline Bergeron of St. Foy, Quebec.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Norman Couture, five brothers and three sisters.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 10 a.m. at St. Laurent Church. Burial will be in St. Laurent Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bradley Home, 320 Colony St., Meriden, CT 06451.

Jose A. Valentin Sr.
MERIDEN — Jose A. Valentin Sr., 69, of Springdale Avenue, died unexpectedly Nov. 7, 1998, at home.
Born Sept. 3, 1929, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Rogelio and Ramona Valentin.
Mr. Valentin was a lifelong resident of Meriden. He owned and operated an auto body shop for many years. He was a member of the Spanish-American Club. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Valentin is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Dawn and Ron Hedlund of Meriden, Ramona and Norton Field Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla., Lisa and Tony Rowe of Clinton, and Marylee Jackson of Westbrook; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Janet Valentin of Southington and Jose Jr. and Pam Valentin of Plainville; 17 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Luc Valentin and Primitiva Mendoza, both of Puerto Rico; one brother, Carlos Valentin of Meriden; and by several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Ana Valentin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Thursday at 9 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Dorothy A. Berry
SOUTHINGTON — Dorothy A. Berry, 79, wife of the late George E. Berry, died in her home Monday, Nov. 9, 1998.
She was born Feb. 28, 1919 in Boston, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Edith Allen. Dorothy worked for many years in the Southington school system.
She is survived by her three children, Pamela Barneschi of Meriden, Bonnie Hrichak of Maine and Bruce Berry of Virginia. She also leaves three grandchildren, John Pastor, Shelly Barneschi and Robert Barneschi; two sons in law, Robert Barneschi and Thomas Hrichak; two sisters, June Pariseau of Massachusetts and Marilyn Watts of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Chester A. Allen.
Friends and family may call at the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass., at the convenience of the family.

Helena Burke
WEST HARTFORD — Helena "Babe" (Ferry) Burke, 99, a lifelong resident of Meriden and beloved wife of the late Emmet J. Burke, died on Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at St. Mary's Home in West Hartford.
Born in Meriden on Oct. 17, 1899, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Healey) Ferry. She graduated from Meriden High School and, prior to her marriage, she was secretary at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, which was operated and owned by her father and brothers. Mrs. Burke was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church, a member of the Meriden Council of Catholic Women and of the Holy Angels Church Womens Guild.
Mrs. Burke is survived by her two nieces, Maureen Ferry Slattery of Milford and Anne Jane Ferry Delaney of West Hartford; three nephews, Thomas L. Ferry Jr. of Meriden, Vincent J. Ferry of Garden City, N.Y., and William E. Ferry of Charlotte, N.C. She is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998, at 11:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at noon at Holy Angels Church in South Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Home, 2021 Albany Ave., West Hartford, CT 06119.

Millicent E. Dessureau
WEST HARTFORD — Millicent E. (Monaghan) Dessureau, 95, the widow of Urban R. Dessureau, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at the Center for Optimum Care in West Hartford.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dec. 25, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Elizabeth Monaghan. She immigrated to the United States and settled in New York City in 1924. She was married in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 3, 1928 to Urban Dessureau and that same year, moved to Meriden, where, together with her husband, she lived for the next 45 years. While in Meriden, Millicent was a parishioner of both St. Rose and St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Until her retirement in 1965, she worked as a secretary for the International Silver Company, a job she held for almost 30 years. She moved to East Hartford in 1973, where she remained until her husband's passing in 1984. Failing health forced her into convalescence in 1987 and she took up residence at the Center for Optimum Care, where she spent the last 11 years of her life.
She is survived by a son, Roger L. Dessureau and his wife, Barbara, of West Hartford; two grandchildren, Kelly Marie Dessureau of West Hartford and Sean Michael Dessureau of Boston, Mass.. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
Calling hours are Tuesday , Nov. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. beginning with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Helena's Church, 30 Echo Lane, West Hartford. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Milly's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Norman L. Gendron
FORT MYERS, Fla. — Norman L. Gendron, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998 in Fort Myers, Fla. A native of Wallingford, Conn., he came to the southwest Florida area in 1992 from Southington, Conn. Mr. Gendron was preceded in death by his wife, Helen F. Notar-Gendron, on June 27, 1998.
He is survived by a son, Richard Gendron of Fort Myers, Fla.; a daughter, Joan M. Brodeur of Guilford, Conn.; six grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, in the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord with the Rev. Michael Cremin celebrating. Cremation to follow. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord's Building Fund, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 3654 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, Fla. There will be a Christian wake service Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
