Tove Swensen, a longtime Greenwich resident, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001 at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home in Greenwich. She was 95.

Paul M. Kachaluba

Paul Michael Kachaluba, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at Stamford Hospital. He was 35.

Nancy Masi

Nancy Benegast Benincasa Masi, a Norwalk resident, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at home. She was 86.

Pat A. Raucci

Pat A. Raucci, a Stamford resident, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at Stamford Hospital. He was 72.

Jack Baer

Jack Baer, a resident of Stamford, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at home. He was 93.

Fanny B. Fisher

Fanny B. Fisher, a resident of Media, Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at Martin's Run Lifecare Community in Media. She was 95.

Ruth Taylor

Ruth Taylor, a Stamford resident for 23 years, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 at Stamford Hospital. She was 103.

James Wisharp

James Wisharp, a Norwalk resident for more than 53 years, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at the Mediplex Center in Westport. He was 84.

He died of natural causes, according to his family.

Born April 11, 1916, in Montezuma, Ga., he was a son of the late Ben and Carrie Wisharp.

Before he retired, Mr. Wisharp worked as a machine operator for Clover Manufacturing Co. in Norwalk for 30 years.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk, where he was a member of the Pastor's Aide Club.

He is survived by his wife, Aline Nash Wisharp of Norwalk; a son, Thomas Forbes of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 at Calvary Baptist Church, Concord Street, South Norwalk.

A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Easton.

The Downer Funeral Home, 75 East Ave., Norwalk, is handling arrangements.

Mary Lou Quinn

Mary Lou Quinn of Greenwich, a retired secretary, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 at home. She was 67.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, her family said.

Born Jan. 3, 1934, in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion Conlon.

Mrs. Quinn was retired as a secretary for Telcoa International in Greenwich. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Quinn of Greenwich; two sons, Brian Quinn of Seymour and Keith Quinn of Somers, N.Y.; seven daughters, Susan Matsen of Norwalk, Colleen Reardon of Ashley Falls, Mass., Nancy Ryan of Londonderry, N.H., Marion McMahon and Tara Quinn, both of Milford, and Kelly Quinn and Kerry Quinn, both of Greenwich; and 18 grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. today, Jan. 30, 2001 at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich CT 06830.

Regina Mayes

Regina Mayes of Sun City Center, Fla., a former Stamford resident, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at Sun City Retirement Residence. She was 83.

She died of natural causes, according to her family.

Born Jan. 26, 1918, in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Stanislaw Lowicki.

Mrs. Mayes moved to Sun City Center in 1998. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Sun City Center.

She is survived by two sons, Gery S. Mayes of Lakeland, Fla., and Kevin R. Mayes of Forth Worth, Texas ; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent W. Mayes.

There are no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 at Prince of Peace Church, Sun City Center.

Burial will be private.

Family Funeral Care in Sun City Center is handling arrangements.

Richard John Fox

Richard John Fox of Bridgeport, a Stamford resident, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was 52.

He died of a heart attack, according to his family.

Born Jan. 8, 1949, in Newport, Vt., he was a son of Lawrence and Gertrude Fox, both of Norwalk.

Mr. Fox worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Stamford as a mail carrier for 25 years. He was a sergeant at the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Long Fox of Bridgeport; two sons, Eric Fox of Hartford and Jason Fox of Milford; a daughter, Krista Fox Fabian of Milford; a stepson, Michael C. Senat of Bridgeport; a stepdaughter, India Long of Bridgeport; two brothers, Donald L. Fox of Stamford and Robert L. Fox of Norwalk; two sisters, Geneva Fox of Norwalk and Cheryl Fox of Milford; and a grandson.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m., today, Jan. 30, 2001 at the Gerald R. Bosak Funeral Home, 9 Pulaski St., Stamford.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Therese M. Bastien Juneau

Therese M. Bastien Juneau of Salem, Mass., a former Stamford resident, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 at the Hunt Nursing and Retirement Home in Danvers, Mass. She was 84.

She died of congestive heart failure, according to her family.

Born Nov. 13, 1916, in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Omarine Bastien.

Mrs. Juneau was raised and educated in Shawinigan. She received her education in music. She was a piano teacher and played the church organ in Shawinigan.

She came to the United States in 1947 and settled in Stamford, where she lived until 1995.

She is survived by a son, Pierre Juneau of Phoenix; two daughters, Lucie Juneau Patrowicz of Salem and Cecile Juneau Hurley of Stamford; a brother, Marcel Bastien of Montreal; two sisters, Pierrette Juneau and Denise Paquette, both of Montreal; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, Real Bastien, Bernard Bastien, Jules Bastien, Gaston Bastien and Leo Paul Bastien; five sisters, Rolande Bastien, Gabrielle Bastien, Georgette Cummings, Gisele Boisvert and Louise Philibert.

There are no calling hours.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Beverly, Mass.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.

The Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Mass., is handling arrangements.
