Mary Neal
WALLINGFORD — Mary Filippo Neal, of Neal Road, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at Elim Park in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late John W. Neal.
Born in Wallingford, June 5, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Rocchina Lettieri Filippo and was a lifelong resident. She and her late husband were proprietors of the former Neal Oil Co. of Wallingford for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Mastroddi, Carmela Francolino and Catherine Brangiero; and two brothers, Louis Filippo and Peter Filippo.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the charity of one's choice.

Frank P. Parziale
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Frank Paul Parziale, 88, of Port St. Lucie, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, at his residence.
He was born in Meriden, Conn., and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 12 years, moving from Meriden. Prior to retirement he was a superintendent with Meriden Rolling Mills for 40 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the BPOE Lodge 35 of Meriden and in 1980 was named Elk of the Year. He was past president of the Meriden Industrial Management Association.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Beatrice Parziale of Port St. Lucie; a son, David P. Parziale of Port St. Lucie; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary P. and Cheryl Parziale of Terryville, Conn.; a daughter, Lois Shannon of Port St. Lucie; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, at 11 a.m. at St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Treasure Coast, P.O. Box 1748, Fort Pierce, FL 34954.

Carol J. Ur
MERIDEN — Carol Julia Grinold Ur, 61, of 132 Hall Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of William S. Ur.
She was born in Meriden on Jan. 26, 1937, the daughter of the late George Pritchard and Stella Julia LeFort Grinold. She was a lifelong resident of Meriden. After graduating from Meriden High School in 1955, she worked for both Travelers Insurance Co. and the Lane Construction Corp. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Meriden, the Ladies Home League with the Salvation Army, the Mount Carmel Seniors and the Order of Amaranth in Meriden. She was active with area Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Laura M. Thorpe of Meriden, and a son, George W. Ur of Meriden.
A funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Hubbard Chapel in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Burial will follow. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements in care of Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Robert J. Beaudry Sr.
MERIDEN — Robert J. Beaudry Sr., of 657 East Main St., husband of Teresa Arrigoni Beaudry, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at his home with his family.
Born in Waterbury on Sept. 7, 1916, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mary Jane (Daley) Beaudry. He lived in Meriden all his life and attended local schools. Mr. Beaudry was employed by the New Departure Hyatt Bearing Division of G.M., retiring in 1975. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy as chief petty officer on the destroyer USS Macomb. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church and a member of the V.F.W. He coached in John Barry Little League, Pony League, Little League and semi-professional baseball.
Besides his wife, Teresa, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Richard Petit of Meriden, and Diana and Gregory Kosienski of Meriden; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert J. and Susan Beaudry Jr. of Camp Hill, Pa.; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Lisa Petit, Michelle Petit, Bryan and Jennifer Petit, Scott Kosienski, Darin and Evelyn Kosienski, Jodi and Seo Singam, Nathan Beaudry, Taylor Jane Beaudry; four great-grandchildren, Jaime Lynn Petit, Darin and Todd Kosienski and Brandon Singam; his sister, Helen Bogdanski of Meriden; and several nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, James Petit; and by two brothers, Edmund and Thomas Beaudry.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 Main St., and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Adolph J. Kusha
MERIDEN — Adolph J. Kusha, 84, husband of Genevieve (Stefanowicz) Kusha, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at the Westfield Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Meriden, a son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Pociadlo) Kusha. He was a lifelong resident of Meriden and was educated in local schools. Adolph was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the International Silver Company for 33 years, retiring in 1978. Also, he was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, a member of its Holy Name Society, the Seniors' Sunshine Club and the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Post 189.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Elizabeth Kusha of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. ; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and David Papp of Wallingford; eight grandchildren, Jill Papp of San Jose, Calif., Cheryl Gallmeier, Mary Bloking, Elizabeth Dumond, William, David, Stephen and Richard Rogers. He was predeceased by a sister, Monica Kusha.
A military funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, at 10:45 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of one's choice.

Joseph B. Manley
NORTH HAVEN — Joseph B. Manley, 81, of 47 Coventry Circle, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary Farrell Manley.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Patrick Manley of Milford; three daughters, Sharon Manley of Meriden, Lynn Mead of North Haven and Deborah Currran of Wallingford; three sisters, Mary Miller, Bridget Smith and Jane Machrael, all of Pennsylvania ; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Evans; and a brother, Robert Manley.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford 06492.

Edward M. Marino
NORTH HAVEN — Edward M. Marino, 64, of 20 Angel Place, died Saturday at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Claire Carlson Marino.
Mr. Marino was born in New Haven on March 15, 1934, and was the son of the late Louis and Marie (Kate) Franco Marino. A resident of North Haven since 1960, he had worked for the former High Standard, then Sargents & Company, Long Wharf, and for Teleco Oil Field Services for 16 years, retiring as a design engineer. He was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, William C. Marino of North Haven and Peter E. Marino of Hamden; and two brothers, Louis Marino of Palm Coast, Fla., and Robert Marino of Wallingford.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 61 Burban Drive, Branford 06405.

David L. Swanson
WATERBURY — David L. Swanson, 45, of 66 Wilson St., died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Lori (Lombra) Swanson.
Mr. Swanson was born in Waterbury, Jan. 28, 1953, son of the late Roger R. and Helen (Ranslow) Swanson. He was employed as a maintenance mechanic for the Kimberly-Clark Co.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Amy E. Swanson, and a son, David L. Swanson Jr., both of Waterbury; two brothers, Scott Swanson of Waterbury and James Swanson of Wolcott; three sisters, Ruth Vallaincourt of Manchester, N.H., Laura Swanson of Watertown, and Mina Bergin of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Swanson Jr.
The funeral will leave the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury, at 8:45 a.m. Monday to Blessed Sacrament Church for Mass at 9:15 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Frederick S. Wallace Sr.
WALLINGFORD — Frederick S. Wallace Sr., 87, of Fritz Place, Yalesville, beloved husband of Mabelle Warner Wallace, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at Coccomo Memorial Health Care Center, Meriden.
Mr. Wallace was born in New Britain, Jan. 30, 1911, the son of the late Frederick B. and Lucy Treloar Wallace, and was a lifelong resident here. He had been a foreman at the Choate Rosemary Hall School in Wallingford for many years until his retirement and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. He was a 60-year member of Compass Lodge AF & AM.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Ernest Ritchie of South Meriden; his two sons and his daughter-in-law, Frederick S. Wallace Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Alan J. and Judith Wallace of Yalesville; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Ruth DeFelice, Ethel Hackbarth and Flora E. Wallace.
Funeral services and interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville.
