AMANDA M. DAIGLE
LEWISTON, Maine — Amanda M. Daigle, 86, of 550 College St., formerly a longtime resident of Fort Kent, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998, at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness.
She was born June 25, 1912, in St. Francis, New Brunswick, the daughter of Hermengilde and Madeleine (Landry) Plourde. After high school, her studies continued at Madawaska Training School and Castine Normal School, and she was a graduate of the former Fort Kent Teachers College. Prior to her retirement, she was a school teacher in Fort Kent for 32 years. She was a member of the Retired Maine Teachers Association, and the Catholic Order of Foresters of Fort Kent. On July 31, 1935, she married Alphie Daigle, who predeceased her on Nov. 15, 1996.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Aline) Tardif and Mrs. Richard (Monique) Poulin, both of Lewiston, Mrs. Ted (Odette) Lebel and Mrs. Roma Michaud, both of Southington, Conn., Mrs. Julienne Ouellette of Bristol; a son, Carmel Daigle of Westville, N.Y.; a sister, Gertrude Ouellette of Lawrence, Mass.; a brother, Carl Pelletier of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Philip Plourde, and by a stepbrother, Sylvio Pelletier.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Holy Cross Church. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Pinette Funeral Chapel, 1065 Lisbon St., Lewiston, Maine.

JEANNE A. HUBENY
WATERTOWN — Jeanne A. (Dupont) Hubeny, 50, of Bassett Road, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at her home. She was the wife of Gene Hubeny.
Mrs. Hubeny was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Bristol, daughter of Theresa (Dumas) Dupont of Bristol and the late Joseph Dupont. She was raised in Bristol and lived in Southington for many years before moving to Watertown 10 years ago. She was a graduate of Central High School and Miss Oneil's Secretarial School. She attended Naugatuck Valley Community College. She was employed by Visiting Nurse and Home Care Northwest Inc. She was a communicant of St. John Evangelist Church.
Besides her husband and mother, she leaves two daughters, Tina L. Hubeny and Aline F. Hubeny, both of Watertown.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, from the Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2024 E. Main St., Waterbury, CT 06706.

ROBERT W. PELLERIN
WALLINGFORD — Robert W. Pellerin, 38, of Sigwin Circle, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Middletown.
Born in Meriden, Nov. 28, 1959, he was a son of Dorothy M. Wayland Pellerin of the Yalesville section of Wallingford and the late George W. Pellerin. He was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. He was a graduate of Mark T. Sheehan High School in Wallingford and was a self-employed carpenter in the Wallingford area for many years.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Kristy L. Pellerin of Wallingford and Kaela M. Pellerin of Coronado, Calif.; a son, Robert G. Pellerin of Wallingford; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly J. and James O. Goodrich of Chester; a brother, William G. Pellerin of Wallingford; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends at the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial, Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the Pellerin Children's Educational Fund, c/o Dorothy M. Pellerin, 64 Hill Ave., Yalesville, CT 06492.

EDNA TAYLOR
WALLINGFORD — Edna Nowotenski Taylor, 86, of East Main Street, Wallingford, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at her home. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Wallingford, a daughter of the late Walenty J. and Pauline L. Krafczek Nowotenski, and was a lifelong resident here. She had been employed in the office of the Electric Division of the Wallingford Department of Public Utilities until her retirement. She was a parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild of the parish. She has also been a member of the Wallingford Garden Club.
She is survived by her sister, Jane (Mrs. Bernard) Sabo of Wallingford; her brother and sister-in-law, Caroll J. and Helen J. Nowotenski of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Carolyn Myers and Mae Dsupin.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, when the funeral cortege will proceed to SS. Peter and Paul Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.

PHIL WIELGOSH
WALLINGFORD — Phil "Giagi" Wielgosh, 76, of Western Sands, Wallingford, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of June Socha Wielgosh.
Born June 12, 1922, in Southington, son of the late Joseph and Stefana Folcik Wielgosh, he was a Wallingford resident for 52 years. He had been employed by the American Cyanamid Co., of Wallingford, now known as Cytec, for many years until his retirement 22 years ago. He was parishioner of St. Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church in Wallingford. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
Besides his wife, Mr. Wielgosh is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil J. and Susan Wielgosh of East Hampton, and Robert and Sharon Wielgosh of Yalesville, four grandchildren, Jamie Wielgosh, Keri Wielgosh, Robert Wielgosh Jr. and Ashley Wielgosh; a sister, Stella Michaud of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Adolph "Lefty" Wielgosh and Edward Wielgosh.
His family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, from the Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. .Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Wallingford.

ALICE BETTI
SOUTHINGTON — The funeral for Alice Betti will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be held at the Forestville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Among her survivors are a sister, Nancy Barnes Shaw, and a brother-in-law, Al Shaw.

BETTINA L. TINKER
SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. — Bettina L. (Theyskens) Tinker, 78, of South Yarmouth, died Sunday, Sept. 6, at her home. She was the wife of Wayne A. Tinker of South Yarmouth.
She was born in Long Island, N.Y., and raised and educated in Stamford, Conn. She graduated from Stamford High School. She married on July 4, 1940, and became a homemaker. She lived briefly in Hartford before moving to Hartland. She then moved to Simsbury in 1944 and in 1945 moved to Granby. While in Granby, she was a member of the First Congregational Church of Granby. In 1969, she moved with her husband to Warwick, R.I., and in 1988 moved to South Yarmouth. While on Cape Cod, she was a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist. She loved sewing and shopping and was an avid reader.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Andrew N. Tinker of Durham, Conn.; one daughter, Pamela Palmer of Simsbury, Conn.; one brother, William Theyskens; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the United Churches of Durham, 236 Main St., Durham, Conn. Burial was private.

GRACE A. VUMBACCO
MERIDEN — Grace A. Vumbacco, 81, of 33 Cone Ave., wife of the late Vincent S. Vumbacco, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, in the Coccomo Memorial after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Jackson, Miss., the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Miller Reed. She was a resident of Meriden for the past 54 years. She had lived at 388 Glen Hills Road for many years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph V. and Lee Vumbacco of Naples, Fla.; and Westchester, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Scott Vumbacco and Tracey Vumbacco, both of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be private, held at the convenience of the family. She will be interred next to her husband in West Cemetery. Her family feels that contributions to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492, would be a most fitting tribute of remembrance. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St.

ALICE C. WANAT
MERIDEN — Alice C. Murphy Wanat, 82, of Brookdale Road, Meriden, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Bronis S. Wanat.
Born July 6, 1916, in Meriden, she was a daughter of the late Frederick M. and Caroline Kelly Murphy and was a Middletown and Portland resident for several years and a Meriden resident for 57 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth A. LaPointe of Middlefield; a son, James J. Wanat of Meriden; five grandchildren, Donna Spencer of Southington, Theresa Wanat of Holbrook, N.Y., Deborah Sinon of Meriden, Laura Ellis of Tampa, Fla., and Cindy Piscitelli of Yalesville; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Murphy of Middletown and Mary McBrien of Portland; and a brother, John Murphy of Cromwell. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Terrence S. "Terry" Wanat; three brothers, Robert Murphy, Harold Murphy and Frederick Murphy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Terry Wanat Scholarship Fund, c/o the Meriden Foundation, P.O. Box 951, Meriden, CT 06450. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville.

CONCETTA CAMMARATA
NEW BRITAIN — Concetta Cammarata, 86, formerly of South Main Street, New Britain, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Southington Care Center. She was the widow of Vincenzo Cammarata, who died May 18, 1979.
Born in Sortino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Mauro and Vincenza (Petruzello) Ramondetta. She was a New Britain resident since 1955 and was employed as a seamstress for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the St. Sofia Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Nannina and Antonio DiPietro and Nancy and Joseph Mariano, all of New Britain, and Sophie and Santo Albino of Southington; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
