JOAN E. MUNGER
MERIDEN — Joan E. Munger, 66, of 1095 Old Colony Road, Meriden, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1932, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Edwin T. and Leola Rolfe Chandler. She had worked at Cooper Industrial in Bristol and was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Munger of Burlington; a granddaughter, Cassidy Munger of Burlington; and her live-in companion, Charles C. Levasseur. She was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Chandler.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, from the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 950 Main St., South Meriden, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. If desired, contributions in Mrs. Munger's memory may be made to Holy Angels Church, 950 Main St., South Meriden, CT 06451. There are no calling hours.

BENJAMIN F. ORZECH
MERIDEN — Benjamin F. Orzech, 80, of Meriden, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, West Campus.
Born Sept. 4, 1918, in Meriden, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Frances Orzech. Mr. Orzech was a lifelong resident of Meriden and was educated in local schools. He was employed by the Public Works Department for 22 years, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by three sisters, Genevieve Gawel and Theresa Lemke, both of Meriden, and Frances Pallatto of Southington; one brother, Joseph Orzech of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Veronica Muszynski and Mary Smith, and a brother, Stanley Orzech.
Relatives and friends may call at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, followed by a committal service in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

EUGENE ROBITAILLE
MERIDEN — Eugene "Pep" Robitaille, 82, of 5 Spring Glen Drive, husband of the late Deolinda (Pachero) Robitaille, died on Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998.
Born Oct. 13, 1915, in Fall River, Mass., he was the son of the late Adolphe and Zoe (Dansereau) Robitaille. He attended St. Ann's Parochial School in Fall River, and had lived in Meriden for over 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Robitaille was self-employed in the Meriden area for many years, and then retired from the state of Connecticut. He was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church and a member of the VFW, Meriden Lodge No. 77.
Mr. Robitaille is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Hurst and John Hurst Sr. of Meriden; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene T. and Mary L. Robitaille of Meriden; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frederick Robitaille of Rockland, Fla., and Leo Robitaille of Fall River, Mass.; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Leona Gagnier and Yvonne Plomonde, and two brothers, Norman and Emil Robitaille.
The funeral will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, from the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 9 a.m. in St. Laurent Church. Burial with military honors will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.

PATRICIA TRIOMPO
SOUTHINGTON — Patricia Triompo, 52, of 73 Mountain Edge Drive, died Sept. 18, 1998, at Bradley Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 31, 1946, in New Britain, a daughter of the late Vincent C. and Gertrude (Zajac) Triompo. She was a teacher at Kelley School. Miss Triompo graduated from Central Connecticut State University. She was a member of the PTO and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Lavoie of Plantsville, Marie and her husband, Aurele Cormier, Betty Jane and her husband, Robert Cole, all of Southington; six nieces and nephews, Joseph Lavoie, Laura McKnerney, Michael Lavoie, Eric Cormier, Paula Gustavson and Nicole Cole; and six great-nieces and -nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., 300 Research Parkway, Meriden CT 06450, or CT Children's Medical Center Foundation, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106.

EVA KATZMAN
WALLINGFORD — Eva Katzman, 95, of 174 North Cherry St., died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at the Jewish Home for the Aged in New Haven.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1902, in Russia, a daughter of the late David and Ida Flauman Katzman. Before her retirement she was employed at the former Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford. She was a member of Hadassah.
She is survived by a sister, Mildred Groobert of Wallingford, with whom she lived; and a niece, Hinda Revitch of Utica, N.Y. She was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Revitch, Bessie Katzman, and a brother, Max Katzman.
A graveside service will be held at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Dudley Ave., Wallingford, on Sunday , Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. It is suggested that gifts in her memory be sent to the Beth Israel Synagogue, c/o Mrs. Julius Gold, 9 Pine Glen Terrace, Wallingford, 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford, is in charge of the arrangements. A period of mourning will be private.

THOMAS S. STIRLING JR.
HAMDEN — Thomas S. Stirling Jr., 44, of 20 Orchard Court, son of Thomas S. and Joyce Rogers Stirling, died Friday at the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven after a long illness.
He was born in New Haven, April 20, 1954, and was employed by Corometrics Company for eight years. He was a graduate of the Connecticut School of Electronics and a member of Trinity Church on the Green, New Haven.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Sheryl L. DeMott of Wallingford, and Karen S. Gilbert of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Roger L. Stirling of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Hawley Lincoln Memorial, 493 Whitney Ave., New Haven. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Hospital of St. Raphael Foundation, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511.

ARLENE E. LEHERISSIER
MERIDEN — Arlene Evelyn Hanny LeHerissier, 77, of Pinehurst Drive, died Sunday at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of William Albert LeHerissier.
She was born in Meriden, Sept. 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Jack and Wilna Mayer Hanny.
Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn St. Onge of Wallingford, Patricia and David Singe of East Brunswick, N.J., Carole and Bill Williams of Meriden and Brenda Shettleworth of Wallingford; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Wilkonson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden. Burial will be at Walnut Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 20 Catlin St., Meriden, CT 06450.

FLORENCE D. LIDTKE
MERIDEN — Florence D. Karash Lidtke, 77, of Dana Road, beloved wife of Paul A. Lidtke, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Lidtke was born in Meriden, a daughter of the late Stanley and Catherine Modelski Karash and had been a Wallingford resident for 39 years, until moving to South Meriden 10 years ago. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne F. and Gregory Gallager of Manchester; her son and daughter-in-law, Leslie P. and Patti Lidktke of South Meriden; her four grandchildren, Ryan Gallager, Holly Gallager, Lauren Lidtke, and Kirsten Lidtke; her two sisters, Mary Kirby and Alice Stumpf, both of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Anne E. Thurlow and three brothers, Alexander Karash, William Karash, and John Karash.
Her family will receive relatives at the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m, when a funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Meriden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St., South Meriden, CT 06451.

HERBERT P. NEVILLE
MERIDEN — Herbert P. Neville, 75, of 101 Sorries Court, South Meriden, husband of the late Shirley Turcotte Neville, died, Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in Westfield Care and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.
Born in Meriden, Oct. 24, 1922, he was the son of the late James J. and Katherine (Lersch) Neville. He was a lifelong resident of Meriden, having graduated from Meriden High School. Mr. Neville was employed by the National Cylinder Gas Co. of South Meriden for 27 years and United Concrete Products of Yalesville until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army Air Corps. Mr. Neville was a decorated turret gunner with 20 combat missions over Germany. On March 7, 1946, Mr. Neville received the Connecticut Humane Society's silver medal for saving the life of a young girl from a fire. He was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9965.
He is survived by his son, James H. Neville Sr. of Deep River; a grandson and his wife, James H. and Deborah Neville Jr. of New Milford; a granddaughter, Marcey Blake; and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Blake, both of Cromwell; two sisters, Mrs. Joan DeFrancisco of Southington and Mrs. Jean Gilmore of Ocala, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Neville was predeceased by a brother, Raymond.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. from the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 1 p.m. at Holy Angels Church, South Meriden. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
