Mary A. D’Agostino
SOUTHINGTON — Mary A. D’Agostino, 82, of 500 Pleasant St., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Angelo P. D’Agostino.
Born in Waterbury, Nov. 16, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy (Gambino) Carofino. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at G.E. in Plainville. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Angelo R. D’Agostino and his wife, Susan, of Oxford; a daughter, Barbara Boudreau and friend, Stephen Kerelejza, of Plantsville; a brother, George Carafino; two sisters, Eleanore Barnes and Lucy Niland, all of Meriden; four grandchildren, Robert and his wife, Brenda D’Agostino, Michael D’Agostino, Chad and his wife, Lisa Boudreau, and Ryan Boudreau; two great-granddaughters, Brittney and Alyssa D’Agostino; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert D’Agostino.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.

Ricarda R. Diaz
MERIDEN — Ricarda Roman Diaz, 84, of Willow Street, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at the Westfield Care and Rehab Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Santiago Diaz.
Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, Jan. 19, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Ricarda Roman. She was a Meriden resident for 20 years and was a member of Christian Pentecostal Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son, Sonia Ortiz and Juan Diaz, both of Meriden; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ermolindo Diaz and two daughters, Nydia Soto and Merida Rodriquez.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in the Christian Pentecostal Church, 60 Liberty St., Meriden, Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville.

Lillian O. DiSarro
DURHAM — Lillian O. DiSarro, 82, of 126 Parmelee Hill Road, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Middlesex Hospital. She was the wife of Guy R. DiSarro.
Born in Durham, Aug. 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Herbert W. and Gladys Pennery Otte. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany in Durham, where she was active in the choir and the altar guild. She was later an active and longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Meriden. She was also a member of the Durham Grange and the Durham Fair Association.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Robert Westendorff of Durham and Denise DiSarro of Carmel, Ind.; a sister, Charlottte Webster of Rockfall, Conn.; a brother, Albert Otte of Davenport, Fla. She was predeceased by three brothers, David Otte, Herbert Otte and Carl Otte.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 262 Bee St., Meriden. The Rev. Gary M. Mueller will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. If desired, contributions in Mrs. DiSarro’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 127 Washington Ave., P.O. Box 188, North Haven, CT 06473-0188 or to Gideon American Bibles, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, 262 Bee St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Ned Grayeb
NORTH HAVEN — Ned Grayeb, 93, of 43 Blakeslee Ave., died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at St. Raphael’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Irene Caneschi Grayeb, father of Ned Grayeb Jr., Barbara Dougan and Theresa Miranda, and grandfather of Brendan, Keith and Kate Grayeb.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church, North Haven at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospital of St. Raphael’s Foundation, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511.

Marie Anderson
SOUTHINGTON — Marie Anderson, 81, of Claudia Drive, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles Anderson.
Born Aug. 4, 1917, in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angelina Petrucci. She had retired from New Departure and was a communicant of Mary Our Queen Church.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by three sons, Kelly Anderson of Southington, Robert and Kevin Anderson of Bristol; a daughter, Joan Gamache of Southington; a sister, Ann Gnazzo of Bristol; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John Anderson.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to Mary Our Queen Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m.

Kathleen Greene
SOUTHINGTON — Kathleen (Shabon) Greene, 64, of 55 Dogwood Drive, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of George Greene.
Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Southington, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Gladke) Shabon. She had been employed by the former Southington Bank and Trust. Mrs. Greene was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church, a member of the Church Choir, the Holy Rosary Society, the Calendar House Senior Center and the Southington Festival Chorale.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael S. Greene, and his wife, Cynthia M. of Las Vegas; five daughters, Carissima G. Derynoski, and her husband, Michael S. of Southington, Pamela Greene of Honesdale, Pa., Gloria Pawlak, and her husband Rick of Anchorage, Alaska, Marilyn A. Greene of Granby and Melanie R. Greene of Meriden; two sisters, Ann (Shabon) Greene of Southington and Helen (Shabon) Brouillard of Litchfield; three grandchildren, Austin W. Greene of Honesdale, Pa., Alecia D. and Emily R. Derynoski, both of Southington, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie (Shabon) Patla.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Connecticut Children’s Center Foundation, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106.

John J. Lajewski
WALLINGFORD — John J. Lajewski, 86, of Clinton Avenue, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of the late Nellie Pascion Lajewski.
Mr. Lajewski was born in Westfield, Mass., on March 27, 1912, and was the son of the late Konstanty and Kazmiera Lochowska Lajewski. He has been a resident of Wallingford since 1926 and was a baker employed at Helimen’s Bakery for 42 years. He served in the U.S. Army for over three years as a staff sergeant. He was a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Church, also a member of the Wallingford Senior Center.
He leaves three brothers, Frank Lajewski of Meriden, Chester Lajewski of Naples, Fla., and Edmund Lajewski of Kenner, La. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Lajewski, and a sister, Stacia Socha.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Fitzgerald Memorial Funeral Home, 209 Center St., Wallingford, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Bzdyra of SS. Peter and Paul Church officiating. Interment will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Wallingford.

Henry J. Sioch
MERIDEN — Henry J. Sioch, 81, of Swain Avenue, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in his home with his family at his side. He and his beloved wife, Mary DeAngelis Sioch, had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January 1996.
Born in Meriden, March 11, 1917, son of the late Stanley and Adeline Sioch, he was a lifelong resident. He had been employed by the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Co., of North Haven, for 25 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy for 11 years. He enjoyed a full and active retirement life traveling, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, Mr. Sioch is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Mickiewicz of Meriden; his son, Sonne John Sioch of Meriden; his two grandsons, Thomas Amann Jr. and Michael Mickiewicz; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Edmund and Ann Sioch of Summerfield, Fla., and Benjamin and Rose Sioch of Hollywood, Fla., and Dolores Sioch of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Casimir Sioch.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday (TODAY) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Military honors will be accorded at the church following the Mass. Interment will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 188, North Haven, CT 06473.

Jean Baddeley
MERIDEN — Jean (Kaloski) Baddeley, 59, of Meriden, wife of Thomas B. Baddeley Sr., died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice in Branford on Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Meriden on Feb. 13, 1939, she was the daughter of Mrs. Michael (Sophie) Kaloski of Meriden, and the late Michael Kaloski. She attended local schools and lived her entire life in Meriden. Mrs. Baddeley was employed by the Holiday Inn and the Yale Inn for some 23 years, and more recently was with the Fosdick Corp. of 11 years. She was an avid bingo player in the Meriden area.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Laurie Baddeley Fujio, and Tamie Baddeley Boulier, both of Meriden; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Mary Baddeley of Glastonbury; a grandson, Kyle Fujio of Meriden; four sisters, Doris Pascucci, Eleanor Hodgkin, Susan Sznicer, and Florence Woronick, all of Meriden; and two brothers, Michael and Edward Kaloski, both of Meriden; and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Baddeley was predeceased by a brother, John Kaloski.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 61 Burban Drive, Branford, CT 06405, or to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 188, North Haven, CT 06473.

Johnathan M. Bozenhard
MERIDEN — Johnathan M. Bozenhard, 14, son of Gretchen Bozenhard of Woodland Terrace, Meriden, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in the MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
He was born in New Haven, Nov. 18, 1984, and had been a Meriden resident for several years.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Jeannie Bozenhard of Wallingford and Kasey and Gretchen Bozenhard; his brother, Kyle Bozenhard, all of Meriden; his dear aunt, Jean Chapman; his 12 foster sisters and brothers, two special friends, Ilsa Noble, and Jim Moore, and all of the people at High Hopes who loved him and all of the people at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center who cared for him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford. The Rev. Meredith Jeffers, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Meriden, will officiate. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to High Hopes, 44 Woodland Terrace, Meriden, CT 06450.
