Caroline H. Rousseau
DUNNELLON, Fla. - Caroline H. Rousseau, 75, of 3883 S.W. 186th Court, Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Meriden, died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, after a long illness. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Nov. 30, 1923. She is survived by her three loving daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Joseph Ryzoc of Dunnellon, Fla., Janice and John Rees of Meriden and LisaAnne Rousseau of Meriden. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest A. Rousseau.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Saint Laurent Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Marion County, Inc., P.O. Box 4860 Ocala, FL 34478-4860.

Ann S. Borysewicz
SOUTHINGTON — Ann S. (Dlugolenski) Borysewicz, 81, of Old Turnpike Road, Plantsville, died Jan. 7, 1999, at home. She was the wife of the late Stanley Borysewicz.
Born in New Britain, Nov. 7, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Frances (Stryzewski) Dlugolenski. She was a lifelong Southington resident and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by a son, Matthew Borysewicz of Plantsville; two daughters, Carole Dzilenski of Ludlow, Vt., and Ann Marie Damiani of Northfield; a sister, Antoinette Krezel of Southington; and two grandchildren, Adam and Clare Dzilenski. Besides her husband, Stanley, she was predeceased by a son, Alan Borysewicz.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at 9 a.m. at Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 South Main St., Plantsville, with a Mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Gladys Brockway
WALLINGFORD — Gladys Brockway, 95, of the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center, formerly of 750 Whitney Ave., Hamden, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Brockway Sr.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Dec. 27, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ellanor Barr Kniffen. She was a past worthy matron of Mystic Chapter No. 20, O.E.S., in North Haven. Until her retirement, she was a registered nurse at the former Grace Hospital.
She is survived by three sons, Clifford Brockway of North Haven, Col. Lawrence N. Brockway of Conyers, Ga., and the Rev. Kenneth Brockway of White Plains, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Masonic Home Chapel, Masonic Avenue, Wallingford. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy H. Burgess
MERIDEN — Dorothy H. Burgess, 97, formerly of Clinton Street, wife of the late Frank E. Burgess Sr., died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Regency House in Wallingford after a lengthy illness.
Born in Meriden on Oct. 6, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Young) Norton. Mrs. Burgess lived in Meriden, attended local schools and was a graduate of Laurel Business School.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Anthony Novicelli of Meriden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Jr. and Simmone Burgess of Meriden and Richard and Rita Burgess of Durham; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph School, 159 West Main St., Meriden, CT 06451 or to a charity of one's choice.

Rose L. Carpentino
HAMDEN — Rose Lisa Carpentino, 75, died Jan. 6, 1999, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Frederick H. Carpentino.
She is was the mother of Mrs. Donald (Laverle) Velardi and Angela Carpentino, both of Wallingford; Mrs. John (Charlene) Fonda of Guilford, Mrs. Anthony (Lisa) Lancia of New Haven, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Giangrande and Michele Rose Carpentino, both of Hamden; and Frederick and Patricia Carpentino of New Haven; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. Friends may call Friday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 61 Burban Drive, Branford, CT.

Anton G. Bosch
CHESHIRE — Anton G. Bosch, 93, of 1293 Half Moon Road, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at the Greenery Extended Care Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of the late Lisbeth Krause Bosch.
Mr. Bosch was born in Germany, July 13, 1905, and came to America at the age of 17. He was a master baker and owner of the former Gilbert's Bakery in New Haven. He was a member of the Connecticut Baker's Association and served as president from 1951 to 1953. He was a noted innovator in bread production techniques, receiving special recognition at the National Baker's Convention in Chicago. He was also an active member of the New Haven YMCA Men's Club for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Louise B. Meusel of Cheshire and Alvina B. Kain of McIndoe Falls, Vt.; a sister, Luise Weckesser in Germany; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenery Recreation Department, 50 Hazel Road, Cheshire, CT 06410, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.

Monique L. Fortin
MERIDEN — Monique L. Fortin, 49, wife of Bruno Fortin of 72 Amity St., died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 17, 1949, in St. Prosper, Quebec, Canada, and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Denise (Larochelle) Binet. Mrs. Fortin was a resident of Meriden for numerous years and was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church.
Besides her husband, Bruno, she leaves two sons, Dale and Donny Fortin, both of Meriden; two sisters, Aline Quirion of St. George, Quebec, Canada, and Bertha Hyde of Lincoln, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at 9:15 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Meriden, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in St. Laurent Church. Burial will follow in St. Laurent Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m.

Fred J. Gagne
MERIDEN — Fred J. Gagne, 67, a beloved father and grandfather, of Franklin Street, died Jan. 4, 1999, in the home of his daughter after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Dolores Dennis Gagne.
Born in Meriden, Feb. 11, 1931, son of Aurore Gagne of Meriden and the late William Gagne, he was a lifelong Meriden resident. He had worked as a construction worker until his retirement several years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Anthony Rusate of Wallingford; a son, Gerald Hester of Meriden; six grandchildren, Domonic Hester, Jennifer Hester-Beckworth, Mary Kay Hester, Anthony Rusate, Christopher Rusate and David Rusate; a great-grandson, Christopher Beckworth; a brother, Joseph "Lou" Gagne; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James J. Gagne.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville, Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Yalesville Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment, with military honors, will be in St. John Cemetery. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the MidState VNA Hospice, 658 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Elizabeth D. McNamara
SOUTHINGTON — Elizabeth D. McNamara, 78, of 158 Candlewood Lane, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at home. She was the widow of William J. McNamara.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Cecelia Donlin, she was a former 20-year resident of Monroe.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and William Gillis of Southington; two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Donna McNamara of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Kevin T. and Susan McNamara of South Lake, Texas ; two sisters, Anmarie Donlin of Chevy Chase, Md. and Norjean Ray of Naples, Fla.; four granddaughters, Marissa Sylvester, Megan Gillis, Cassidy and Caitlin McNamara; one great-granddaughter, Emily Morgan Sylvester. She was predeceased by a daughter, Monica Anne McNamara.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, to Mary Our Queen Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Lillian G. Mellor
SOUTH WINDSOR — Lillian G. Mellor, 72, formerly of 410 E. Main St., Meriden, wife of the late James A. Mellor, died on Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington after a lengthy illness.
Born on May 16, 1926, in North Haven, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Hess) Glenn. She was a graduate of schools in North Haven and had lived in the Wallingford and Meriden area for most of her life. Mrs. Mellor was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Tony Jackson of South and Beth and Charles Blundell of West Peabody, Mass.; a son, James S. Mellor of Meriden; six grandchildren, Amy, Meghan, Michelle, Brittany, Grace and Daniel; two sisters, Madeline Gill of Wallingford and Alice Goulett of North Haven; and four brothers, Frank Glenn, Edward Glenn and Robert Glenn, all of North Haven and Raymond Glenn of Wallingford; and by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mellow was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Lillian's daughters would like to thank the Glenn family for making this last Christmas so special.
