Mary Veronica Scirpo, 88, wife of the late Anthony Scirpo of 100 Randolph Rd, formerly of 33 Round Hill Rd, died Monday at the Middlesex Health care Center. She was born January 17, 1923 in Middletown, daughter of the Late Louis and Rose ( Fazzino) Barone. She was a Long standing member of St. John Church. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress. She is survived by a son and daughter in law Anthony J. Scirpo and his wife Elizabeth. A daughter and son in law Teresa and Attilio Augeri of Middletown. A Brother Salvatore Barone of Middletown. Two sisters Phyllis Lentini of Durham and Rose Carta of Middletown. Her beloved Grandchildren Jessica Ruiz and her husband Julio of West Haven. Nicholas Augeri, Matthew Scirpo and Alicia Augeri of Middletown. A Granddaughter Carmella Ruiz of West Haven. Also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Louis Barone.
Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 9 A.M. from the D’Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main st followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. John Church. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday from 5-8 P.M.

Mary Guarino
(March 26, 1914 - September 22, 2011)
MARY GUARINO Mary C. Guarino, 97, wife of the Late Louis J. “ Red” Guarino Sr. passed away on September 22, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital. She was born March 26, 1914 in Middletown, daughter of the Late Sebastian and Carmelina ( Carta) Ripa. She is survived by her daughter Emily and her husband Donald Libano, Two Sons Gerald A. Guarino and his wife Lucy and louis J. Guarino Jr. and his wife Janice. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren Melissa and her husband Michael Dinallo, Lisa and her husband Jay Brown, Celeste and her husband Paul Danzi, Linda and he husband Art Reil, Jennifer and her husband Rob Lamy, Brian Libano and Lorenzo Guarino. Seven Great grandchildren Chelsea and Jocelyn Dinallo, Melinda and Linda Brown, Isabella and Connor Danzi and Caitlin Lamy. Also many nieces and nephews and a brother in Law Vincent J. Guarino. She is predeceased by her brother Salvatore Ripa and her sister Anna Campisi and Santina Johnson. Mary Was an Accomplished Gourmet Cook and Baker and a talented seamstress and Gardener who loved knitting and crocheting and watching TV cooking shows, and the UConn Girls basketball team. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi church and the Italian Society of Middletown. Her family wishes to sincerely thank all who tendered her compassionate care at Middlesex Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 9 A.M,. from the D’Angelo Funeral 22 South main st followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 A.M,. at St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Sunday from 4-6 P.M.

George N. Piangenti
(October 12, 1925 - September 24, 2011)
George N. Piangenti, 85, of 2 Sand Hill Rd, Middletown, husband of Rose ( Fazzino) Piangenti, died Saturday September 24, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice Care Unit surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1925 in Middletown, son of the Late Niccolo Rocco and Angela ( Passamano) Piangenti of Italy. He was a Veteran of WW II serving with the US Army 71st Infantry Division in Europe. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 1224 and had owned his own tile company. He enjoyed Going to the beach, camping, dancing , gardening and sports Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Maria Waz and a Son Paul R. Piangenti and his wife Lisa of Middletown. Three grandchildren Anthony Waz, Allyson Piangenti and Taylor Piangenti of Middletown. Also several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a Son George Jr, of Middletown, a Future Son in law Steven Indino and three sisters Francis, Connie and Ann . Two brothers Salvatore and Wallie Piangenti. The family would like to thank VA Staff , MHCC Staff and Middlesex Hospices Care Staff. For their kindness and compassion Funeral Services will be held Weds morning at 10 A.M. at The D’Angelo Funeral Home 22 South main St. Burial with military honors will be in the Family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery. Aanna Augeri Anderson
January 27, 1914 - December 15, 2012
Anna ( Augeri) Anderson, 98, wife of the Late John Anderson, passed away on December 15, 2012 at the Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit. she was born January 27, 1914 in Middletown, daughter of the Late Michael and Anna ( Passamano) Augeri.
she leaves a daughter Carol Fournier and her husband Donald of New Britain. Two grandsons Brian Lesuer and his wife carol of Hopkinton Mass and Stephen Lesuer and his wife Sharon of Plainville. A Granddaughter Laurie Lesuer of West Hartford.. two great grandsons and two step grand daughters . A sister Rosemarie Vecchitto and a brother Joseph Augeri both of Middletown.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 A.M. from the D’Angelo Funeral home 22 South Main st followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. at St. Sebastian church. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday morning from 930-10:30 A.M. Joseph C. Skubel
September 15, 1929 - January 16, 2013
Joseph C. Skubel, 83 of 279 Prout Hill Rd, Middletown, passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at Middlesex Convalescent Center. Beloved husband of 61 years to Eleanor ( Germano) Skubel. born on September 15, 1929, in Middletown, son of the Late Stanley and Louise ( Kujawski) Skubel. A lifelong resident of Middletown, Joe worked at the Goodyear Rubber Co. In his early years and then retired in 1991 from Pratt Whitney Aircraft after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong member of st. Sebastian church. Joe loved golfing, when he was able and later in life enjoyed his bird sanctuary and gardening. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving daughter, Debra ( Skubel) Robinson, his grandson James Joseph Robinson both of Middletown. A Brother John Skubel of Meriden. Two sisters Mary Dickinson of Middletown and Dorothy Skubel of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Stanley and Bernard Skubel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian church. Burial will be private. In Lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the ASPCA 424 East 92nd St New York. N.Y. 10128 or the American Diabetes Assn. 2080 Silas Deane Highway 2nd floor Rocky Hill 06067. Frank C. Cammarota
December 29, 1945 - January 20, 2013
Frank M. Cammarota, 68, husband of Cheryl ( Geremia) Cammarota of
Middlefield passed away Sunday at the Middlesex Health Care Center, Middletown. He was born December 29, 1945, in Kensington, son of Kathryn ( Longo) Cammarota and the late Pasquale Cammarota. He was a member of St. Colman Church. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Pratt Whitney Aircraft for 27 yrs. He was a Graduate of Berlin High School class of 64, and was a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a regular overnight volunteer at the Wallingford Emergency Shelter, Inc.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Matthew F. Cammarota and a Daughter Carrie Reny. Two sisters Elisa Zajac and Roseann Kozlowski. 4 Grandchildren Sophia and Stella Reny and Mateo and Maribella Cammarota.
A Niece Paula Zajac and nephews Steven Zajac, Todd, Scott, Sean McGrath.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 A.M. at St. Colman church, Middlefield. Burial in Middlefield Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to

Francis J. Lentini
November 2, 1917 - January 25, 2013
Francis J. Lentini, 95, of Middletown, husband of Phyllis (Barone) Lentini, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday January 25, 2013. He was born in Portland, CT on November 2, 1917 to the late Carrado and Mary Lentini and was a lifelong resident of the Middletown area. Frank was proud to be a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, fighting for and serving our country overseas in Belgium, France, England and Germany. He loved to regale his family with his many “war stories” .He worked for over 50 years in the retail business at many stores throughout the New England area including Caldor’s and Sears in Middletown. He worked at Pratt and Whitney’s Middletown plant until his retirement in 1984. In addition to his devoted wife of over 70 years, Frank leaves behind a son, Francis and his wife Michele of Middletown and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Lentini of Vero Beach, Florida, three grandsons-Ian Collins, Matthew Lentini, and Michael Lentini of Middletown and a granddaughter, Amanda Collins of Middletown. Frank also leaves his sister, Genevieve Reale, of Bradenton, Florida and many nieces and nephews.. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Alfred, Charlie, and Ned. He was also predeceased by his two grown children, Linda Lentini Collins and Thomas Lentini. Frank was a jack-of-all-trades and a master at fixing almost anything. He and Phyllis have been active members of St. John Church in Middletown for decades. He served as an usher for years and was always involved in completing creative projects for the church from signs to displays to altar decorations, many of which the parishioners still enjoy today. He always had that beautiful smile on his face and a kind word or a helping hand for everyone. He often left strangers on the street smiling at his jokes and keen sense of humor. Frank loved his family above all else and greatly enjoyed our family dinners and celebrations. He was a member of the Elks Club for years and remains a member of the Sons of Italy and the Knights of Columbus. In recent years, he enjoyed meeting up with his old pals at “The Club” at the South Main Street McDonald’s restaurant on weekday mornings. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, especially the loving and devoted caregivers of the Hospice Center. .Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31 at St. John Church in Middletown at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown on Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank’s name can be made to the St. John Church Renovation Fund.

Edward Klutsavage
September 2, 1926 - January 31, 2013
Edward Klutsavage,86, husband of the Late Connie ( DiMauro) Klutsavage, formerly of 84 Pearl St, Middletown, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 31, 2013, at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. He was born September 2, 1926 in Pennsylvania, son of the Late Stanley and Emily ( Simonovich) Klutsavage . He was a member of St. Sebastian Church. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Standard Knapp of Portland. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the US Army.
Mr. Klutsavage is survived by a daughter and son in law Elaine and Bill Ellis of Glastonbury. Two grandsons John and David Ellis. A sister Ann Adamaitis of New Jersey.
Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 A.M. from the D’Angelo Funeral Home 22 south main followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at st. Sebastian Church. Burial with military honors will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Friday from 9-10:30 A.M. Santina Giuliano
(February 15, 1922 - February 8, 2013)
Santina Giuliano (Musumeci), 90, of Middletown, wife of the late Giuseppe Giuliano, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born on February 15, 1922 in Mellili, Sicily to the late Sebastiana Barone and Rosario Musumeci.
She leaves behind 5 children, Nella Lisitano, Domenico, Rosario, Carmelo, and Sebastian Giuliano; 8 grandchildren, Salvatore, Giuseppe, Sandra, Santina, Giuseppe, Alessandra, Briana, and Joseph; and one great grandchild, Giada.
Santina and her husband moved to the United States in the 1969 with all of their children. Even without knowing the English language, she worked at Peterson Florist Shop in Cromwell. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading the Italian paper, crocheting, and playing with her grandchildren. She was also incredibly devoted to her faith and especially favored Saint Rita. She spent her last years at Middlesex Health Care and the family would like to thank the staff there for their care and support throughout her remaining years.
A memorial service will be held for relatives and friends on Thursday, February 14th from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the D’Angelo Funeral Home on 22 South Main Street in Middletown, Connecticut.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 15th at 9:00 A.M. from the D’Angelo Funeral Home on 22 South Main Street Middletown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church 155 Washington Street, Middletown, Connecticut. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield, Connecticut.

Thomas Augeri
March 17, 1948 - January 26, 2013
Thomas B. Augeri, age 64, beloved husband of Mary (Konareski) of Aiken, SC, formerly of Durham, CT passed away at Georgia Health Sciences on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was born in Middletown, CT on March 17, 1948 to Joseph Augeri and the late Anne (Brandt) Augeri. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Wallingford Post Office until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed the warm winters in South Carolina where he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Restore, the Solicitors Office, and the gift shop at ARMC. He especially enjoyed his summers in Maine. He enjoyed life, talking, and laughing with his many friends and neighbors. He looked forward to watching his grandchildren play baseball and will now have a special skybox seat to all their games. Tom was a beloved family man,loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather who will be missed by those who knew him. Besides his wife of 40 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Guilmartin and husband Wayne of East Granby, Christine Weber and husband Kevin of Wethersfield, brother David of East Windsor, father Joseph of Middletown and five grandchildren, Joshua, Madelyn, Jacob, Tyler, and Olivia. Family Funeral Services will be held Satuday morning at 9;15 from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at Notre Dame Church, Durham. Burial with Military honors will be in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call saturday Morning from 8-9:15 A.M

Joseph Tine
September 25, 1928 - February 11, 2013
Joseph Tine, Jr. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father on February 11, 2013. He is now reunited with his wife Rose Marie B. Tine in heaven. Joe was born to Giuseppe and Santina Carta Tine in Middletown, on September 25, 1928, where he resided for 84 years. He is survived by four children, Cheryl Tine, Joseph Tine III and wife Cheryl, Mark Tine and wife Michele, Rochele Romano and husband Rick. He was blessed with six grandchildren. Joshua, Joseph IV, Zachary, Mikayla, Rose and Ricky. He also leaves behind his dear friend Ann. Joe was born into a family of seven, leaving behind his two sisters, Marie Stagon and Helen Perrone. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Salvatore, Anthony and Theodore. Joe was a lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged. Joe then came home to help run the family business, T & T gas station on Main St. for the next 40 years. He was a proud member of many fraternal organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, was a past Auxiliary State Police, and a member of the Douglas Hose Company #1. Joe was inducted into the Middletown Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 with the 1945 Middletown High School Football team. He was a parishioner and active member of St. Sebastian Church. All that knew and loved him will dearly miss him. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor his memory will be held on Monday February 18, 2013, 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church, Washington St. in Middletown. Burial will be following the mass at St. Sebastian Cemetery with Military honor. D'Angelo's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Sebastian's Restoration Fund. Joe's family would like to thank the staff at Hartford Hospital, ICU Bliss 11 for their outstanding care during his last days.

James Vincent Hannon
February 25, 1927 - February 8, 2013
James "Jlm"" Vincent Hannon, Jr., of Rocky Hill formally Of New Britain died peacefully on February 8, 2013 at CT Hospice in Middletown after a battle with lung cancer. He was born February 25, 1927. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Constance Perruccio Hannon, son of James & Stella (Skarzynski) Hannon. He is also survived by I a son Robert J. Hannon of Farmington, a stepdaughter Karen Wadle of Ludlow, MA, a brother William M. Hannon of Wallingford, 2 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Hannon Socha Johnson of NC. He attended St. Mary's Elementary, New Britain HS and UConn. Jim proudly served our country in the US Navy during WW II. He owned a packaging and printing plant, Diversified Packaging Inc. or as Jim would call it Dumb Pollocks Inc. He was an avid skier, enjoyed golfing and bowling and has numerous trophies. A unique individual with a great sense of humor who made friends everywhere he went. A memorial service will be held at D'Angelos Funeral Home, 22 South Main St, Middletown on Wednesday, February 20th from 6-8- pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be sent to Middlesex Hospital Hospice c/o Dept of Philanthropy 28 Crescent St

Dean Mario Molinari
(July 13, 1955 - February 7, 2013)
Dean Mario Molinari of Middletown, formerly of Durham, passed away at Home unexpectedly on Thursday February 7, 2013. He was born July 13, 1955 in Middletown, son of the Late Dino J. and Ethel Z. Molinari of Durham. Dean was a beloved father, son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by many. He will also be mourned by his former co-workers at Pratt Whitney Aircraft after working 31 years and retiring in 2009. In his free time he loved cooking and his passion was riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by a son and two daughters Dean W. Molinari, Jessica L. Molinari and Sarah M. Molinari of Amston Ct. Three siblings Mary Kay Pickering of Middlefield, David Molinari of Florida and Cora Prince of Middletown. Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and extended family members and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday at 7 P.M at the D’Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St. Burial will be at a Later date in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5-7 P.M.
